Inviting our relatives who’s living in this town for dinner. Actually I book a table a day before but could not make it and I call the manager to re schedule it. We arrived at 6 PM and directly order some food from starter to mains and some dessert. Two of our dishes are to salty, we informed the staff about it, cause it is really really salty. Even we ask our relatives if is it normal for locals to eat such salt level? Other meals taste ok but nothing special. The plush point is the interior, what a great place for hosting events , business lunch or dinner cause the interior is so amazing, jaw dropping. Great place, great time.

The decor of this place is just wow. Never been to a restaurant like this. In a way because it’s dark, got statues and such a big space, it gives you a bit of eerie feeling, like you are in a sacred/forbidden castle. This restaurant connects to a hotel, and near the toilet is a massive hall with a stage and an middle-east-looking garden. I was just in awe with the place. It was super quiet though when we went, we were literally the only table eating that night. The parking is at the hotel, no parking for the restaurant itself. The price of the food for the portion is definitely on expensive side, which isn’t surprising considering the place’s vibe. Had their tom yum soup, pad thai, green curry, papaya salad, beef salad and pandan rice. They were ok except the green curry, I think it was not like any other green curry I have had. Can’t say any of the dish are amazing. But yea even after paying a lot, we can’t say we were full. I guess this would be good for special occasions.

Food is all tasty. Try salty eggs prawn. Also coconut pudding. The seafood also very fresh. Indochina vibes is very thick here. A lot of tourists come here. How they serve the food is very authentic. All places full of indochina arts with stories. You can take tour with staff there (ours experience with Mr Rio) and they could tell you history and show you all the authentic spots.

The food is delicious, we had Pad Thai, Green Curry Fried Rice, North Bangkok Tom Yam Goong, Khlong Bnag Luang’s Tom Kha Gai and our drinks were Lemon Grass Tree n Rosella Tea. All are yummy. The place is quite interesting n rare, we’re like eating in a museum n there are many exciting photo spots in the restaurant. Ms Fanissa served us very well, she’s friendly n helpful… it’s recommended to try all the food in SaigonSan. 👍👍😋😋

I missed the aromatic punch that i expected from a bowl of tom yum. Pho was okay. Mango sticky rice was good but the coconut milk sauce ruined the overall taste, as it was too salty for my palate. The decoration and service saved it all. They had a bunch of helpful stafs and the decoration was just mindblowing, spooky yet stunningly attracting.

I was not sure weather they serve indonesian or thailand or vietnamese food? but I felt very satisfied having family dinner here. This restaurant is located in a very strategic area in Malang city, inside a hotel name Tugu Hotel. The interior is designed as Siamese or Vietnamese style (I wasn't so sure), but it's elegant for sure. The price is a little bit over pricey but we were all satisfied with all the food. I may say that Tomyam Fried Rice is the best ! It's a you must try restaurant if you want to have something different in Malang.

It was not touristy at all and we felt like being in a museum and in an art festival at once - but actually it's just the most impressive restaurant with amazing food! SaigonSan Restaurant & Rooftop (Vietnamese & Thai Food, Garden Cafe by Kawisari) is the best restaurant I have ever encountered in Malang City. When I first set foot in the restaurant, I could feel the oriental atmosphere of the restaurant, then I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist. When I entered the restaurant, it turned out that the atmosphere exceeded my expectations, the place was very comfortable and amazing like in an imaginary world, the restaurant owned by the Tugu Malang Hotel presented a restaurant concept that seemed as if we were in a museum of Indochina, Thailand or Vietnam. The menu served is varied (Thai and Vietnamese specialties). The food ordered is served quickly, and most importantly it tastes delicious.
