😠 Food is expensive, paid RM100 for the crab, & RM25 each for the bamboo clam. Food tasted full of salt, no seafood taste. Disappointing, will not recommend. People often mention porridge, seafood, fish, good,

Seafood porridge is tasty! Third time here and always looking forward to eat again. This time round tried it myself with this single pax portion (usually comes in a claypot); very filling. Basically, the taste is real, in the sense that the sweetness comes from the seafood and ingredients; doubt there is any MSG added. U can also choose your own ingredients! It’s a must for golden mushroom if u like to have some crunchiness. Love it that they provide free wifi! (: really very thoughtful. Thank u!

Seafood so delicious that your mouth do a little dance with every bite. Brought a Korean friend to try Matang today and she loves how flavourful each dish is. The oysters here are large and juicy. The place is famous for its claypot seafood porridge and claypot seafood bee hoon. The broth is sweet and most importantly, the seafood is fresh. Visited this outlet many times and every time i bring guests over... they just polish up the food and leave nothing wasted.

Great food and fairly priced. If you like them on Facebook they would give you a discount the next time you visit them. Conveniently located...just opposite KSL City!

I just compare the fish porridge itself, the porridge, fish and the soup are all taste separately, the soup is not get ‘into’ the fish nor the porridge. Kinda disappointed since all the review are so good. The fish porridge suppose to be ‘fresh’ and tasty is not showing in this porridge. However the meat roll taste nice. Order also the drink , almost finish the meal the drink still not come up yet, thus to cancel the order . Anyway thinking the 白宫@kulai or matang fish porridge seems tasting better..

Ordered their Signature porridge. Seafood was very fresh. Soup was tasty. Fried fish was crispy and lightly seasoned. Also ordered the steamed clams and deep fried crayfish meat. The oversteamed clams were tough and rubbery while crayfish were coated with thick flour. Couldn't feel any crayfish meat at all. Prices are reasonable. Overall, good place to have meal outing. NB... Can select the type of ingredients for your porridge.

Name changed to 老洲瓦煲海鲜鱼粥 - Chew Seafood Garden Restaurant. Why? Don’t know... Food quality still good except veg volume miserably small.

It was alright. Crab bee hoon for two was sufficiently tasty. Crabs are on the small side. Also had steamed prawns which got a little mushy for my liking. Liked the gingery sauce though. Total bill came up to about 70 ringgit.

Nice seafood porridge stall just opposite KSL Shopping mall. Porridge is nice & hot & price is affordable. I ordered a separate bowl of fish porridge at RM 14, came a large bowl & 2 person can share. We had 1 big bowl of seafood porridge (prawn, clam, squid, fish) for 3 paxs, 5 fried fishes, 3 bamboo clams, fried fish cake, ngo Hiang, otah, vege & 4 buah longlong drinks. Total bill 290 ringgit for 6 paxs.

Very yummy seafood porridge that's accessible from KSL City shopping mall (just right opposite across the road). Recommended dish would be the 8 treasures (with crab) seafood porridge, we were 2 pax order came fast and good serving size for 2 (see photo). Can try the bamboo shoots too, tastes fresh and sweet!

Confused by the shop name 🥺 they changed to Woon Yin 🫣🫣 Food tasted ok. Fresh ingredients but lacking the sweetness of the seafood itself.. vege a bit salty.. service was good with attentive staffs.. Can’t complaint much with the price paid. 🤭

It's really difficult to find this place. The name is changed!!! It's called Woon Yin. Hence u won't find Lao Zhou on any of the signboard there. Was told there was a fight between the brothers so they spilt. They're actually sitting across each other. One is this, the other is in ksl mall. U can see them directly. Now about the food. I ordered bamboo clams (rm58 for 2pcs) and grouper + pork ball mee hoon soup (rm 11 for 1 person). Broth wise is decent. I can drink the whole bowl but won't say wow. I'm used to eating Quan Xiang (Bt Timah, Singapore). Comparatively speaking, there's a certain fragrance Quan Xiang's soup has and the fish is silky soft. Woon Yin's fish isn't fresh. It's slightly tough and old. I would not recommend this. It was supposed to be their signature, the cause of brother rivalry but I was disappointed. Bamboo clams are sweet. Fragrant eaten with fried garlic. I love this. Ma Tang, the brother rivalry stall opposite Woon Yin, has 4 tables with customers while I was the only person in Woon Yin.
