Indie,
artsy
and
alternative
peeps,
this
place
is
for
you!
An
old
cinema
turned
into
cutting
edge
art
centre,
RexKL
has
plenty
of
retro
charm
and
inspiring
decor.
There
is
a
very
industrial,
artistic
feel
to
this
place.
The
floors
are
chipped,
the
structure
is
somewhat
crumbling
and
gritty
yet
beautiful.
The
toilets
were
a
little
creepy
but
even
the
graffiti
had
some
artistic
and
punk
rock
feel
to
it.
😂
Lots
of
interesting
art
installations,
vintage
shops,
local
art
stalls
and
food
shops
here.
You'll
definitely
be
surrounded
by
creative,
fashionable
people
who
dress
much
edgier
and
cooler
than
you
😂.
That's
how
I
knew
this
place
was
a
hot
spot
for
the
hip
locals.
The
moment
I
saw
all
that
eyeliner,
flared
pants
and
combat
boots,
I
KNEW
😅
Try
out
the
food
stores
that
serve
a
dizzying
variety
of
local
and
fusion
dishes
and
listen
to
the
thumping,
smooth
beats.
There's
a
vintage
thrift
shop,
a
tattoo
parlour,
a
local
boutique
(Kanoe),
an
alcoholic
ice
cream
parlor,
a
Bila
Bila
Mart
(where
you
can
support
local
artisans
by
buying
their
merch)
and
of
course,
the
labyrinthine
BooksXcess
which
attracts
social
media
influencers
and
bookworms
alike.
I
felt
like
this
place
was
almost
a
little
too
cool
for
me
😂
but
I
had
a
wonderful
time
immersing
myself
here
because
I
loved
the
vibe.
It's
a
must
see
for
foreign
tourists
or
even
locals
who
want
to
check
out
the
indie
art
scene
in
KL.
It's
quirky,
hipster,
edgy
and
yet
deeply
Malaysian.
