Initially, we planned to take the coastal route (𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 route) instead of the forest trail. So we only carried a 0.5-liter bottle of water to reduce the backpack weight, because we thought that it would only take us an hour to get 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡, where we would have had lunch and drinks. But we ran out of water even before we reached the lake. How surprising! We imagined that 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞 would have been romantic with the suspension bridge. But when we arrived, the lake ran out of water because it was in the dry season. However, it was very beautiful when standing there and seeing surrounding scenery. Conservation Fee: 50RM/per

Meromitic Lake is located in Penang National Park, from the entrance of the National Park to the lake it takes 1 to 1.5 hours by walk, if you are lazy for walking/hiking you can also rent a boat to Kerachut Beach, because this lake is in the Kerachut beach area. this is a great place for hiking with good views too.

A 1.5 hour Walk to get there to the beach. Quite a Challenge, But Worth it ! The Forest Track is Not for the Faint Hearted. Bring at least 1 Litre of Water per person to do this walk, otherwise risk dehydration.
