Clinic
unable
to
handle
patient
privacy!
Very
much
concerned
as
the
clinic
failed
to
protect
the
privacy
of
the
patient.
An
incident
involving
the
clinic’s
failure
to
reach
out
the
patient
over
phone
(Call/WhatsApp)
which
lead
clinic
to
call
the
registered
emergency
contact
(parent
mobile/house
number)
just
to
inform
blood
test
result
has
been
ready
to
be
collected
(which
is
not
the
purpose
of
the
emergency
contact
at
first
place).
Due
to
such
mistake,
the
patient
need
to
go
through
a
lot
of
issue
in
explaining
the
situation
and
lost
of
trust
by
all
that
family
members.
That
persistent
situation
has
impacted
the
patient
psychologically,
with
possibility
to
be
disown
by
the
family.
The
situation
worsen
as
the
family
member
are
from
medical
background
and
they
able
to
probe
the
detail
from
the
call,
due
to
the
incompetence
of
the
clinic
assistant
in
maintaining
due
diligence
for
the
patient
clinical
privacy.
TL;DR:
The
patient
is
recommended
earlier
to
conduct
a
blood
test,
and
reassured
that
the
medical
result
will
be
kept
private
and
confidential
between
the
doctor
and
patient.
However,
it
is
informed
by
the
patient
that
there
is
no
process
from
the
registration
earlier
to
validate
the
contact
information
of
the
patient,
and
due
to
the
wrong
phone
number
is
registered
in
their
Clinical
Information
System
by
the
CA,
the
patient
phone
number
is
keyed-in
wrongly
and
have
the
medical
report
sent
out
to
a
wrong
number.
The
patient
is
not
paying
that
hefty
amount
of
test
just
to
get
the
clinical
information
easily
leaked
out
in
such
manner.
The
said
patient
has
also
addressed
the
issue
to
the
clinic
and
head
to
the
clinic
directly
to
speak
to
the
doctor
but
doctor
is
not
available
to
attend
to
the
complaint
(before
this
review
is
written
on
behalf
of
the
patient),
and
only
apologizing
for
the
issue
without
knowing
the
impact
that
they
have
caused
to
the
patient.
