Charmaine of Toll Inn is the epitome of service excellence in the tourism sector in South Africa. Despite Load Shedding we had a superb dinner and this was on top of a lovely spacious room and beautiful places to walk along the Kraai River in the dry Karoo. We have been here before and we will return again and again.

Situated close to the main road , friendly service and rooms are well equipped, beds were comfy and there is even electric blankets on beds , nice braai facility and had a big screen tv for the world cup rugby , will definitely recommend

Rooms well equipped but only gripe are the lights, be prepared to have light shine all night into rooms, food was very good and hosts very friendly

Sadly for the price we paid it was just not worth it. The place is very clean but the service as I said for that price a big fat NO !!. There is no spair blanket in the room. There is a microwave but no cutlery or plates to warm your food. There was no soap. seeing we were booked there for 2 days I know it's difficult with load shedding but maybe you can come around to the rooms and just bring a flask with hot water so we are able to drink something realy not that difficult. Sadly wil definitely not recommended your guest house to my friends and family. What a waste of a lovely place please take care of your guest it's the small things in the end that leaves a lasting memory...

Absolutely fantastic campsite next to the river. Tranquility at its best. Johan and Charmaine make you feel very welcome. One of the best sites you could visit if peace and quiet is your thing.

Wonderful stay over location Food was excellent, service was very friendly, rooms are clean and well kept, lovely walking routes and wonderful scenery. There is a bar, pool tables, common area and a big tree swing! Definitely going to keep this place in mind if I ever overnight close to Aliwal North

Absolutely gorgeous guestfarm with the friendliest service. Will definitely stay there again. Only issues i found was that the cellphone signal for all networks are non existant. Being so far out of Aliwal North, it isnt the Toll Inn's fault, but would be nice if there was a wifi option to be able to just communicate with friends and family that we were safe. The scenery is amazing and i must say the old bridge is a must see. I would highly recommend this as an over night stay.

We had a great time. Lovely walks over the historic bridge and through the forest. We were slightly inconvenienced because there was no power, but the hosts' willingness to help certainly made up for it. The facilities generally need a little TLC.

Very neat and relaxing place to stay. Friendly owners and the rooms are big with a loft area.

This was my second stay and like the first time the service was good. The accommodation was good and the setting is just lovely. Prices are not unreasonable either
