Hotel was stunning! Beautiful location right on the beach front. Room was perfect, beds changed every day and were comfy, shower was brilliant, Service was good, we spent a day laying by the pool side and the staff were fantastic! Bringing drinks etc to you. Only a short walk to restaurant, bars etc. I never got trying the food as we were self catering. Would I return again? Yes!

best hotel! visited in may 2023 and met with welcoming and friendly staff. rooms are beautiful with extra large balconies- upkeep was fantastic. the spa, communal areas and restaurant were 5*. drinks service unmatched and nothing is ever too much. easy access to a beautiful beach and the strip is full of lovely shops and places to eat! so excited to return this summer.

So so much to be desired and overall won't be coming back to this area or the hotel. If you want quiet and relaxing, this is NOT the place to go. It's so expensive for what it is. Definitely not 4* only 3*. Reception were lovely and restuarant staff varies, depending on who you get. Cons (and a lot of them): 1) Very noisy and not soundproofed at all. Can hear everyone above to the side and adjacent. I could hear everyone cough, sneeze, go toilet, slamming doors, guests having parties in their rooms, loud guest talking, playing knocking games, laughing down the corridors even after 11pm, parties outside at night and horns being blown. 2) Noise from the campsite next door and various different music playing from the bar, other hotels and beach. 3) Food is OK, mostly the same kind of dishes but with different main ingredients. They finally served some chicken on my last night, but it was soooo dry it was rock hard and overcooked majorly. Everything else has been pork, beef or seafood. Same veg everyday stir fried in loads of oil. Really not worth paying for full board as you still have to pay for your drinks. No real healthy options, salad limited and small appetisers full of mayo. But if you don't get full board, not really sure where you would eat! There's really not much around. 4) Rooms are battered and needs a serious make over. No inside lock on the doors! Mold in places, air vent had a huge gap where it looks like someone has poked it open, bathroom vent full of dust, shower head green with rust, fridge broken, curtain train broken. I had already changed for the original room to another room which had other issues. I killed 10 mosquitos in the room! With 5 more flying out the wardrobes, cupboards etc. More as the days went on. So probably killed about 20+ during the stay. The hotel needs to invest in mosquito killer/incense. Don't even know where they are coming from! Didn't open the door to balcony because of this. Blood stained walls from killing them and some old killing from someone else on the walls. Informed reception and asked for a cleaner to attend to the stains, but it didn't happen. Shower ceiling looks like it's had a leak and just left like that, ants crawling around. I just couldn't be bothered to complain again, as I doubt any other room would of been better. 5) Key fob stopped working suddenly. 6) Aircon too cold even if you crank it up to 24C and can't sleep without it, as the room gets stuffy. 7) Shower water is constantly going hot and cold! One second I'm being scorned, the next I'm freezing! 8) Adult only hotel, but right next to a camp full of children and camp activities with loads of screaming kids during the day, loud rowdy hoodlums screaming by night. 9) Bar staff not so friendly, compared to the restaurant staff. The young guy serving at the pool completely ignored me as I entered the bar. Not even as much as a greeting. Can't imagine why it's not very busy there. However, not all were miserable. The guy on Tuesday night was friendly and was telling me about the singer who comes to entertain on certain nights. Pros (mostly outside of the hotel) 1) Spa included (but don't expect much, it's very small). 2) Sunbeds, but you need to get one by 9am as selfish people put their towels, sunglasses or bags to 'reserve' them and wonder off for hours. 3) Right by the beach. 4) Small strip of shops across from the hotel, I found the atmosphere quite chilled but again very limited. 5) Friendly restaurant staff, however some of the matradees could work on there greeting. I have 2 more days here, but for my sanity I might just check out earlier. I'm so glad I didn't book any longer than 4 days. It feels like I've been here for over a week and not a good one at that! It's so boring here and really not relaxing at all. It's quite tacky around here too. My advice, find somewhere else to stay.

We've enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was spacious with amazing balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor swimming pool area was great. You need to pay for drinks during luch and dinner, if you don't have all inclusive. So be prepared for this.

The staff were all fantastic. Everybody was helpful and friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location for getting to the beach, the main street of Santa Susanna and the train station. The room was great, but the design of the shower isn’t very practical. You must shower huddled in the corner otherwise the water goes everywhere. The water in the shower was also impossible to regulate. It would be scolding hot for a few seconds, then almost cold for a few seconds and then perfect for like a minute. Then the process would start again without ever touching the handle. In the hotel’s defense, though, I never complained about that or told them. I also would have expected to have bottled water everyday rather than only the first day. Overall, our stay was wonderful. I just think that the hotel could do with some updates and, again, everyone that we dealt with at the hotel from reception to cleaning staff to the restaurant staff were absolutely lovely. I’m not sure I’d choose to stay in Santa Susanna again, but if I were to do so, I’d happily stay at this hotel again.

Really enjoyed our stay! Rooms are spacious with a nice balcony and comfortable beds. Breakfast has everything you could want and is kept stocked and neat at all times. For 12 euro's also a very reasonable price. We enjoyed lunch at the beach club which was also good. The first night we went out for dinner outside the hotel but were disappointed with the quality and enjoyed the buffet dinner at the hotel the rest of our stay. For 15 euro's a good deal and the food was pretty good. Staff surprised us with nice touches such as a mini bottle of bubbles delivered to our room. Overall would recommend if you are looking for a carefree lazy beach vacation.

Beautiful hotel on the beach with easy access. All inclusive buffet is nice. If you want to do an excursion, you must be proactive as they are not highly advertised. However if you do want to do one, they are helpful in getting everything set up!

A great hotel which we've been to twice now. Everything is spotless, the staff are excellent and so friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Food is plentiful and there's a good choice. We've opted for the all inclusive deal which is really worth it we think! The location is right on the beach with lovely views. Shops and bars are only a short walk away. We've only been in April and so it's low season; not sure what it's like in high season but I'm sure it's still great. Would really recommend the hotel.

Amazing hotel, good location. The beach is only a minute away. The hotel staff are very helpful. The rooms are well equipped and even have welcome sweets. The breakfast has a wide variety of items to choose from. If you like coffee, the breakfast also offers oat milk, soy milk, low fat milk, whole milk. Very upscale. Don't miss out on the freshly baked Croissant, they are delicious.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is small enough to feel intimate and not overcrowded. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and offered a glass of bubbly. Check in was quick and easy, all costs were explained and we were made to feel very welcome. It was a hot day but the hotel and our room were cool and airy. The room itself was clean and well equipped. It was cleaned and towels / linen replaced daily. Top tip - you don't get replacement tea/coffee after the first day but I'm sure you can ask for it at reception. We didn't as we brought our own. The shower was clean and powerful. The beds were comfortable (we had twin beds which worked out better than a double as we're both tall). The food was delicious and plentiful and we didn't once have a bad meal. All tastes are catered for. The pool area was clean and although the pool is small, we were the only 2 in it so it didn't matter. The spa was very nice. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay. Although we didn't get a chance to thank them all in person, we do so here. We'd particularly like to thank Andreas who was very funny and helpful. We'll definitely come back.

Excellent! Beautiful modern property with a pool and club right on the beach front. The hotel is very conveniently located to explore Barcelona and the charming Costa Brava. The hospitality and ambience was superb, very attentive and efficient hotel personnel. Facilities like the spa and gym were on point.

The only cons I can find is see through glass bathroom door . Did not feel comfortable seating on the toilet when someone can see doing my own business :) even if its your own family :) .

What an absolutely amazing little find. It's a tiny slice of paradise on the Spanish coast. The rooms are fresh and clean, the staff are all lovely and are willing to go the extra mile for you. The food is so much better than we expected, so much choice everyday. I'm vegetarian and often struggle to find a variety in food abroad. This was absolutely not the case, would definitely recommend. Daily use of the spa and sunbeds on the beach was all included, so a nice little bonus. With just minutes until you're on the beach it's a relaxing place to stay. The receptionist even gave us directions to the station down the road to get the train to Barcelona. Plenty of shops and nightlife in the local area too. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing child free holiday.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and I can recommend it. Good and fresh food, nice staff both at the reception and in the restaurant. Bright, modern and nicely decorated rooms. Beautiful view from the window to the sea and other hotels. Close to the beach bar where you can sit in the evening and have a drink or eat something.

Stayed here some years ago (when it's been a Fergus hotel). Small but clean room, nice drinks & food. Big spacious beach just in front of the hotel. Nice pool and just a perfect spot to relax. Barcelona is just a short trip by bus or train away.

I was there with my parents during our vacation times. The hotel is very well maintained and very clean! The location in front of the beach is great! The food was okay. My father and I could use the spa and sauna every day. Also the small fitness studio is passable for a little workout. But a big praise goes to the staff! Everyone (including the cleaning staff) is extremely friendly and accommodating. My mom was not doing so well during the stay. The staff did everything they could to get a doctor there right away. Rice was provided free of charge because of the Situation. They also asked about my mom's well being daily. You can see the love and passion each staff member has for their job. Really absolutely great! Clear recommendation!

Stayed here recently in room 501. Big room, great views & very comfortable. Staff at the hotel were great, simply couldn't do enough for you. Champagne on arrival was a great surprise after a long journey in. Food was great, pool area clean, tidy and comfortable. We'll certainly be returning. Thanks all Scott & Viki.

Very clean, very modern boutique type hotel, right on the beach. Only meal we had was breakfast, which was excellent. Very laid back atmosphere as adults only, sun beds always available and indoor pool & spa a lovely option.

Just spent a wonderful week at Hotel Mar Mediterrània. The hotel itself is great. The room was comfortable and clean with a nice balcony. The food was gorgeous, buffet style, great variety. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and good fun. The hotel is virtually straight onto the beach. The pool area is nice but the 'garden' area (astro turfed) needs some work.

Best Hotel I have been in for a while. Rooms spacious, modern and clean. Staff really helpful and friendly. Food absolutely amazing. Location great. The beach is just 5 minutes away. I had to leave this review and trust me, it doesnt do them justice. Spa services available and was really nice. 👌🏽 Our holiday was very restful and enjoyable. We would go back in a heartbeat!

A lovely, small, modern, spotlessly clean hotel, right on the beach. Excellent service, nothing is too much trouble, especially the reception staff. Food was beautifully presented and of good quality. We had a suite which was spacious and very nice. Overall we felt this hotel to be of a consistently high standard - decor, furniture, plants etc all showed a thoughtful and imaginative approach. No corners were cut. We had the all Inclusive package - we prefer when paying for all Inclusive that everything is included so a minor issue was for example an Aperol spritz being charged with a supplement, and the all inclusive hours are 11am - 11pm and the bar shut at midnight so we had to pay between 11pm and midnight. We brought our car - great that they had a secure carpark literally next door charged at €15 a day which was fab for us.

Hotel staff was awesome. We were greeted by a gentleman from Uruguay (sorry didn't catch his name), we talked every time he was there. The hotel is clean, small gym, sauna, pools with a beautiful view of the ocean. We had drinks, breakfast and meals here at everything was excellent. Service in Barcelona everywhere was great during our stay. I wished that I had stayed in this area longer. Will recommend and will be back.

We stayed here for a week in September and it was outstanding! We didn’t use the hotel restaurant inside as we were room only but we visited the kalima beach bar everyday for food. Food was always well made and extremely tasty! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful with whatever you needed and made my birthday such a special day! The spa was definitely one of our favourites as you can book in for no extra charge at the reception and only pay a €20 for beach towel hire once on your stay which they replace for clean ones when you drop them off at the reception and you get your deposit back at the end of your stay. The maids make the rooms up to the lovely standard and the view from the balcony is beautiful. Music at the bar could be a bit loud but couldn’t hear it with the balcony door shut and was never on too late at night. Short walk to train station and lots of local little restaurants and shops ect. Honestly can’t fault this place. Would defo recommend and visit again!

We are currently on our last day here and the week has been amazing. The hotel and room are really clean and lovely. All the staff are lovely and very helpful. We stayed for my birthday, either the cleaners saw my birthday cards or somebody over heard and I had an unexpected bottle of cava and a card delivered in the evening to the room in the evening. It was such a lovely touch I will never forget. We will definitely be staying again.

Had a brilliant time at Mar med. Staff was friendly and welcoming . Had no problems with getting a sun bed even tho we didn't venture down till 930 . Pool are was clean and tidy . Didn't seem to get busy in the pool which was a bonus . 10/10 my score . I would go back there .

Lovely few days stay, staff very friendly & a modern clean hotel. Unfortunately the food wasn't always to the highest quality and warm or under cooked. Breakfast & lunch were ok, just the evening meal was not up to our standards.

Perfect hotel, nice rooms and a beautiful pool area. There is also a spa and a gym they are both also very nice. The staff is super friendly and alsways willing to help you with anything! The location is perfect as you step right out to the beach. We had a perfect time here and are definitely coming back

This is a superb hotel. We only arrived yesterday , bit I can't wait to share my impressions! 1. The hotel. Very, very nice New amazing bathrooms, stylish decor throughout. 2. The food. Literally, nothing to complain about. Good variety, healthy food, delicious. We are on all-inclusive, which I highly recommend! To all those people moaning that breakfast "is the same", what were you expecting???? That's breakfast for you! Very good variety, but without waste, which I am very passionate about. I had freshly cooked omelette, worth it 100%! 3. The beach. Amazing, and you get 50% discount on sun beds and parasol. All in all, I highly recommend. Staff is friendly, great experience. Don't hesitate and book, you won't regret it!

A perfect place if you are looking for a relaxing vacation time free of children. The hotel is perfectly located - close to the city but also free from the noise. The beach is just across the footpath. The pool area was clean and not too crowded. The food was amazing, plentiful and diverse - both for breakfast and lunch with a variety of options, fresh fruit, pastries and even gluten free options. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. But the best part was the staff: always smiling, welcoming and willing to help. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

We spent a few days during the Easter holidays in this beautiful hotel in front of the beach. All satisfactory! The restaurant is an international buffet. The SPA is also beautiful, the girl who gave me a fantastic massage was very good. The aperitifs are highly recommended !!! congratulations! all Covid 19 regulations complied with. Staff very kind. Parking closed the hotel.
