Queue 01: First, you have to get the receipt for the requirement, to do that you have to provide Old driver's license, ID card, Medical Report (Renewal) (If you are changing the address of the current license you have to inform here). After that, you have to go to the BOC to pay (If they are accepting the cash/card payment here it is very convenient for the people) Queue 02: After that people need to join a different queue to submit the application. If you are renewing the license you can go to the photo counter (Required: Old driver's license, ID card, Medical Report, BOC payment slip) and take the photo. Queue 03: Then you will be direct to a different counter (12, 13, 14) to add the details to the electronic system (Required: Old driver's license, ID card, Medical Report, BOC payment slip) Queue 03: Then you will be direct to a different counter 15 or 16 to collect the temporary license that is valid for 3-4 months It took 3-4hrs for me. The process is smooth but the space inside the building is less compared to the people they are getting daily. You don't have one day service here for renewal. For parking, you need to parking on the road

The efficiency of the service is low. One of the reasons for this is to give priority to those who come through private driving schools.

Staff service and behaviour improved their service more than previously. But the procedures and steps not acceptable for taking new driving license or renew old one. my suggestion is after medical certificate all the process simply can be done through online

Poor service in the Kurunegala Department of Motor Traffic. I wish all staff go to hell, I went 6 time for Driving license renew in Mar 2022 to May 2022, The staff in wasting my time and money in 6 day. So I online bookings 3 times and calling 76 time. Two time a go to department and staff said that your appointment is cancel. I asked what is the reasons She said it's " I don't know, I think it's system issue or etc.....". Don't go to the DMT.

Went there few times over the last week. Honestly it is a mess. Becourse of the covid19 situation the department has become ineffective. Management has to make a proper plan so that people will not waste there valuable time. Recommend online booking for all those things. For the future it is better to move in to a large place to handle the crowd.

Realy time wasting, inefficient service. They provided booking but does not take people on time. Have to waited more time in queue. To pay money have to walked to a BOC. These offices should privatize for a good service

Careless service… I went to renew my driving license on 2022.04.29. Although my driving license expires next week (2022.05.07), they charged a fine of Rs.250.00 as penalty for late renewal. Frustrated about their service.👎

One hell of a place if you would ever wish to go. Very inefficient. We went getting an appointment over the phone and after going there ask for photos certified by the Grama Niladhari. Why can’t they tell us what’s needed and what is the use of giving an online appointment if they can’t tell what’s needed. There’s no one to lodge a complaint even. Public money wasters!

Years ago, this was the worst government office I'd ever visited, after government hospitals. Staff service and behavior were the most disgusting. The procedure is not clear, and no one was supportive. However, staff behavior and service have improved even more than before. Still, some officers think they are doing family business there. Most government offices in Colombo are much better than this.

The most inefficient government agency to serve the people. Bribery is still going on.

Unable to get one day transfer after making appointment. Wasted of two days time. Very poor service. Even the commissioner is not available and staff doesn't know when they can grant the services we need. Waste of time and money. One and only place to register your motor vehicle .. good government service

Efficiency not acceptable. I went for DL renewal in Nov 2021. But they reffered me to online bookings. Finally i got appointment for 25 jan 2022. But they have chareged 250/- as late renewal.. appointment was 1:53. But I had to wait till 2:20 pm.

They have improved the service a little. Most of the work is organized. Good service up to some extent

I appreciate the service they rendered me for extension of my temporary driving licence on 16.05.2023.The Security Officers led me to the relevant place and I could get it done within five minutes .
