Gateau quality is often better than other coffee chains. Apply higher quality fika, central placing, a beautiful local (maybe an old apartment?) and you will get this gem. Doesn't look much from the street but climbing the tiny staircase will be rewarding. With a modern and fresh decor, it was attracting a lot of young people when I was here. A few soft/cozy places to sit, but mostly hard chairs.

Cozy looking café and bakery. Went here to try the semla, and I thought it was a quite nice place.

Blandar ihop veganska och ickeveganska bakverk. Var väldigt försiktiga om ni går hit som vegan.

Fa parte di una catena di pasticcerie di Malmö che propone vari prodotti dal 1937: paste dolci, pane, torte e caffetteria. È dotata di saletta interna e tavolini all'aperto. Ci siamo fermati per una sosta tattica durante una visita della città svedese per un semplice espresso e poi ci siamo lasciati tentare dalle loro irresistibili paste dolci, molto caratteristiche e davvero deliziose. Locale vivamente consigliato

Avoid this one. Tremendously average bakes and coffee, snuck behind the thin veneer of a french bakery. Super disappointed ☹️

Quite average, and the staff were quite rude. Will not be returning to this particular Gateau. I enjoyed the Kopenhagener pastry, which is why I visited this branch. I initially tried it before at the Gateau at Malmö Central Station.

I was positively surprised at how nice and spacious the upstairs seating area was, and the café latte + cinnamon roll I had were absolutely divine! They also have free wifi, which for me is a huge plus. As with most Swedish cafés there unfortunately isn’t any table service, so you get your order at the till and are expected to clean up after yourself. Also, be aware that this is once again a cash-free place!

The club sandwich was in very uninspired and the Chai late lacked punch. The "summer pastry" was ok and the cinnamon bun was pretty good.

Really enjoyed the pastry we had here. The waitress was also very kind and cheerful. Perfect!

Pricey! Croissant that is more “dowey than crunchy”. Dirty spoons & average coffee. More hype than quality.

Loved the amazing Kopenhamnare, Mazarin apple & Coffee. You're mouth will be left watering & hoping you ordered take away. We just had to go back to get more desserts & take them on our road trip. Lovely and friendly staff help us choose the best desserts. Read more at Raif & Vy Travel Blog.
