A nice place for a burger place, close to the beach and not far from several nice cafés. The outdoor sitting area is the main reason I would choose this over any other Surf Shacks. Its nice with shade and lots of space to sit. Lots of plants to make it pleasant and creating some privacy between groups. The food is pretty much the same as in the other Surf Shack diners.

Stopped here for lunch and it was delicious and very filling. The food doesn’t look great, and I could have done with way more fries for the price, but it tasted good. Ordered on the big screens, food was delivered to my table much quicker than estimated. The milkshake was huuuge!

Absolutely amazing burgers! I'm a California native and I felt right at home eating at this place. Great vibe in the restaurant and friendly staff. The shakes are absolutely to die for, I've never had a better shake in my life. The burgers were cooked perfectly and all ingredients tasted fantastic. It gets crowded in the evenings, so I loved how we could order on the self serve kiosk and wait outside for our food before walking to the beach and eating it as we watch the sunset. If you love burgers, eat here. If you're a homesick American, eat here. Since it's Scandinavia, prices can get pretty expensive. We paid $50 for just a couple burgers, shakes, and fries.

I liked Surf Shack. You order your food via an app. And you don't need to interact with the personnel. Win, win! Good food too.

Best cheeseburger ever. Had a double patty. Delicious. Great service, mom got new fish and chips cause it was burnt and extra dip for the wait. Recommended!

Was there with work and we rented the whole place. So having that in mind maybe I shouldn't criticize the service but I need to say that I was served the wrong burger even though our table number and my name was written on the receipt for them to match the right burger with the right guest. All they needed to do was to check the receipt and match table number and guest name. Once I got "my" burger I can't fault it. It wasn't wow but still above par. The sweet potato mix portion of fries was good too and so was the onion rings and the complementary dip.

Mehh… unfortunately the place didn’t meet my expectations at all, however it seemed promising and the terrace had nice vibes. The fries tasted like they were made yesterday, they were oily and not crispy at all. The meat in the burger was super thin, and overcooked. Beside that, the staff was not the friendliest either. There’s room for improvement!

We had two fish burgers and one fish and chips. The burgers were excellent and we have them every time we go to Malmö. The fish and chips were ok, but the fish batter was fried for too long, and it looked a bit burnt.

Very aesthetic place. The personal is very nice and the order got to us quickly.

You order through an app, which is convenient after you have set it up the first time. The food can take quite some time to arrive, but you can also build your own burger with a variety of sauces and flavours. It has gotten a bit expensive lately.

We really like to eat here. It's affordable and really good. We always choose the "Build your own" option with the menu (burger + drink + fries) because you can add all you want. The sweet fries are amazing and if you like garlic, go for the Garlic fries!

Came with my overtired children and the incredibly kind staff brought out the children’s food straight away and didn’t wait for the whole order to be ready. They introduced my son to the art of dipping chips in soft ice! That service really made our day. Plus the food was delicious.

The food is ok, but the app for ordering is buggy and the setup with an automated ordering screen, a self service area for soft drinks and ketchup and everything just gives you the same vibe and feeling as in any fast-food chain including sticky floors and difficulty and choosing options and an ordering system trying to up sell extras to you. They also charge extra for vegetarian patties compared to meat which just doesn't make sense to me and send the wrong signals. In the end, except for the location and slighty more interesting flavor choices in the burgers, I don't see any reason to choose surf shack over a cheaper fast food chain

After waiting for about 1 hour (waiting time was estimated at 35 min) and seeing multiple customers asking for refunds and having about 30 orders ahead of us all going out in snailpace, we also decide to no longer wait and asked for a refund. Even though it wasn't nearly full in the restaurant, the staff was overworked and stressed which in turn generated a lot of angry customers. I actually feel sorry for the staff, there seems to be really poor organisation/ Management at this place. After signing a receipt we finally got told that I will be refunded the full amount. To this day I haven't gotten any of my money back. Weeks later and no answer on any of the contact emails on their homepage. To sum it up; Do not order here unless you want to get robbed of your money.

It was one of my go-to for many years but the quality has gone down considerably, not in this restaurant in particular but the whole chain. What a disappointment. Dry cheese, dry pulled pork, smaller burgers and what not. You definitely lost a regular!

Great burgers and shakes...service level pretty good and staff were friendly when we visited. EDIT: had another visit and it seems there is inconstitency in the kitchen. Latest visit we found the burgers rather bland and missing toppings which we should have informed the staff but it seemed like a busy period and it was difficult to get the staffs attention. Milkshakes still awesome but removing star because of last visit

+ OK burger, except the burger missed ingredients (onion rings) that we had to ask for afterwards - Pommes was like pytt i panna (see picture) - we payed for the food in advance on the app, right after we paid the waitress came out and said they didn't have what we ordered/payed for. So we asked for the money back but she said she couldn't and that we had to order something else for the same price.

By far the worst service I have ever had. Ordered food to be delivered to be told twice that “they were on our way” had to travel there myself to complain to only be told that it was ok “it’s on its way” which I said I was not going to accept as it had been 2 hours and how they expected me to accept that. They finally refunded the money and remade the food with little to no apology. The person on the phone Malin clearly needs to be taught in costumer services. As after the 2nd call they refused to answer the phone. Best advice never order online from here and don’t expect any kind of customer experience.

Delicious burgers and shakes! Even though it was a bit pricey (because we had custom made burgers), the food was tasty and the overall experience was great. We had to order through an app due to some corona rules, but everything was fast and convenient. My custom burger was around 200ish kr.

Loved this place! I got to choose exactly what I wanted on my hamburger and there was a great variety of toppings to choose from. The meat was good. My daughter loved having a big ketchup bottle on the table. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. They were great at interacting with my young kids.

A very delicious burger restaurant for VERY affordable prices! Also: Drink all you want is in the burger price included! Awesome! Will definitely visit again during my stay in Malmö.

Very nice beach diner with cozy outside area. Amazing in the nice weather. The burgers are great and their devil fries are so great! Coffee and chocolate milkshakes are amazing! It’s by far one of the top restaurants in Malmo. The prices are reasonable and there’s some paid parking outside of the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant has self service to order in both Swedish and English. Very pleasant experience from start to finish!

Wednesday lunch, not crowded. I had an honest and tasty burger with blue cheese and onion rings. My companions had chicken nuggets and different kind of burgers. Happy days!

I tried the milkshake this weekend. I took chocolate peanut butter one. The milkshake comes in 0.5L glass. It was tasty and texture very smooth. I think it could be left an option to order half size milkshake because 0.5L it is really a lot. Also, missed some frutier shake options. Service was nice.

Great burger joint. Some days the burgers are better than other days. The milkshakes are great!
