Malton Museum is a fabulous local history resource that is a must see. Housing unique collections relating to the locality including archaeologic finds dating to the Roman occupation and beyond. Well worth discovering.

Small but interesting with friendly reception definitely worth a quick visit if you visit Malton which has an enlightened parking policy for visitors.

A wonderful,informative and clean museum period displays ranging from early Neolithic to the 1950s . Staff are very knowledgeable and polite a well positioned museum in the centre or the town with easy access. Well worth a visit.

The staff at Malton museum are all incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Chrissy really took time to ensure we knew about the current exhibition and kindly answered all our questions. The museum is small, so don’t expect vast rooms, but it’s definitely worth a visit. And, as with all smaller local museums, you get the sense that they could build on the existing collection if they had more funding. The museum has been thoughtfully curated and there were extensive activities for children. This is a museum that really cares about local heritage.

Lovely small museum with a couple of friendly guys on duty. Free entry, with small donation optional. Significant Roman and other finds, along with Malton town history. Well worth a visit.

Wanted to visit but at £5 an adult we just couldn’t afford it.

Brilliant little museum! I've learned loads about Malton, its ancient history, and the local area. Staff are so friendly and helpful too. Can't recommend enough!
