The Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre has floor area covering 4,500 sq. m. consists of two exhibition halls, lobby, dining room, lounge, kitchen and other VIP amenities. It’s one of the best places to have a indoor concert.

There are lot of exhibitions happening in this time to time. Well spaced and air conditioned. These days the book fair is there. Not very crowded this year (sep, 2022) I think the same crowd is there but not stagnated due to the space arrangement. There was a free bus service as well for the books fair which is a great arrangement in this crisis time. Best place for fairs. The space around can also be utilised for the stalls

The construction of the hall was carried out by a joint Sri Lankan and Chinese workforce with a considerable portion of the building materials being imported from China. In 1998 a small Exhibition Centre, the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre, was built on the grounds as a gift from China. The BMICH premises is managed by the S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike National Memorial Foundation (BNMF) which is chaired by the President of Sri Lanka. The BNMF has an academic wing specialised in International Relations, Languages and Cultural Studies named "Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS)" located within the BMICH premises.

Has facilities to host large events. There are not enough security personnel to make sure vehicles are parked without hindering others.

Massive halls plenty of parking space. Well maintained. An ATM machine from a government bank is also in place, making it easy to withdraw funds.
