I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was a slice of paradise - a tranquil, relaxing environment surrounded by incredible nature and wildlife. We stayed in one of the treehouses and enjoyed chilling with a book in the morning on the terrace, watching the birds and monkeys go by. The owners and everyone who works there are all such lovely people and really made the stay feel extra special. Would highly recommend the food too - everything we ate was delicious! Such a unique place and one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka.

Incredibly beautiful place, absolutely everything is beautiful here! The tree houses, the grounds, the people, the food! We want to come back again and again. Very positive impressions, even just dining here you feel like you are part of something.. Highly recommended!

This is our second time in Sri Lanka and this was the most beautiful accommodation we've stayed in. Manuela and Gayan were the most gracious hosts, we felt welcome from the moment we walked in their door. The Eco Lodge and the tree houses were built by themselves with sustainable materials. You can see and feel how much effort and love they put into it. We enjoyed sitting on our veranda and watching all the animals go by (peacocks, monkeys, squirrels, soooo many birds...). Gayan is an amazing and passionate cook, every night he served us delicious Sri Lankan dinner (we didn't try the Italian food, but it's definitely delicious as well). It felt like a home away from home and even though we've only been there a few days, we were sad to leave. We will be back, of course. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely peaceful and stylish house. It is very spacious with terrace and garden, clean, just perfect. Price is more than fair! Many birds and animals. Very close to the Tangalle beach and restaurants, also next to the lagoon. The owners are really kind and helpful, also environmental friendly. They cook both Sri Lankan and Italian. Must visit!

So, even after being back already two months from our gorgeous trip in Sri Lanka, i couldnt forget to write that review that me and my girlfriend wanted to write. They deserve it!: It was amazing!!! The vibe, location, the treehouse itself and on top of that: the food!! Made by the owner itself. Sri Lankan was epic, and even the European influenced dishes were epic. After driving further into our journey THIS was the place that kept being fresh in our memory. So yes, highly recommended on al aspects. But be aware, family monkey will say hi from time to time (love it). Hopefully we can get and keep in contact! Dusty and annelot

This place is something truly special. I’ve rented their tree house for 2 nights during my trip in Sri Lanka and as soon as I stepped in I realized this was going to be the most wonderful experience of my trip. The location is super convenient, right next to the lagoon and 5 min walk to a beautiful beach. The hosts have build the beautiful treehouses, restaurant and guesthouse all by themselves using a traditional clay material and wood. I was so impressed by the talent and passion and love that they have dedicated to every detail that makes their space so special. Sleeping on top of an old beautiful tree in a house made all of natural earthy materials made me feel serene and at peace. And it’s mind blowing to also have a functionally and very pretty bathroom and shower and comfortable bed and space on a treehouse. Each guesthouse has a lot of space and trees around so you’ll feel immersed in nature. On top of that, their food is incredible and hospitality is top notch. If you don’t find availability to stay overnight I still recommend eating at their restaurant and taking a cooking class. Gayan has also built a traditional small catamaran and took us on a sunrise tour on the lagoon, which was an incredible experience. It was only us and local fishermen and plenty of birds and animals, no other tourist has access to such an experience so I strongly recommend also to take advantage of that. Gayan also brought us to see turtles laying eggs at night in the turtle sanctuary close by, and drove us to the most beautiful beach in Tangalle which is a short tuk tuk ride away. Overall me and my friends felt very welcomed and taken care of and had a wonderful time. Gayan and Manu are truly special and warm people and the way they live in community with nature is truly inspiring. I wished I stayed longer.. Thank you Manu and Gayan, I hope to be back soon!

Jaywa Lanka was our first stay in Sri Lanka and we ended up coming back and stayed for 10 days. It is a true oasis. Peaceful surrounded by forest and with walking distance to the beach and small cozy beach town where you can find good restaurants. The owners are so friendly and we felt like family. The food is great and the villa we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable bed. Will be back. Thank you Manu and Gayal🙏

We chose this place because my son wanted to spend the night in a tree house. we stayed for two nights. The hostess was not friendly. She forbade us to park our car. Even though it's a big area. She said it was not safe for children. however, there are dogs on the property that pose a threat to children. One growled at my child in front of the owners. They completely ignored it. These dogs howl all two nights. We didn't sleep. After the first night, the husband wanted to move to another place because of the unfriendly attitude of the hostess and because ants crawled from the tree all night. Next door there are hotels on the first line with a swimming pool much cheaper than not the most comfortable tree house. But I told you not to let them down. Because we booked two nights. When we moved out, I decided not to write anything negative. Left a good review with 4 stars and attached a good video. However, I was very surprised that the hostess answered me negatively. She wrote that we left the room dirty and broken. It is not true. We didn't break anything and cleaned up after ourselves. If cleaning of the room after the guests is not provided, it is necessary to warn about this in advance. I have this for the first time. Clean up after clients this is normal in all hotels. sorry, I didn’t have a broom and a mop with me. no hospitality. No respect for the customer and a lot of negativity. After her negative review, I decided to also change mine to the truthful one! Well, we wanted to book without airbnb just to save money and not pay extra airbn commission. I found a place not through this service. So much unpleasantness and so many accusations to the client. You need to learn how to treat your client the right way. I do not recommend this place.
