STAY AWAY FROM HOUSE OF FASHIONS, the house of cheap fashions. My wife was planning to travel abroad in a few days and we went to House of Fashions Borella to buy a travelling bag. We bought two travelling bags from them. I thought it would be a quality product since House of Fashions is a reputed company and the bags cost me Rs.17500 each. Unfortunately, the next day when she was going to pack, we realised that the handle is not working on one bag. I took the bag back to House of Fashion within the same week. The manager said that they needed to inspect it. Seeing me waiting in the lobby they asked me to go and walk around their shop while waiting. After almost one hour I came back, still the bag was not ready. They asked me to wait again. After a while the manager came and told me that they can't fix it and that a refund or a replacement is out of the question. I do understand it's my responsibility to check the item before buying and that some items are nonrefundable. Even if the bag was working at the point of sale, it was broken within the next two days without even being used. I'm posting this to save another person from their low quality goods. House of fashions is selling poor quality, cheap items at high price tags. Don't be fooled by their appearance. I think the temporary stalls on pavement has better decency in such cases. There should be some process for such situations. Their simple response was “this can’t be, this never happened before”. Disgusting customer service and totally appalled by their lack of empathy. It is spacious but as for the appearance of the building and the space the collections are not much attractive or organized. Go to go place to buy jerseys cardigans winter coats and etc. Prices are reasonable. However better check the garments before you buy as some rejected collections of brands are there. However they can improve the organization and the collections more. Parking is available.

House of Fashions is a Colombo institution. The department store is popular with locals and expats. Locals like it because it carries good quality items at reasonable prices. Expats favor it because it carries larger sizes.

A massive clothing store that has earned its popularity across the country over the years. It's prominence does not lie only within locals, but also amongst foreigners. They have a wide variety of items ranging from unisex clothing for all age groups, toys, beauty care products and household items. Most of them are priced at reasonable rates. Staff is friendly, attentive and offers a helpful service. They seems to be continuously improving their service levels and I've seen a significant improvement over time. Ample parking space available inside the huge underground vehicle park within the premises.

HOFSL has 02 branches in Colombo, apparently they run their own show. If you want to exchange of a purchase you should go to the same outlet even though they have the same item in their other outlet they wont allow the exchange no matter what the situation is. Unfortunately they never thought of mentioning that in their exchange policy and display at the counters (Refer the picture) They need to improve the service standards and need to learn their customers are precious.

The House of Fashion store has some good things going for it. For one, they have a great collection of winter clothes and traveling bags, which makes shopping for the colder months of the year a breeze. However, aside from these items, the fashion collection is fairly limited and doesn't quite live up to expectations. One of the most notable drawbacks of this store is its limited support staff. The staff were not particularly cooperative and didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about the products they were selling. This made the shopping experience less enjoyable and left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth. In addition to the lack of support from staff, the fitting rooms were also very limited in number, which led to long queues and extended waiting times. This was a major inconvenience and made shopping for clothes tiring and frustrating. Overall, while there are some positive aspects to the House of Fashion store, such as their collection of winter clothes and traveling bags, the limited fashion collection, lack of support staff, and inadequate fitting rooms made the shopping experience less than ideal.

A department store with a range of items. I specially admire the availability of winter jackets, sweaters and clothes for both gents and ladies. Level 2 is for ladies and had a good collection. I can say it was same with the gents section on level 3 as well. These are not expensive and I think the prices are pretty fair considering the present situation of the country. Many branded items were up for sale at lower prices so definitely you should give a visit. Credit card discounted rates are available in the festive season as well.

This house of fashions might just be the nicest house of fashion in Sri Lanka. It’s a clean well-kept and well stocked shopping mall of a store with multiple floors of merchandise sold at reasonable prices with reasonably high-quality. It’s not the highest quality merchandise In Sri Lanka but the price, stock availability and Guarantee of having a good shopping experience justifies making a stop at this location. It’s a good shopping choice if you’re looking for clothing for men women and children cosmetics toys household decor pots pans decorations or linens. They kind of have everything except for food here. There’s great parking available for free and the food court in the basement ensures a great lunch or tea and a good shopping experience. It’s a lot like other house of fashion around the western provinces but I do like this one the best.

This is a great place that you can purchase huge range of beautiful clothes for reasonable prices. Specially if your looking for larger size, new designs it's better to visit this place. Also if you're having food cravings during shopping you can visit their food court at the basement. This days they offer lots of discounts so it's good time for go shopping.

I went their to buy a table clothe. They do have almost all kinds of household items, Mens and women clothes, sarees and etc. There was sales cordinator named Pradeep and he helped us alot. His service was outstanding. Highly recomended.

House of fashions, It is located in D. S. Senanayake Mw, close to borella cemetery. The place is spacious. There are ladies, mens, kids clothes to household items, decorative items. Bit expensive. There is a food court and washroom facilities. Good parking spaces are available. Comparing with the last year I couldn't find any suitable dresses to my liking. But do have a wide variety of dresses and I came across some shorts for low prices during the festive season. You might wanna check.

The place was located at Borella. The huge shopping complex in that area. Floors have been reserved by gender. Any kind of clothes, kitchen accessories, electric items, perfumes, make up accessories, stationaries, bags, fantasy gifts and Historical statues ( better for tourists) can buy from this. When compare other shop’s price , this place is actually cheap. You can use elevators as well as escalator to go up and down floors. This architectural design also amazing. It looks like a palas .

There's a wide variety of clothes and household goods here, basically a one-stop shop with decent prices. However, I noticed a reduction in the variety. They used to have a wide variety of gift bags and gift wrap. Now, it's virtually nonexistent. At the ladies fitting room at the far end, there is a notice to say only 3 items at a time are allowed to be taken in. However, the sales assistant there was not enforcing this rule. There were people taking bags of clothes in and as there are only 3 fitting rooms, it takes forever for the rest of the lineup to get in. When I asked the assistant about the rule, she simply said that the customer has only 3 items with her at a time and the rest she takes out of the bag or someone hands it over to her !!!

Biggest single store shopping mall in Colombo. One of the must visit malls for tourists to get clothes at reasonable price. Winter collection is superb if you need to go abroad and in need of those. Good collections available for all ages and genders.

Just I finished shopping at the house of fashion. One sales staff member, no extender their support us. Not only us, anyone at that time never got sales support. Very lethargic staff. Tribble service. Never ever recommend this place for customers.

House of Fashions is a well-known department store in Colombo. It used to be only in Colombo 4, and expanded to Borella/ Colombo 8. House of Fashions is well known for their less expensive options in clothing, accessories and others. The Borella store spans over six floors where they offer various options for clothing, shoes, beauty culture products, bags and wallets, winter clothing, stationery and so much more. It's spacious and unlike in the first outlet, this one has fit-on facilities as well.

HOF also a one of my PIN place to visit when ever I feel like to some random shopping.... Worth for price... Not all your need and taste can be met there... But worth for much needed items... Love it

Sells bad quality goods during sales. Be Careful. Recently bought a kids bicycle and the tyre just split after one day. Must have been lying in the warehouse for years.

HoF has tons of items, including clothes for each ages, toys, perfumes, and other consumables. Prices are also reasonable. However, it was hard to find the best match during the visit.
