👍👍 We went their to celebrate our 28th wedding Anniversary. It was our 1st visit..but certainly won't be our last! That was simply the best Italian food I have ever gotten at a restaurant ( and I'm married to an Italian!)!!! The place is beautiful, they had a very talented piano player and the service... We went their to celebrate our 28th wedding Anniversary. It was our 1st visit..but certainly won't be our last! That was simply the best Italian food I have ever gotten at a restaurant ( and I'm married to an Italian!)!!! The place is beautiful, they had a very talented piano player and the service was amazing! We had the calamari to start - amazing! Then I had the "Linguine Vongle " (clams over pasta in a garlic white sauce)....I wanted to turn up the plate and drink the sauce...lol. My wife ordered the "Lasagna Bolognese"....we shared and I can testify to it being second only to her homemade lasagna!! To just wrap a bow on the evening: my wife told our waiter we were there for our Anniversary and he brought us a slice of this FANTASTIC lemon cake! Basically: if you want ridiculously good Italian food and outstanding service - THIS IS THE PLACE!! We loved it so much, we returned with friends. Once again everything was just perfect: the food, the ambience, the service...not changing my review a bit, except to say we tried a few different dishes and was happy to enjoy another amazing dinner experience, with not one person leaving disappointed. I can't recommend this place enough!

So glad we found this restaurant after visiting this area the past couple of years for our daughter’s rowing events at Nathan Benderson Park. If you are visiting this area for a rowing event, or on vacation, or a local, you MUST come to Pascone’s!!!! We will be eating here EVERY time we come to the area. My husband and I were very impressed with the sophisticated vibe and decor. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable - nice to see they take pride in providing great service. The bartender (young lady) made us the best cocktails at the bar before our dinner. Without exaggeration, the appetizer, entrees and dessert ordered were outstanding! The portions are generous, and flavors are on point. We had the calamari, snapper Francaise, chicken Sorrentino, and for dessert the Meyer lemon cake. The owner (very classy lady) came around a few times checking to make sure everything was to our liking and our water glasses topped. The gentleman playing the keyboard had an impressive repertoire and played nonstop the entire time we were there. He brought a lovely musical atmosphere that provided enough pleasant background music without being loud. He is very talented indeed. The food is clearly the main draw, and everything else just contributes to its overall excellence. Wish we had a restaurant like this where we live. Cannot wait to visit Pascone’s on our next visit to the area (next week!). Kudos to the chef!

Food was fancy and high quality. We enjoyed eating here. It is pricey and the waiter was busy (probs not his fault). Overall we liked it. Dessert is Devine.

Every dish from appetizers to entree was unbelievably delicious! I was very impressed. Perfect atmosphere too with live piano player. Even played along to happy birthday when we sang for my brother ☺️ Will definitely be returning!

Terrible service. We waited for almost two hours to sit outside. The owner was rude and nasty. Then the food was the worst Italian we ever had. Don’t waste your money here. Maybe they should go back to Maine, instead of ripping customers off here in Florida. I am starting a FB group for anyone that had a bad experience at Pascones restaurant. , so you can voice your opinion without the owner comments. Update to the group soon. Prices are too high and food, service stinks.

We have been going to Pascones on University for years, before we even had children and after with just our son. We have always had the best service. This time was a different story. It seemed like our server was less than enthused to be serving a family of 4 with 2 young children, who barely made a peep. We had to get napkins from the neighboring table. Had to request things multiple times. Was told the chef refused to add mushrooms to the scampi even though I usually get that dish. Had to request bread when our meals came out while every table that was occupied got bread the minute they sat down. Our 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter had glasses of ice water. We asked another person for straws at least because we didn’t want to bother the waiter again. The person then told us they had kid cups. And brought us 2 stacked kid cups. Our daughter then received the wrong meal. After we had already been waiting quite a while for our food, we had to wait even longer. We finally asked for a manager. That took a while, we had given up at that point and just wanted to leave. She finally came over, Judi the owner I believe. After we gave her our grievances, her response was, “Yes you have been coming here. I’m so sorry. Most people usually have a great experience.” She was fairly nice. But no attempt was made to even rectify the entire experience. I would have just left our food, but at that point we ended up having to pay for our entire meal so we just took most of our food to go in boxes, didn’t even get a bag. Maybe Pascones just isn’t family friendly? Very disappointing visit.

I should have known to turn around and leave when I saw the place was empty for happy hour. Happy Hour menu sucks and the drink prices are that of a high end restaurant! One tall Bacardi and coke was $10 and it was a weak pour. I get TWO tall ones at Duffy’s for $9.25. It was a complete ripoff. The food is just mediocre. The pizza was dripping with oil, so much so that when I picked it up all of the toppings slid off. It was the worst Margherita pizza ever. The owner should be ashamed charging those prices for happy hour just because we are in a pandemic. Now I know why the place was empty. Better service, better food, and much better prices at many other places. I will never return.

My husband and I were interested in trying since we drive by so often. We had calamari, which was just ok. Caesar salad. Spaghetti and meatballs. Wasn't the best tasting sauce. The pizza was the worst I've ever had. Only highlight was the waiter. He was awesome!

Service was good, but the foods were terrible. Salmon was overcooked, looked like a fast food. Pricy, not worth it. Very disappointed!

Wonderful restaurant with a delicious menu, strong drinks, and impeccable service. Strongly suggest having some limoncello which is made in house and had a bit of a kick to it. Also, you must try the Lasagna! Excellent portion size, covered in cheese and sauce, with a dollop of ricotta for posterity. Enjoyed the piano as well, added a nice touch to the atmosphere.

Food was expensive and disgusting. Overpriced and undersized dishes. Nothing Italian here but the name. Service is deplorable. It’s amazing how inexperienced staff and management are. The cooks are Mexican immigrants, just take a look in the kitchen . Good Luck here. The owner Judi is condescending and ill tempered. Never an apology to our experience. If I could give zero stars I would.CHECK OUT all the replies from management, it is all rude to anyone who gives them bad feedback, just like they will reply to this.

Being from the NYC area, I am VERY picky about Italian food. This place blew me away. It rivals the restaurants of Little Italy - it is that good! Their mussels are not to be missed, and the service was outstanding. We arrived a half hour before closing, but still received personal attention from the manager, who recommended an outstanding wine, and our waiter. True professionals. I wish they had another location closer to where I live!

The food was really good and the service was really good. One of the staff, Marcus, was so entertaining and amazing I will always ask for him. He has spiky white hair. The price was reasonable for the quality and me and the wife and I, together with the tip, was about 50$. I will definitely be going back when I have a special occasion.

We adore Pascone's Ristorante! We are welcomed warmly by Judith, seated promptly and served impeccably by our favorite waiter, Karem. The ambiance is comfortable and elegant. Authentic Italian food, excellent wait staff, fine wine list, gifted pianist, talented bartender and someone special to share this wonderful time with makes dining at Pascone's memorable!

My husband and I ordered take out and so happy we found this place! He had the rigatoni vodka and I had the orchetti. Both were DELICIOUS! Garlic bread was awesome. We are here often from Chicago and this is our new favorite restaurant. Will definitely be back

Arrived around 5:45pm without a reservation, restaurant dinning room only 50% filled, but we could only eat at the bar not at a table because they only had 1 chef that evening. But the chef still had to prepare our meal anyway. So why? Meal was good, and when we left the restaurant it was still only 50% full. Note: pricing per person below includes drinks and wine. We will return, but with reservations next time.

Always a great meal with something for everyone plus good service and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. All dishes from apps to dessert are well above average to excellent. Probably because it's not part of a chain or group but an owner operated establishment. Owner is almost always there paying attention to detail with a smile. Sometimes a bit noisy so that is why only 4 stars for atmosphere but the piano player during dinner is a nice touch. I couldn't give partial stars or atmosphere would have been 4.5⭐

We recently moved to Sarasota from northern NJ, so of course our standards for Italian food are high. Pascone's was a good find and they are the best Italian restaurant we've eaten at so far. We have had many of the dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. The servers are pleasant, polite, knowledgeable, and on point. If you want a great Italian meal in Sarasota, I highly recommend Pascone's.

Pascone’s is definitely a find. Our first visit tonight but won’t be our last. Everything was excellent - from the atmosphere, which is classy, to the service from our waiter Aaron, through the delicious food - the best fresh mozzarella and basil on the caprese salad, roasted free range chicken for me and snapper for hubby - finished up with a decadent chocolate cake, Amaretto and coffee. All this was accompanied by an excellent piano player which added to the pleasant atmosphere. My only small complaint was the tables were rather close and we were seated at the exact same time as the couple next to us, so I found their conversation a bit distracting. I think this could be an easy fix since there were empty seats in other areas that could have allowed for separation and more privacy when seating tables as the same time.

We were in to celebrate our anniversary. Our sever was outstanding! I had the Grilled Bronzini, Fennel, Basil, Ginger, & Lime Marinated, oven Blistered tomatoes, Fennel & Artichokes. It was cooked to perfection was was so flavorful! My wife had the Rigatoni Scarpariello with chicken breast, red pepper flakes, fresh rosemary, garlic lemon butter sauce and Bocconcini Mozzarella. Love this place! It has everything. Great waiters, food and ambiance. We enjoy listening to the pianist that plays certain nights. Its also a treat to sit at the bar and order "Bar Bites" before the crowds come in. Absolutely love the shrimp scampi! The inside decor is stunning and with the subdued lighting, we feel relaxed and can enjoy a lovely meal here.
