A great place to fish with a nice variety of fish to catch. No license needed, live bait and snacks. Shaded eating area and you can park right where your fishing. Rarely rains. All for a small fee. This is the south side of the pier.

Good place to fish. Def some big sharks and lots of small toothy critters. Hooked into something big but couldn't control it and bit through my steel leader line. Pro tip.. Make sure to have a gaf hook and a good long net because it's nearly impossible to 'land' a fish 🐠 without it having to hoist the fish vertically up. Unless you walk through the entire bridge towards the beginning of the bridge and good luck doing that with any decent size fish on the line

I like this place to fish, except they need more umbrellas for the fishermen. The price is fair. The opportunity for catching something for dinner may not be 100%, but 99% is pretty good even more a stormy day. Even if you want to just take your kid out for some action, I'd recommend this place. Just keep close watch as so they dont fall over the ledge, and you may even get a chance at seeing a dolphin or two. I seen six on this day, i tried to add the video to the review but was unable. Nonetheless i give them a 8/10.

Beautiful, we have seen dolphins, fish all types of birds. People fishing, you can see the Skyway from the pier. It was a very enjoyable, quiet time.

Absolutely beautiful!! Drive right on the pier and park in the exact same spot that you want to fish from. Extremely safe even throughout the overnight, I would even come alone and feel absolutely fine and at ease!! Great place for kids, family, fisherman and all!! Bait store right on the pier about halfway down with great prices. A food truck is also on the pier with great grouper tacos and lots more! There are bathrooms about every quarter of the way down the bridge, so no matter what you will near one. At night the entire pier is lit up so need for any sort of flashlight. Most beautiful view of the water and the Skyline Bridge. At night enjoy a light show of the Skyline Bridge which is just breathtaking. Hands down the best place to fish. I wish I lived closer and not so far away because I would go no other place!!

Went to the pier for the first time, it's alot of fun for the family. It's very clean, everybody we came across was very nice. It has several restrooms, so you never have to walk far. The bait house has good prices and was well stocked. I recommend this pier for family fun or if you just need some R & R. I had a great time watching all the wildlife and sea life. We seen several dolphins, four sting rays, a small shark.

Such a nice place to pull over off the Skyway Bridge and enjoy the view. From fishing, Kite surfing to just hanging a hammock to relax.

Fun but didn't catch anything besides baby fish. Live bait was given with the rental of a pole. Less than $25 to rent. $4 to get onto the bridge. It was a really windy day.

My husband brought me here for a nice evening of fishing. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Live bait is sold here, vending machines are available, and many public bathrooms to choose from. We parked right across from where we set up our chairs to fish. It was beautiful to be right on the water, watching the sunset. Fish were biting almost as soon as the line hit the water! If you love to fish and haven't tried this out, grab your rod and do it right away! I will be back again.

Great Fishing! It’s been a while since I’ve been, but they have raised their prices since the last time I was here. It used to be β€œX amount of money per car” now the price is per person.

So much fun to walk the pier and talk to the fisherman. Thought that the fee was excessive for local Florida State Park member cardholders and fisherman but they said it was privately managed. No walk-ons so it’s a bit of a tourist racket. But if you have dollars to spare check it out.

Great place to fish. $4 per car plus $4 per passenger for entry pass that can be used for 24 hrs in both north and south fishing piers. Nice bait shop and clean enough restrooms. I haven't gone fishing for years and was surprised by the number of families fishing at 2:00 am. *Fishing license not needed.

This is one of the most beautiful places to watch the sun setting. Outside the south pier there is a long street where you can park the car and watch the sunset for free

I've fished here for the last 15 years. The place is good fishing, once you figure out what baits, and techniques to use. Now the bad, the south side of the pier bait shop, is run down out of mostly everything, and very dirty. It was expensive and poorly stocked. The bathrooms were filthy.

Decent fishing area. Since I couldn’t find it, they do rent poles for $10 per day. Various baits are for sale as well for reasonable prices. Live shrimp was $5.50 per dozen.

Great atmosphere, the sunsets and the family time are priceless! If you want to catch great seafood just go here! The shop in house makes it easy for you to purchase anything that you might have forgotten and the entrance is just a little pricey per vehicle and per person.

Meh. Fishing used to be amazing here. After red-tide hit 2023, fishing has been scarce in most of the gulf regarding shore and pier fishing. Bait fish is about all that is caught here since the 2023 red-tide. Beautiful view, wonderful photos, though.

Everything is okay except the presence of the highway patrol. I should say the wild life game warden. The fake state police! Do not let these morons anywhere near your personal property they are looking to create trouble for anyone in any way that they can. They are fraudulent over paid lovers who abuse the power given to them. They shouldn't exist period. Anyways they show up around the skyway constantly giving people a hard time and with a cocky attitude. Avoid the noids

Such a great place to fish! They have bait shops and several restrooms on both the north and the south piers, with everything you will need (including snacks and drinks.) They are open 24 hours. Re-entry permitted, in case you want to check out both piers.

  • 5/5 Richard M. 2 years ago on Google
The bridge toll was $1.50 which also gives you access to piers, beaches, and parks along the causeway. These areas were not crowded and much easier to access than a standard beach.

This is a great spot to try to catch some fish, however I have not caught anything good. But still a great spot just for fun. However, it can get a little expensive if you have a group of people. They charge for a car plus per person. I believe it's about $4 for a car and something similar for per person as well. But the good thing is that you don't need to have a Florida fishing license to fish here.

Great place to do a bit of fishing. You're able to catch a variety of fish... also, a few dolphins do swim around.

Great fishing spot open 24hrs they have their own bait shop you do have to pay to enter but it is good for 24 hrs and you can leave and return within those 24 hrs without additional cost a real hidden gem for fishing spots

It was our 1st time & It was a amazing & beautiful day at the bridge. Lady at the bait shop was super polite, attentive & super sweet. And we caught a few nice fishes like pin fish & mangrove snapper. And there's restrooms as well. But a great day overall and full of sunshine. Next time will be for evening/night fishing. A great time me & my hubby had :) 🎣 🐠🐟

This is a good place for fishing but it's a place you need to go to multiple times in order to figure out how to fish here successfully. Beautiful sunsets here as well. I've encountered very few jerks in my times here. Most folks are easy to get along with. Alcohol is prohibited.

Ir was long, but fun day of fishing. It would have been even better if the dolphins wouldn't have kept stealing the bait. 🀣🀣🐬

Wonderful place to fish. Scenic place ,sun set watch while fishing . 24 hours open for fishing. Biat shop and restrooms located inside the pier . Park your vehicle next to your fishing. South Pier is longer than North Pier. Pier pass is valid for 24 hours and can be used both piers on any number of times in and out . Saw more family and friends fishing together... Love this place more than any other fishing piers.
