Starving so my teen and I decided to give this restaraunt a visit. It was actually a lot larger inside then I thought it would be. Tons of indoor seating. Similar Chipotle/Moes style menu...build your burrito, quesadilla, salad etc. We were given tons of food and the prices were better then the above 2 similar restaraunts. Fresh herbs and vegetables were used giving the food a nice flavor. Recommend giving them a try.

Very good and flavorful food. Nachos were thin and crisp. Cheese dip was mild and creamy. They serve Coke, so good for them. Cool idea to have a hand washing station outside the bathrooms for people who only need to wash.

Delicious local place! We used to go to chipotle all the time then when we moved to the area we discovered Simple and it did not disappoint! My husband loves that they have the Mexican rice, and I really enjoy the quinoa. I do wish they just offered brown rice (or regular quinoa, not the tri-color) though. That’s my only “complaint”! We really enjoy the salsas, jalapeño, and limes they offer as well. We tried the steak and chicken and both were delicious! Their mixed veggies are also delicious.

Wife and I stopped while out running errands. Two gentlemen behind the counter were nice and helpful, since it was our first time. Wife had chicken nachos and I had the 2 tacos with beans and rice, except I substitute more beans for the rice. Nachos were lite and not grease. Chicken had good flavor. Will definitely stop in again.

Update: I was very excited to find a good Mexican place that actually has good food, but went in again today and the attitudes of all the employees were so disgusting and rude that I probably won't be back, and will discourage all my friends in going too. All of the employees working front counter and serving food need to work on simple manners (10/20/2022). Simple manners, Simple mexican. That's it. FINALLY, FOUND THE BEST MEXICAN IN FLORIDA!!! FINALLY! The Mexican rice and refried beans are exactly how we like it! This place is the best! We will be back on a reg now.

I got my food delivered so I can't really comment on the service or the atmosphere, but the food tasted fresh and delicious! I did order the queso and chips, though, and the queso wasn't even filled to the half-way mark and the chips were stale. The main dish was great, though, and what queso I did get tasted good!

Simple is a great change of pace from other similar restaurants! Much better than chipotle - their food is seasoned well, priced right, and their workers are friendly. Stopped in for the first time this week, will certainly make a point to be back!

Hey all! If you like Chipotle’s concept, but realize how terrible the one in Parrish is- consider Simple Mexican! Someone suggested it recently, so we tried tonight. Excellent service. Wonderful experience and the food was GREAT! I will never go back to Chipotle. Simple Mexican is a similar concept but MUCH fresher food. 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Thanks for a great experience. We will be back! Food was great, but staff do not keep displays clean between customers. There is food all over the counter, getting into other items and on the outside of the foil wrapping. Also, if someone can’t roll a burrito, they should change station assignments, my food is a mess.

Very disappointed after hearing good reviews from others. The food was disgusting. It tasted like they didn't clean all the dishwater out of the dishes before preparing the next batch of food in them. Neither my wife or I made it past the 2nd bite of our burritos. My nephew said the cheese in his plain cheese quesadilla tasted sour and gross. Even the sweet tea and their horchata was bad, 1 drink of each and threw them out because they had that dishwater taste to it. Should have demanded my money back, but it was so bad I just needed to get out of there. Will never return.

I have been to Simple Mexican several times. Most of the food is quality such as the burritos and more. However, I definitely would not not order a salad. Twice now I made this mistake there. Today, I thought surely they are not still doing the same thing as before. I was wrong! The problem the first time was a half inch of water at the bottom of the bowl. The first time it happened I said something to a young man about the watered down salad. He did not care, obviously. Today, I thought surely months later someone noticed the water. Wrong! Same problem. A soggy salad with 1/2 of water at the bottom of the bowl. Romaine should be crisp not soggy. I am guessing those who worked there don’t eat their own salads or they would know. It’s soggy. I eat a lot of salads a various places. Never had this problem. What I saw is their lettuce is in a pan with water to keep fresh longer. So when they serve they not only scoop up the water but in addition the water drains off to the bottom of the bowl. My other experience was a gentleman raised his voice rudely, “Get your hands off the glass. You cannot put your hands on the glass.” He was right. However, he did not have to be rude about it especially to an adult. I think this might b the problem is there is no oversight of what quality is being put out. I can look past the disrespect but I won’t buy another salad there at least if it contains lettuce.

Really great food and service. Easily a step above Chipotle, Moe’s, Tijuana, and chains like that. Love that they have nachos as an option, and also great meat selection. Pork and Barbacoa were super tasty. Would recommend!

We love the Simple Mexican Grill. The food has always fresh, hot & delicious. We noticed they changed the ordering system. I always liked watching them build it. My only request is the restaurant walls & moldings need a FRESH COAT of PAINT. The floor could be steamed as well. It's all part of keeping the place look good.

Went here the other day on lunch break. I had been telling my boyfriend that we should go here, well he finally did. We ordered nachos and it was the GREASTEST!! I was so mad at him because I told him it was gonna be good. I could have been eating there the whole month I've been here. Now we're leaving and Im sad, cause we have nothing like this back home. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I'll be back before I leave!!

My original review: Everything I tried was excellent and tastes authentic. Queso is better than Moe’s. All around yessss Update: As I’m sitting here eating I watch an employee push trash down in the trash can with her bare hands and then go back to serving food without washing her hands. I’m pregnant and if I get sick and need medical attention they’re going to have more problems. Nasty children working here.

Excellent food! They were very generous with their portions and I couldn’t eat all of it which is rear for me. Definitely would recommend 100%

Ok so the people working here were good. The food not so much. Meat had no flavor, rice was bland and honestly nothing good about anything we ordered. My wife had a salad and that was even really bad. I would avoid this place.

The food here is far better than Chipotle. We haven't eaten at Chipotle in a few years, decided to give it a try since they moved into Ellenton and we had a gift card. In the middle of our meal my daughter and I said this is not all that great, Símple is better! I didn't give ya'll a five star only because every time we go there, there isn't any consistency with the portions that are served. One time I was given very little of the veggies and when I asked if I could have a little more I was told that I would have to be charged if I wanted more. I have no problem paying for more if i had wanted extra but when one staff member gives me a very small amount then another gives me what I think is a regular amount, I don't think anyone should be charged. Normally the portions are decent. The other day I was there and the same thing happened again but with the rice. After going down the to pay I noticed how small the portions in the bowl looked so asked to purchase a side of rice. We eat here frequently and love the food. Just my opinion but I think if someone is paying $19.00 ( I got the combo and the extra side of rice) for one meal, I think the portions should be some what more consistent. Other than that I think ya'll are doing great!

This place is close to home and have gone a few times. I haven't had any issues with anything I have ever gotten. Food is fresh, put together right in front of you and it is a decent place to sit and enjoy. Outside tables for great spring/fall weather. Prices are about the same as your chain stores but this place is mor elike home.
