Update after 4 months: The procedure was effective in greatly reducing the veins, about 80% gone now. Some areas are still slightly hard and lumpy but they seem to be slowly disappearing over time. I'm happy with the results and feel it was a worthwhile thing to do. I did get some bad pain in the thighs for a few weeks after, but found taking Ibuprofen pain killers almost completely stops that pain. If you're thinking about getting this done, I'd totally recommend it. But as the doctor will tell you, it takes a few months to see the results. Initial review: Dr Ananth Krishnan and his nice assistant Helen did a fantastic job, both during the initial consultation and the procedure. They acted professionally but were also relaxed, friendly and down to earth people. The clinic is clean and pleasant in general and the receptionist also very friendly. The only suggestion I can think for improvement would be to have a TV in the room so you could watch something to keep your mind off the few uncomfortable moments of the procedure. However I actually found it quite interesting to watch what he was doing. The only uncomfortable parts were the injections, but really nothing to worry about. The prices are clearly given on the website and well below other clinics, so that's another good point. I can't comment on how effective the treatment was because it takes a few weeks to take full effect, but I can already feel an improvement just a few hours afterwards. I recently underwent treatment in my right leg (for varicose veins) at the Vein Centre in Manchester and have been very pleased with the results. The treatment has really reduced the appearance of the varicose veins which was something I had grown increasingly self conscious about. The treatment delivered by Dr Previn Diwakar & Julie Woof was first class. I was made to feel at ease throughout each visit. The treatment itself was only mildly uncomfortable at times (but bearable) and in terms of the weeks that followed the treatment, that too was absolutely fine. I didn't feel the need to take any painkillers whatsoever and my leg has already healed up very well, just six weeks later, with no signs of staining or anything like that. I'll add some photos later once my leg has full healed.

I would like to thank Dr Krishnan & Helen for the amazing work they have done to both of my legs! I had very noticeable thick varicose veins on both of my legs! The veins have gone! The procedure was pain free and I was there for such a short time. The only regret I have is not having this done sooner!! I highly recommend Dr Krishnan as he was extremely approachable and very knowledgable.

I wasn't happy with the treatment the surgeon didn't apply enough anesthetic therefore when he started the laser the pain was excruciating. He spent time chatting with his assistant or trying to find out my business not paying attention to the procedure, there was blood everywhere and he left the building before me less than an hour's work.Very disappointed as the treatment cost a lot of money and the veins have not gone completely. Haven't been back due to this bad experience

I can’t share high enough praise for Veincentre, Dr Previn Diwakar and the whole team. From my initial consultation everything was handled promptly, professionally and with a warm, welcoming human touch to what normally can be normally a very cold, clinical experience. At my initial consultation I met Dr Diwakar and his assistant, who welcomed me and performed the necessary diagnostic tests whilst all the time being professional but with a casual conversational manner that very much made me feel relaxed about the consultation. I had very visible and significant varicose veins which looked horrendous. However, my main motivation for treatment was the vein was making my ankle swell if I walked more than 10 minutes and would cause me significance pain when trying to play any sport. Dr Diwakar then talked me through the recommended treatment process clearly and concisely that left me feeling confident that this was the curse of treatment and that I could place my faith in Dr Diwakar, his assistants and veincentre. The treatment itself was organised promptly for a few weeks time. I arrived for my treatment again with the same welcoming and professional manner. The treatment itself (which included a foam sclerotherapy and avulsions) was an absolute breeze. Absolutely zero pain from the procedure itself, I only felt minor discomfort from the administration of the anaesthesia. Dr Diwakar and the team were always checking to make sure I was comfortable and were very attentive to any needs I had. Once the procedure was over, I was throughly looked after and Dr Diwakar talked me through the recovery process. I returned for my post procedure check up after 8 weeks and the procedure has been a roaring success. Aesthetically my leg looks brand new, with zero evidence that a varicose vein ever existed (and mine were severe and significant). From a fitness perspective my leg feels like they’ve fitted a bionic one! My porting performance has increased 10 fold. It ended up being a very short appointment with no further treatment needed. Overall I can’t praise Veincentre in particular Dr Diwakar and his assistants enough. They were excellent in every measure, and were thoroughly pleasant people to talk to. My only regret is not having a reason to go back and have a chat, throughly pleasant and professional people who I hold with the highest regard.

I’ve just completed my follow up appointment after varicose vein treatments with Dr Diwakar and nurse Julie. I can already see a huge difference in the appearance of my legs, the whole process was well explained, minimal pain and discomfort both during and after treatments. I’m so glad I went ahead with the treatment and would highly recommend to anyone wanting the same procedure. Thank you to Dr Diwakar and the team for helping me to love my legs again !

Dr Previn Diwakar and nurse Julie treated my varicose veins and failed perforator vein. I had EVLA and foam scleropathy. They made me feel very relaxed for the procedures and I was pleased again at the follow up when the procedure had worked well. The follow up treatment of micro scleropathy was done on the spider/thread veins to erase the rest of the visible veins. It's a quick procedure, then back to whatever you usually do ! 😊 I would recommend the clinic and team highly.

I had the initial consultation followed by EVLA and a few sessions of foam sclerotherapy. The EVLA procedure wasn't too bad and I would describe it as mildly uncomfortable at worst. My veins improved 70% after the first round of treatment. I have had another few sessions of foam and my veins are improving even more (85%) and have been told they will disappear completely within a few months. I am happy with the treatment, Dr Krishnan (and nurses) are excellent and make you feel very comfortable through out the process.

The Veincentre were excellent from start to finish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the consultation and treatment with Dr Ananth Krishnan and Nurse Helen, both were very friendly and professional and made me feel at ease from the beginning. It was recommended to have one leg treated with EVLA and foam sclerotherapy. The procedure is not too uncomfortable. My veins improved 90% after the first round of treatment. I had a follow up with some sclerotherapy to treat some of the smaller veins. Overall I am very happy with the treatment, the clinic are excellent and I would highly recommend them. Thank you

After feeling self conscious about my varicose veins for most of my 20s I contacted the vein centre to get rid of my varicose veins. The website was easy to answer a lot of questions I had prior to my first appointment. Making the appointment and subsequent survey was easy and minus some discomfort during the procedure and heavy legs for a few days after, I haven’t had any issues and my varicose veins already look 100 times better. The staff team were really friendly and even gave me a badge for being brave at the vein centre! I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of getting their varicose veins removed. It was just a couple of afternoonst off work with time to go for lunch after!

I have been very conscious about the veins in my legs for a few years now. I had treatment here by Doctor Previn Diwakar in July 2022. He was extremely professional & put me at ease with his friendly approach , not forgetting the assistsnt (sorry cant recall their name). It is important not to expect results immediately but I can now see the results more & more as I was truthfully advised by Mr Diwakar. After 20+ years of being conscious of my varicose veins in my left leg, I visited the Manchester clinic. I had no pain in it, it was done purely for cosmetic reasons. Dr Previn Diwakar was my doctor. He did everything including the initial consultation, explained everything fully and how much it would cost. It was good how I only dealt with the 1 person throughout. I had EVLA and foam sclerotherapy. The procedure was slightly uncomfortable but not painful. I took half a day off and I was able walk on it straight after. I was in work the day later and back to exercise within 2 days. I went back for my follow up 9 weeks later and I had some extra foam sclerotherapy. It has been 2.5 months since the first procedure and 1 week after my second. I have had no problems or encountered any of the small risks that was discussed to me. There is still approx 10% left to be rid of, with some slight bruising, but already my leg is 1000% better than it was and I have no regrets! I will follow up with before & after photos in a few months. This summer I will not be in black tights! Thank you Dr Previn x
