Love stopping off here for a drink or bite to eat in between wondering around Manchester. It’s very central, right by Piccadilly gardens tucked away before you enter the heart of the northern quarter. They have various partnerships with amazing food businesses like crumble and salt and pepper (haven’t tried the others but only heard great things!). They have comfy outdoor seating and little huts outdoors for your own private party.

What a great little hidden gem this place is! Spotted the sign and lighting a few months back when driving through Manchester, we said then we’d give it a go one day, so we had chance to go this week and what a cracking place and idea it is. Mala offers drinks and a limited food menu, we only had drinks this time, but judging by what food they offer, you could easily come here and spend the night drinking and nibbling on some what looked like some tasty treats. There was one section of the food menu that was unavailable on our visit, but if that was available, there could potentially be quite a good food choice. The Ethiopian food selection was a pleasant surprise whilst scrolling through the menu, as it’s not very often you see this option on a standard food menu in Manchester. I’m sure that we’ll come back and sample the food one day, but one thing is for sure, we’ll definitely be back for more drinks. We entered via the floral archway and were welcomed by a super friendly member of the team who advised us on how to order via the app. She also told us about the seating options, one of which, was an option to sit in a converted shed, yes a shed, but believe me, it’s a sight to behold and a pleasure to experience. It states that this is a secret garden and it truly is. Hidden by high solid fences, you couldn’t imagine what it is like until you walk in there, but please give it a visit, it’s a great concept, they provide great service which together delivers a great experience, highly recommended.

Great spot to eat, drink and meet with friends. Order via the app and have food and drinks delivered to your table. Worth noting that for food you are effectively ordering takeaway from local restaurants that are listed so it may not all arrive at the same time. Can also make it difficult to go off menu. We added notes to the end of our order. Eat indoors or out. There are some huts outdoor which give them best of both worlds.

One of my favorite new places in Manchester! The atmosphere is amazing! This is not your typical restaurants! you get a wide variety of different vendors, so lots pf options! (We tried the burgers and the apple crumble, loved them both!) It can get really really busy Friday night, so keep that in mind. Saturday noon was nice.

Loved the experience and found it really nice to sit and listen to the rain fall at the garden. Also they have dogs that are very friendly and nice, loved to have them near and play with them! If you want to have a drink or something to eat, stop here!

Really enjoyed finding this gem in the heart of Northern Quarter. Charming decor, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a great selection of drinks and food vendors. Also live music some days (but it doesn't get too loud like some other places). Food wise, I went with the Brazilian/Mexican place Rio-Mex. I'd tried it at Hatch before and enjoyed it, and I'm happy to say it's just as delicious here. The barbacoa beef taco is lovely, and the Brazilian croquettes are a great (though surprisingly filling!) snack with a drink. Well worth a visit, and I'll be back!

What a magical place! Found it while looking for somewhere else but decided to venture in. It is so unique with different nooks and crannies, we'll definitely be going back 😁

One of my favourites for drinks and food. So unique and quirky! Inside theme is amazing and they have sections with outdoor sheds to book for dining and drinks. Please come here on your travels!

This place is not what I expected in a good way. From the outside the walls are full of street art but as soon you go through the doors your jaw drops and all you can say is WOW. This place would be perfect for a wedding reception. Will definitely be returning in the future

Really cute cozy village setup had only drinks as did not have vegetarian food options, scanned and paid for the drinks we got table service. The space has little gems to take pictures beautiful and loads of options to try inside. We booked before but it was not to busy when we visited during the week. Would recommend

By far the best place to eat in Northern Quarter, fantastic people, lovely clean place, and an amazing selection of food that is constantly being added to with new exciting options. Crispy prawns were delicious, but we’ll be coming back for that massive chilli com carne burrito and for the roast chicken tacos.

The ambience of the place is great. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. I prefer indoor as it’s more spacious and much more convenient. The interior is just superb. The food is fabulous but certain items might take longer than desired but considering all things it’s good. Taste is just awesome. Location is also pretty central and is walkable from city center. The only issue I found with the place was the cost. It’s slightly on the costlier end but surely worth the visit every now and then. I would strongly recommend this place but if you plan on going do make a reservation before hand. They take reservations online via website which you will find in location pin.

Lovely little find, with a range of bars, supply and good food and the cocktails are amazing. Had several coffee-based cocktails from espresso martini to a tiramisu and bounty which were particularly lovely. There was also a jazz trio, playing tunes. Has a great indoor outdoor atmosphere with large tables and a QR code for ordering your drinks and food. It’s a lovely little oasis in central Manchester.

Really nice. Can imagine it’s stifling in summer - the roof reminds me of my greenhouse at home. As a winter venue, however, this place is the pinnacle northern quarter when it comes to festivities! The food is lovely, the ambiance is fantastic, I could only score higher had my baby Guinesses arrived sooner.

Drawn in by the Happy Hour sign on the pavement! Fantastic ‘secret’ place with indoor and outdoor seating, comfy sofas, and a very chilled vibe. Easy ordering with QR code on table. Well-made cocktails and great cake. Friendly helpful staff.

Cute pugs there are! Good place for small size to large group gathering. One thing needed to be improved is cleanliness that the cushions and sofas are always with stains...

Great location and atmosphere. There are a few different vendors which you can order food from, we both had chicken baguettes with fries which were very nice. You have your own little booth/shed which adds some privacy even if it is busy. Very nice place, will definitely be going back.

Stopped here on a quiet Monday evening for dinner. unfortunately only a couple of food options were available neither particularly exciting. Enjoyed the atmosphere and setting would go back again as it would've been great I'm sure! Easily ordered my food and drinks via the app which all came promptly.

This is an adorable cafe. The decoration outside is beautiful and the atmosphere is unimaginable. It is also very cozy inside. We liked it so much that we've been there twice on our vacation of 3 days

A very quirky place. A really great setting, different and unique. Great choice of food. Affordable food prices however, drinks on expensive side.

Love Mala, it's our go to spot in town for a good coffee cocktail in a quirky environment. Great options on drinks and a cool atmosphere. Was joined by the 2 resident frenchies on our last visit so all the more reason to head back soon.

This is a lovely indoor garden in central Manchester and a delightful place to work. They play music from Cymande and there is abundant provision of charging points and good WiFi. They even have a resident pug who curled up and slept at my feet. If management are reading this, in the 2 hours I was there, I noticed 7 potential customers leave because the menu is on a QR code. Streamlining the purchasing process is a great idea but causes a decent amount of people to balk. I wonder if a strategic change in direction would increase business.

Second visit, quirky place, food decent and easy to order with table QR code. Slatted tables (48) = food gets stuck in between and stays there unless you clean it away, not that nice to look at

A nice and cosy place to chill and have a drink, to meetup with friends. This place looks like a pop-up spontaneous place in the middle of a forest, feel like sitting in the Nature, in the woods. Quite a good way to relax a bit at the fantastic environment with live DJ making music at the back.

The place is lovely and I like the music. I recommend the cocktails which are very good but not the food. Unfortunately it closes early at the weekend.
