Thanks for being one of the worst places I have ever been on my entire life (and I am not exactly a teen and I've traveled quite a.lot in my life) I don't know where to start honestly, food is horrific, place old and decrepit and dirt. Maybe decent for a cheap beer? Definitely a place or students or drunk people which have no clue about what they're putting in their mouths. God help them!

Really fantastic food, the nicest club sandwich I’ve ever had (I’ve come back for it twice) which is mostly what grants this place a good review. the location is nice and the outside area is well appreciated during summer. Only pointers is that customer service is often lacking in my experience, and the price is a little high for a university location. Okay selection of draught but could be better. another cider would be nice, even a different lager. Great varied menu with good veggie options. Overall, food just really great

I had delicious brunch at Kro Bar. Staff were lovely and helpful, explaining everything you asked about. The Bof burger is amazing, although we couldn’t figure out how to eat it rather than using the knife and fork because the whole burger was merged in the gravy sauce but it was delicious. Salmon was okay but nothing special. Chicken penne Pasta was good.

Ordered two pints of cider. Sat outside and people watched. Nice building and great to be outside having a nice day on a sunny day. Wasn't that busy in the day time. I would visit again if in the area. Loads of drinks on offer.

Nice pub in the middle of the University campus and near the Royal Infirmary too. Great food at very good prices, including breakfasts and cakes. Good drinks although slightly expensive, good service and great atmosphere. Great garden for those days with nice. A classic place for lunch for University staff.

Nice bar, large space. Just opposite the Accadamy where we went to watch a band. Prices OK, and they topped the Guinness up after I asked them to as the head on it was an Inch thick. Nice enough though.

Good food and wine. Nice atmosphere. We booked a table for a group of 10. This was upstairs, which was fine, but we had to go downstairs to order drinks and food at the bar which wasn't all that handy as we were seated on benches at a long table and Kro Bar was busy.

Nice airy two-floor bar in the heart of University District. Nice food spotted on others' tables and a good selection of beers including Berliner pilsner.

Good beer, good food, nice seating option outside, inside seating is nice and cozy as well .. a shot of Akvavit reminding of Nordic country visits in the past ….

Only popped in briefly to meet up with friends before a gig. But good range of drinks, readoble prices. Plenty of seating inside and out the back. Outside seating is covered but not all heated. When we have more time would have a longer visit and have food. As from seeing what others had looked good.

Booked KroBar as I don't really know Oxford Road and wanted somewhere close to the Academy for a gig. This place was literally over the road! Even though we were late getting there, the guys had kept the table and were so lovely when we arrived. The menu was amazing! Extensive selection of delicious sounding food - something for everyone - even my 7yo son. Ordering food was quick and they delivered exactly what we ordered in no time, even though it was a busy Friday night. Such a great find and I'll be recommending it to friends. We'll also be back!

We travelled to Manchester for a concert and hadn't made plans to eat anywhere in particular. On the way I'd said I fancied a burger, and just after parking the car came across Kro Bar. We saw that there was an offer of 2-4-1 on a Tuesday for burgers, and so it was an easy decision to go and eat I was absolutely blown away at the quality of my burger, which also had chilli as an added extra . I couldn't believe how nice it was, and didn't stop talking about it for about 20 minutes. Thank you guys, the whole experience was awesome 👍

Used to live near here but moved away 10 years ago. Still the same in a goodway - food, drink etc. If it aint broke dont fix it.

Good selection of international draft and bottled beers served within a spacious comfortable environment. There are gardens front and back and plenty of seating inside. The food is delicious and different with good size portions and very reasonable. The staff are really nice as well. Would recommend (and not just for students).

This place was a delightful find during my time at the hospital. Tired of the usual unhealthy fast food options, I stumbled upon this gem offering breakfast until 3 pm. I decided to try the hummus and avocado bagel, and it exceeded all my expectations. The flavors were spot on, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident with every bite. To complement the meal, I ordered a delicious cup of coffee that further elevated the experience. I enjoyed it so much that I've already made plans to return tomorrow for breakfast. I just love it.

Very pleasantly surprised to see Danish food represented so clearly (with Danish spellings on the menu as well!) and done just about as well as one could hope for. Recommended.

Nice bar opposite the Academy in Manchester where we were going for a gig. Good choice of beers and really nice food at student prices. Also good sized disabled toilets. Would recommend.

This is a lively bar and can be quite noisy as it is situated in an old house with wooden floor boards and high ceilings. It is also a popular student haunt and can be packed at key times, such as Open Days and Graduations. If you don't like noise or can suffer from sensory overload, you may wish to wish to pick a quiet time. The process is to find a table, then order from the bar. The menu is varied, the food is excellent, and service is good, even when busy.

A delightful find. A perfect place to get my energy up before my show tonight at Manchester Academy. The food was incredible, fairly priced and the venue was so chill and relaxing. Tack!

We had the Sunday roast. It was super cheap and healthy.

Kro is a great place for a drink and the food was excellent too. We were there for a work leaving do with lots of people coming and going and all felt welcome. The staff were very accommodating and the do went very well.

We made a large booking of about 56 people for a Christmas dinner. The food was excellent, service also brilliant. Great experience all round for such a large group. Highly recommended Kro Bar.

Super tasty food and Good Vegetarian Options too.

The burgers were delicious. The vegan Thai tofu stir fried noodles were also very delicious, which is remarkable considering that this place does not specialise in Asian cuisine. It’s very close to the university so it’s often frequented by students, which might explain why the prices are quite cheap. If you’re coming by car, find a parking spot in advance. There’s some free roadside parking on Cecil Street, which is about a 7 minute walk away.

Always a great experience, been here many times and it never disappoints! The staff are lovely and bring your food quickly. They have a great variety of ales and lagers that they regularly rotate. The 2 for 1 offers on food is fantastic value too.

A very good place to drink some special beers. Good price, having into account the location. A lot of varieties of beer and a nice place to be in. It has a terrace but the inside is very fine. Right in front of the university.
