Arriving Manchester town centre from hundreds miles away. I found “Burger & Lobster” was closed down. 😞 This Jianbing shop is still operating in the same location as normal. It’s there for long time. Compared with authentic Chinese Jianbing in China, people might feel it’s not very authentic. To be honest, it’s not surprising, because lots of foods materials are different. On the contrary, it is normal that a food being brought into a country would be modified to suit local tastes and culture. To Chinese UK residents, it’s good enough 🥰

I was curious about this food stall that always had a long queue, and I'm glad I decided to check it out. The food was delicious and surprisingly affordable. However, it's worth noting that they only accept cash, so make sure you come prepared. mIf you're looking for tasty and affordable food, this place is definitely worth to try

I recently had the pleasure of trying the chicken Jian bing at Gerry's Chinese Pancake House, and it was a delightful experience. The pancake was expertly made, with a crispy exterior and a tender, flavorful chicken filling. The combination of spices and seasonings used in the dish was balanced and gave it a satisfying taste. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was visually appealing. If you're a fan of Chinese cuisine, particularly pancakes, I highly recommend trying the chicken Jian at Gerry's Chinese Pancake House.

Chinese pancake 煎饼 is awesome! It was very reasonably priced at £3.50 for a huge serving. I recommend adding chilli to it if you like the taste！

Having lived in Sichuan, jianbing is a favourite of mine. Was in Manchester for the day so hunted down this place! Was really great! really reasonable price too! Yum

Famous Chinese pancake in front of Primark at Market Street. We ordered Chinese pancake (Jian Bing) and panfried flat noodle (烤冷面). Both of them taste well, and the portion is so generous. You know the food is nice and affordable when there is a long queue.

This is a fantastic food truck. Some Chinese classics but for me it's all about the jianbing. Beautifully light egg pancakes loaded with a choice of fillings, from Sausage or Chicken through to some great vegetarian options too. Not too expensive however they don't take card payments so you'll need some real cash on you. I had the spicy cumin chicken jianbing and it was so good. Chicken cooked to perfection and a really good level of spice. When I am next in Manchester I will be making a bee line to this place.

We tried many restaurants but their Dumplings are the best. Perfectly cooked and so delicious 😋. The staff over there are so friendly and helpful. We'll visit again soon.

We had our first jianbing today after saying we’ll come here for so long! We had fillings of shredded potatoes, spicy beef and hotdog, with medium spicy. It was so delicious! The portion was big too, very much value for money. We will definitely buy many many times over again when we’re in the city. The boss is also very friendly and chatty, definitely makes you feel welcomed. Highly recommend for anyone in the city and looking for real authentic Chinese food!

Highly recommend this lovely street food 👍👍👍 The food truck owner, an aunt is really nice and friendly. She is very generous for adding ingredients on each pancake. I will revisit this magic place again for sure. I paid £8.5 for ordering spicy and cumin beef Jianbing adding kelp and potatoes. The flavor is quite authentic. 🔸️One thing needs to be noticed: Every meal takes time to make. This is not fast food, as a result, you have to wait patiently for them to serve you. But it is worth to wait for this delicacy. 😊

Authentic Chinese street food from a family run van. The jianbing is great and the beef is proper spicy. I'm keen to try the sausage option next time. Plenty of spots nearby in open plaza to sit and eat too.

The chow mien from here is so good wether it’s with chicken or beef it’s so delicious. If only they accept card 😭

Gerry's is always worth it. We queued in the pouring rain the other day just to pick up a Jian Bing. Fighting off the other customers to get your order in is a key part of the experience. Service is usually slow because of how many orders they have. But all of their food is the best thing I have ever eaten. I wish they had a sit in restaurant!

Authentic Chinese street food done right! Really good, generous portion sizes, the staff are always nice too! It's a small menu with a select amount of options, every dish served here is excellent. I would heavily recommend trying the Canton Beef with the fried rice!

非常难吃，油泼辣子是苦的，很明显炸辣椒过头了，凉皮的酱料很难吃，发苦。煎饼果子的油条和薄脆都非常难吃。并且排队的时候，店家现场培训新员工导致客户站着等了二十多分钟，还忘记拍号顺序，非常不专业！总之，根本就不配4.8这个评分！

Good portion for price. Ordered spicy cumin chicken + fried rice for £7, would recommend to go half and half with noodles as the fried rice can get boring, but the chicken is excellent - well spiced and full of flavour. They only accept cash so if you have moved towards a cashless, digital future, be prepared to handle physical money, just like the days of old.

The salt and pepper chicken is very spicy and hot, almost too much for me. But that's on me, should have guessed :D Portion are very generous. Definitely recommend!

This Chinese street food is superlative, delicious, full of flavour. Many chinese go here, so that means it is good!! Portions are big and the speciality JIANBING the photo below, it is really recommend.
