UPDATE: Ordered a couple weeks ago and unfortunately the chicken split and fish were salty. I've had to downgrade my review. Owner has decided to use my images without asking permission or crediting. On asking him to remove it politely, instead of apologising he just decided to call me "toxic" and still has the images up. I'm a small blogger/reviewer, I don't ask for any money - but at least give credit where it is due by tagging or sharing. His response was dissappointing. It's a shame they think they can treat customers this way.

Went for Too Good to Go and paid £4 for something that's worth £12 according to the app. Was disappointed with the flavours let alone the portion size. It's not something from their menu. It was chicken and a lot of rice with some instant takeaway curry flavour. There was no sign of actual sauce in liquid form so what's the point of giving me a fried dumpling that was super dry? One could argue that the rice and "peas" (barely any) absorbed the sauce but that's interesting because it was supposed to be served fresh and I picked up the order before the arranged time at 5pm (they close at 8pm) and ate it soon after. The flavours were like having a biryani. Nothing Carribbean alike.

My review is solely based on taste, for which, I cannot blame the restaurant at all. I was one of the last thought the door for the day. The hospitality and friendliness displayed by both owner and staff was second to none. I opted for the peppered steak which with this type of cuisine would have been prepared earlier in the day. By closing time, It was a little stringy yet tough and the sauce had dried a tad. No doubt had I purchased this earlier, I'd be raving. I shall be back soon though guys so keep doing your thing. This shop had different owners, unfortunately closed during covid, the food was authentic and tasty, I would eat here on a regular basis. Now, I ordered a magic bag from too good to go. Took a chance as I know they have new owners, very disappointed and a little fustrated in what was presented. Rice and peas were burnt, chicken was tasteless and tasted like yesterday's meat, which to my surprise when I was waiting I saw them place chicken in a container which I presumed would be frozen or placed in the fridge for the next day. I do not agree with this, especially when you're promoting fresh cooked food. Considering I paid £8 for food, there was not much variety either the soup had no soup in and was tasteless also. Over the year's I have seen many caribbean restaurants open and close, and many immitated by those that have no Caribbean background or experience of Caribbean cooking, this can have a negative impact on Caribbean food shops that are authentic and cook their food with love. The food I purchased was not authentic Caribbean food. Educate yourself in flavours and cooking processes. Disappointed, there 6 many Caribbean takeaways in my area that serve good food. To end my review I will say that the man who served me was very polite and good on service, sadly food isn't high standard.

So good this! Unreal flavours, curry goat + jollof rice was great and so is the spicy fried jackfruit (best jackfruit I've tried tbh) defo recommend.

Unbelievable. Been on the lookout for a top quality Caribbean place since moving to Reddish and we’ve found it. Ordered the mango & pineapple fish, jerk shredded chicken, plantains and dumplings with the curry goat sauce. EVERYTHING was incredible. I’m going to have to try the curried goat after using it as a dipping sauce for the dumplings and it was so flavoursome. Will be ordering again very soon.

This place is value and quality. Why would you want to buy food from a restaurant that's spent £5k on a fancy neon sign? Putting money into fancy decor adds no Flava. Owners and staff are lovely.

I stumbled across this fabulous place and wasn’t disappointed. Being vegan I was able to have the deep fried Jackfruit with Jollof rice. It was delicious with just the right amount of spice. I also took home some patties, Breadfruit and Callaloo, Curried Jackfruit and Mixed Veg. All reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be back very soon!

Unbelievable! Me and the Mrs went for a quick visit and the bloke running it was great. Food was amazing and portion size was great. Will definitely be coming back

A fantastic great value place were foods cooked from scrathch with love the name matches my experince great flavours we normaly have goat curry and peas and rice plus for the vegans in our family jackfruit but today we tried the new vegan bread fruit curry with some sweat potatoe fritters. Friendly staff and great music.

Purchased Via To Good to go. Reasonable prices. Nice people and nice food. Also witnessed them feeding the homeless with food that was going to go to waste which was a good gesture. God bless

Order made in error and woman said it was cancelled but delivered over £50 of food to wrong address. Rang back and fobbed off saying I can’t cancel over phone . Uber eats said cancelled over phone only . Rip off disgusting customer service but will be getting a refund even if by taking legal action . Rude abusive female disgusting 100% avoid liars
