A long wait and food was not so nice. I ate it all as I was hungry but for the price I would not visit this place again. The plate the steak came on was chipped and cracked but they didn't do anything about it. The lady serving at bar and taking our payment was rude in response. Not sure if she was a supervisor or Manager. I told her she needs to bin the plate. They even charged a service charge of 10% which was unknown until paying. About 6 chunky chips, steak, some coleslaw, no mushrooms which should have been with it too. Cost £19 plus 10% service charge on top. A place down road was around £10 for same. Unhappy Customer.

Nice place.. Nice food. They wrote a poster and also in their menu that ,u get 20% off for walk in Tuesday and order drink with ur food, which what we did but they didn't deduct that from the bill. I don't recommend this place for this reason.

Took over 45 mins to receive our food after ordering. Stayed to watch the football and the service wasn't the best. Could not tell who worked there and who was there as a customer as the staff didn't wear anything to indicate that they were workers. Many staff members either stayed behind the bar and chatted or went up to their friends at other tables and talked. Not worth the price that we had paid for food and drinks, especially as my other half and I had gotten sick off of the food we ate anyways. Really disappointed.

Went in here at brunch time! the atmosphere was lovely.the waitresses was really nice But the food was absolutely disgraceful. The worst £15.50 breakfast I’ve ever had! Eggs and mushrooms swimming in oil, bacon and tomatoes dried like they been cooked hours before and left on the hot plate, toast covered in cheap tasting margarine! Coffee tasted like it has been filtered several times just smelled like coffee.

Looks nice from the outside and the menu is very much an American style menu ribs, steak, chicken etc. Went in and the waitress was pleasant and sat us down, it was 12pm on Tuesday so nowhere was particularly busy but we were literally the only customers in there. Garlic bread with cheese was barely toasted and the cheese had been grated and thrown on the top unheated. Took a bite and was cold. Sent it back because it was just not edible. When it came back it looked completely different, not sure if they had run out of bread but this time it was on a brioche bun or a croissant couldn't really tell but it was floppy and again completely unappealing. Then came 3 x ribs. We were already a bit worried at this point but to be fair the ribs were actually edible, but they are probably some of the worst I've had. They somehow managed to be tender and dry all at the same time (probably reheated from a week ago), but the biggest probably was just too much salt and way too much pepper. All in all couldn't wait to leave and certainly won't be going back. On the plus side they had Aspall which I really like 👍

Wondered why afterwards it was so quiet and next door was heaving. We were the only couple in there for a while and considering it was about 6pm that should have said a lot. The place was freezing and I didn't want to take my coat off even whilst eating. Obviously the owners think it's not an expense worth spending money on to keep staff and guests comfortable. The food was really average. I had a burger that cost £15 and tasted like it was from a burger van. Won't ever be going back here again. I also HATE places that automatically sneak service charge on and hope its not noticed. This isn't America! Had I noticed before by partner had paid it would definitely have been removed. Service did not warrant a tip!!!!

Food was below average. Burgers looked great online however they felt like burgers you'd buy in Asda and cook at home. The drinks where warm which wasn't great on a very hot day. However, the lady member of staff who was working was fantastic!!

We were a stag group of 12 gents and this venue were brilliantly accommodating having had no booking, their cocktails were great and the food really hits the spot and doesn’t disappoint. We were served by Carmen and she really looked after us all. Thank you Portland Bar and Grille. Will definitely be back when in Manchester.

Absolutely fantastic place with some lovely people looking after you. The service provided is second to none. Food was great. The time we spent was enjoyable with good music in the background and service with a smile. We forgot some shopping at the restaurant and staff were very quick to help us out. Would definitely recommend this place.

I had a chance to be there on Monday and there was huge bargain offer - all food half price, excluding grill 😮😁. So obviously my inner pig 🐽 came out and I've ordered way too much 😂. I had godzilla size spicy burger, oven cooked camembert and jalapeños with cheese. Everything was tasty. Basically it's poshed up pub food but with generous portions. Will come back there.

Didn't take any photos but for £36 for a small and tough piece of steak, a burger and a hot dog both with and chips without alcohol, only soft drinks I'm not going to be going back there any time soon. PSBG is very much like McDonald's. The food is uniformly good no matter what you order and no matter when you visit. It's also value pricing. Popped in for a "Full English" this morning and was served by a beautiful blonde lady with the most lovely smile, and friendly attitude. Nice atmosphere. Easy access. Clean hygiene facilities. Would have really had the best experience if the people serving at the bar didn't have to do a but of a dance off before getting me my drink. That being said, I think that may have been a thing for the day and I doubt it will happen again. Still a good place that I would go to any day.

Absolutely amazing breakfast. All the staff were so friendly. It was a breath of fresh air that they were all so polite and welcoming. They actually seemed like they enjoyed their jobs and were happy and even laughing and one girl was singing on the way to the kitchen. Breakfast was one of the best ever. The sausages were delicious and the hash brown was crispy and not soggy. The whole thing was brilliant, only tiny thing was my beans were cold, but that’s it.

The service was excellent. The 2 staff on duty tonight were the most attentive and polite we have met in a long time. Whoever owns this place is lucky to have them. The food was delicious but the red plastic basket it was served in cheapened the look. That was the only shortfall.

Visited once, and seriously cannot wait to go back!! really fun night going on Friday nights where they have their salsa classes, although I didn't know you needed to pay for the classes.
