Well it wasn’t as expected. The fried products were not drained properly. Fish was under cooked. However, few items in main course were nice. Sweet dish section was good.

I’ve been to a few of these all you can eat buffets and my opinion doesn’t change on any of them. They are not worth the money you pay unless you can eat like man vs food. Overrated and the quality of food is not fantastic. I spent £105 for 2 teenagers and 2 adults which I personally think is extortionate considering I paid £25 for a jug of Pepsi and a bottle of water. You can go for a curry anywhere in Manchester and it won’t cost you that. Not recommend 👎🏻

Came all the way to this place to eat as heard a lot about their food but the quality is really poor, i wouldve given them no stars but there wasnt any other option. Management was good took us to our table but guys just stood around waiting for us to finish our food to take our plates i even had to tell one of them to give us space.i had dahi bhalla chaat for starters and a plate of chicken wings, lamb chops(that are meant to be fresh) and chapal kebabs, i left the chaat there as it was old and soggy and yogurt was absolutely sour, kebabs were nice and fresh, wings had a very bad smell as if they were re heated so left them and chops the guy made me wait for as he was making more but when he put them in my plate they were absolutely cold and very thin, for mains i had chicken karahi as no other curry was appealing and hardly any lamb options,i also had chicken biryani which was coloured rice but no flavour at all and dhaal which was ok,i had a spoon of each thing and left it,then for desert had phirni in a round clay dish and banoffee pie which were nice.so altogether i had two lamb chops one kebab,a spoon of rice, one small piece of naan, phirni and banoffee pie and i paid £22-23 which was not worth it all poor quality food no taste at all and not worth the price i was shocked i al never going there again i wonder why Birmingham branch shut down

I have been to this place at least 4-5 times mainly for the variety of dishes and the choices of their lamb main courses. The food is over the top and specially the lamb main course dishes as i mentioned are the charm of the place. Me being a lamb lover just gets attracted to the place every now and then. The reason for the 4 stars is the price. The last i went to this place was a few years ago and i remember it being around £17 and now its £22 for the buffet. Realistically, its a 30% hike in around 3 years time which is a bit too much considering the other buffet spreads around Manchester and birmingham serving a similar thing for less than £20.

Was totally worth flying from Dublin to Manchester just to eat at Nawab <3 It never disappoints. I just love the number of options available for everything. The quality of 90% of dishes were absolutely fresh and delicious. No doubt it isn't easy to keep 150+ dishes fresh but somehow they doing it. The toilets could have been more cleaner.

Last Sunday was my first time here and I wondered if the reality would match the hype. It did, and then some. Thank god I don't live local otherwise my cholesterol levels would surge like a NASA rocket within a week ! The variety is crazy - I only scratched the surface of the menu. You can specially request items from the chefs but I was satisfied with the ample buffet offering. Don't sidestep the Chinese section. The sweet and sour chicken was amazing. I think the best plan is a bit of everything than overloading too much on starters, mains or desserts. The only downsides were that it appeared there was a language barrier with staff, some of whom English didn't come easy. Their demeanour was friendly and used plates were quickly cleared - and I understand it wasn't easy hearing amidst the din of noise. Better provision could also have been made for tap water. To refill you have to trudge all the way to the bar area and back to your table. Some refill points closer to the tables would've been ideal. We didn't have to wait long for a table but the place was hectic even for a Sunday night. The buffet lines were like a Royal Rumble sometimes. Adult buffet prices is £26.95pp but given the food quality and choice, it was fair.

Visited this place a few times over the years for the buffet. Think the quality has gone down a bit unfortunately. The interior as you walk in is still lovely. There was a bit of a wait to be seated even though there were dozens of empty seats. The food quality left something to be desired. The curries were good but it was the rice, chips and bread that was a let down so it made the curries not as enjoyable. Stay away from the lasagne, it's awful. The starters were okay, slightly better than frozen quality food. The cake was nice, the ice cream tasted cheap. The food was relatively hot for a buffet and the staff cleared the plates effectively which is good. It was £25 for entry then about £7 for a jug of coke which is ridiculous, especially as a lot of the food was more salty than usual. If you want tap water you have to go over to a self service area and the water was lukewarm and not pleasant.

For many years I stopped going here because of the waiting time. Then once you would get in the queue to put food on your plate would be so long and felt like you were at a soup kitchen..once you finally got your food the waiters would be hovering around for you to hurry up and eat as there were hoards of people waiting outside for a table. Very uncomfortable dining. HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised as this time we sailed in and got a table..the queue was, well there wasn't really a queue so no waiting for food. The quality and variety of food was amazing. And unlike previously the dessert bar had a lot of choice and was much improved in taste too! Well done management in making these improvements. So there is no tap water available which I think should change as most big restaurants offer tap water too. The jug of drink was quite flat so this is one department that needs attention now. Finally customer service was very good. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We were celebrating a friends birthday and forgot to bring candles for the cake but they had some and brought the cake in with a team of staff coming along to sing happy birthday. That was nice. Overall I would visit again and do recommend anyone to go on a totally empty stomach as there are so many yummy foods to choose from.

What a wonderful Halal buffet in Manchester! Previously known as Royal Nawab - This place reminded me so much of my own home country. Everything was grand, you get so many options, and everything tasted amazing. Staff were extremely responsive and hard-working. I especially loved the grilled chicken wings. Pani puri and paye/nihari weren't so great, but the rest of the buffet from salads to pan asian to Pakistani/Indian food was amazing! The desserts were hot and cold both. Truly amazing place if you know how to eat properly. Water/drinks are not included in the buffet.

Previously NAWAB of Manchester. I think under new management. But vibes r the same, nothing has changed. Same huge hall full of people and extreme noise. Kids running everywhere and dropping food on each other. Only good thing is buffet of desi food. I think they have retained the same chefs as food taste hasn't changed at all. Good combo of different kinda desi food. Advice, be ready to wait for 45 MINS at least as a walk in guest. Dnt order bottled water, instead ask for tap water.parking is plenty full in the back of restaurant. Overall guilty as charged of going back that place assuming atmosphere will be better but no. Eat, comeback and curse ur ears for two days at least due to extreme noise in the restaurant.

Went with family 👪, didn't have to wait long for table, interesting how you have to book table in before you go inside scan qr code, have to fill it in how many people and kids name and number, very sceptical about this, what do they do with this information, anyway, we got the for 7pm very busy, food is spot on, agree with people that recommend me this place starters are fantastic choices of food, main course could not so much, desert different storie they had apple crumble, i mean this was was thin crust pizza maybe even thinner, portion size was shocking, can't even call that apple crumble, plenty of parking 🅿 space available, would I come again probably no, to expensive for price of buffet, kids £13 quid daughter barely ate anything she only 4, £27 for adult to pricey, that's not including drinks, definitely should be in it at least glass of drink or small bottle of drink, £7 quid for Jug Pepsi

This restaurant localized inside an hotel, they provide the open buffet service ( all what you can eat, drinks excluded), the food is mainly Pakistani dishes. Entrance fees is somehow expensive. There is a free parking for customers. I recommend it for family gathering.

Had the pleasure of doing Magic and children’s Entertainment at a first Birthday Party at this venue today. The staff where very helpful and polite and nothing was to much. For me as a performer working here I was on the second floor which meant using a side door to unload and then having to carry my stuff across the main entrance to a lift to the second floor and sometimes today it was not working. I personally didn’t think it was fair on guests in other rooms who had to see me carry stuff across and use the same lift. That was the only reason I gave 4 stars. I think it is a great venue and would recommend it.

Visiting for the first time on a short trip over from Glasgow based on a recommendation, and after a long drive I wasn't disappointed! The venue itself has ample parking in a dedicated car park at the back, with a parking attendant, which was good. Upon entering, the reception interior is impressive and everything appears super sized, very airy and grand. We are guided to scan the QR code nearby and book a table. After less than a couple of minutes waiting in the opulent reception area in very comfortable seats, we are asked to go into the restaurant. For someone entering for the first time, the scale is huge and can be overwhelming (in a good way!). We are guided to a table, hungry and ready to enjoy what is on offer. The place is very busy, and it's a good sign, with a mix of groups, couples and families. The service itself is pleasant when you find someone to ask a question of, but after our first visit we will know how it operates and be fine, so for our first time it wasn't really clear on how you get started (turns out you just get stuck in!) And order drinks (went to the bar to be directed back to the table), after that it was smooth sailing. The food selection itself was vast and served every desire. I started with a nice mixed salad which was fresh and tasty, with a selection of raita and kebab sauce to accompany my starters. Both sauces were delicious. It was very busy, but I didn't spend a lot of time waiting for anything, and the business added to the ambience. The starter selection was simply superb. I could have dined all evening on the selection alone. See my photo of one of my starter plates! Every item had it's own distinct character and I'd say was of restaurant quality, which is something of contention when partaking in a self-serve/buffet experience. From the fish pakoras, the seekh kebab, the Chapli kebab, the veg and aloo pakoras, it was all magnificent. After taking a short break and enjoying some cold soft drinks, I went back for some more fish pakoras because they were so delicious, before exploring the mains on offer. I must add by this point I was feeling quite full, so I ended up sampling some of my established desi favourites: traditional naan bread, chicken karahi, lamb karahi and some saag. The naan was acceptable, but not particularly stand out compared with anything else I tried. I can understand keeping naan bread and other accompaniments like chips etc tasting as it would fresh is challenging, so I'm not scoring anything down on this basis. The curries were delicious, and similar to the starters, of restaurant quality. I noted a lot more main dishes on offer, including steaks made to order, which I was thoroughly impressed by. Will make sure to try some more variety of the mains next time I visit. Despite now being very full and satisfied, I went to sample some dessert. With lots of traditional desi options available as well as classic western options (apple pie, cheese cake etc) I opted for the gulaab jaaman with vanilla ice cream. The dessert stations were extra busy at this point, but I enjoyed ordering and joining in the busyness waiting for my dessert to be put together in the rush of what must have been another 20 people ordering or collecting desserts at the same time. The dessert was delectable and simply fantastic. Soft, flavoursome gulaab jamin coupled with creamy, rich vanilla ice cream - when done this well is untouchable. Now very satisfied, we headed out, adding this to our list of places to definitely visit when we return to Manchester. The prices were reasonable and reflective of the quality of the food and surroundings. Thanks Team Merzee!

Did a sneak visit to use the prayer room. The prayer room is nice and clean. Didn't go for food this time, but it usually is pretty good. Miss the hustle and the queueing. Starters are better than mains as far as i remember.

Tried this place for the first time as a treat for the family, Food was spicy and had no flavour to it, The starters was the better selection over the curries and not many rice options available I personally think for the price of the buffet the food definitely wasn't worth it. We had all commented about how we could've gone to our normal Indian restaurant that would've been cheaper and nicer food. The puddings was okay, it was overall average for what you got and definitely too pricey There's one positive to the restaurant which is that it's really presentable and actually is a really nice place inside, the waterfall as you go in is really relaxing and the overall place is clean

If you are hungry and here for an all you can eat restaraunt. Look no further than Nawaabs. Firstly the interior is amazing. With a grand fountain and polished up dining rooms. This establishment has the ability to cater for up to 200 people. For £25 per person there is much to eat compared to other buffets I have visited to. There are perfectly fried foods and also amazing grilled lamb chops. There is also elegantly made traditional Asian curries which are made with time. The place is almost always jam packed during peak times. The service is amazing. Finally their wide range of deserts and mishti is of the highest quality in all these all you can eat buffets. There is ample parking. Wish the owners and staff a prosperous future.

Surprise surprise surprise. Was an absolutely amazing experience and surprisingly good food. An extremely enjoyable widespread food and very very tasty experience. One particular item which is still tickling my mind is the lamb paya basically trotters. I thought I was having pindi chana and bature, as if I was in Amritsar. Words are insufficient to describe the great feeling I had. Thanks again.

Some nice selections in the buffet. Emphasis on ‘some’. Enjoyed especially the Samosa Chat. First time trying Firni and I throughly enjoyed its taste. And the Gulab Jamun was exquisite. Wish there was more types of rice selections. Add in fish dishes too, there was way too much lamb/chicken curries that tasted almost the same. Would like to have more interesting Indian/Pakistani desserts added as there are so much more varieties from both countries. The lemon cheesecake was terrible, I would not recommend eating that one. Also I did not like the fact that the staff on the dessert aisle was so impatient and unfriendly. I wanted to try more of the desserts but he put me off. The salad selections looked quite sad, they should have added flavourful combos. The place itself had a wonderful ambience. It is a nice place for a family to have food, but too expensive. Over £100+ for a family of four who had not eaten a lot.

I had dinner with my four buddies, and the food was ordinary. Good ambiance and fairly satisfactory service. The staff's attitude was not at all positive. The buffet's fish selections were absent. There was primarily chicken and lamb. The restrooms were clean, and the environment was pleasant overall. But there are many locations in Manchester where you can have decent meals at a nice restaurant without spending a fortune.

After reading the reviews left by people I was a but sceptical. But nonetheless I decided to visit. I greeted by friendly and courteous staff. The food was delicious and hot and fresh. 10/10. Ample dishes excelling each other. Service was excellent. After I complimented the chef for making such tasty Taka Tak dish, he made an effort to make another one in an authentic style and taste specially for myself by himself !!!! Hassan the attendant was very accommodating. After travelling from London and having tried their royal nawab in Ilford I will only be coming to Manchester for Merzee.!!! Please try yourself and build up your own opinion as some people have different experiences.

Very very crowded place. Waiting time is almost more than 1 hour. And we are talking about weekdays, not weekends. We were in a group of 22, they don't take booking for same day. So, if you want to go there then book a day in advance. The waiting area is good and very large. Ambience is brilliant, large hall for buffet. Food is of good quality and delicious, and all dishes are tasty, from starters to desserts. What I dislike about this place is no proper space on large tables as we are buffet to guests need to get up again and again to get food from the counter cannot have that long joint tables with sofa where just to take 1 piece of drumstick yoi have to tell 8 peoples to get up so that you can go out. What makes it worse is plate sizes. You have to use side plates for your main course. Also, if you put more than 3 starters, your plates are full, then get up, walk all the way to the counter, and get more starters. Secondly, the counter is so close to each other that it is hard to handle your plates by avoiding it to touch to the person in front of you. Found it expensive for the kids as they don't eat that much. Plus, no free water and drinks are quite expensive. Proper management is needed to handle the crowd coming here. It's not a good experience, but still, like the food will avoid going there until something changes.

The old Royal Nawaab which has altered names, its staff from entrance to the buffet dining area are always on hand. From main hall entrance to seating area it has a very large seating area ranging from couples to large groups. The amazing quality of this place is it has over 50 dishes from salads to sauces leading to a variety of various starters onto the main dishes, finished off with an option of different desserts 🍨 ranging from Asian sweets to ice cream. Do there's no extra cost on the buffet it's only the drinks charged in addition to food, but for the price you pay it's brilliant. For anyone that has never been to this amazing banquet is missing out vastly
