Very arrogant bar staff. Waited 20 minutes for a drink and then got attitude when we eventually did get a drink. There are so many better gay bars in Manchester where the staff are friendly. Would not recommend and would not return.

This is a cheap and tacky, run down bar. They do reasonably cheap generic drinks, have loud music and karaoke and rough patrons. The toilets are fairly broken and the place is dirty and generally feels run down. It's interesting to occasionally pop in for a quick drink to see what the place is like. Good do with a complete renovation to bring it up to the level of the other bars on Canal Street.

Decent venue, nice bar staff, the absolute rudest DJ we've ever met. Despite our group having spent a significant sum of money on multiple rounds of drinks, the DJ kept stopping the music and individually targeting people and yelling for us to buy drinks or leave. I can see this is something that has happened with multiple past customers but could not believe it would happen to us. Said with true hostility and venom as well, a very very sad man. Completely ruined the atmosphere and will make sure myself, my friends living here, and anyone visiting never attend this institution.

Avoid this place. I would give 0 stars if I could. We went to go into this bar, bouncers were really rude to us as we went to walk in, they shoved my friend down the step and tried saying he was too drunk because of this, they then grabbed him and told him he wasn’t allowed in. This was the first bar we had tried to go to.

It was already a dump but since bar pop took it over its become an open sewer the toilets are by far the most scariest thing I have ever seen I had to pee outside the bar staff are off there faces on drugs like mkat and ket also see them taking poppers the dance floor Is a danger to society there crowd is old men and pups aka mentally unwell adults it should be demolished and start over 😵

As stated in the review which I today posted on Trip Advisor, there is only one word required when reviewing Churchills in Manchester’s Gay Village…Outstanding! A focused reassuring security team providing reassurance, behind the bar is one of the best well oiled machine in a complimentary sense leading to each customer being served within 5 minutes and the award for the ‘absolutely nailed it’ category must go to the Friday Master of ceremonies/D.J/Karaoke aficionado bundle of talent that’s the glue which keeps it all together. Without doubt Churchills reminds you why you feel proud to come from Manchester. Thank you and congratulations to the leadership team and fantastic staff.. Vinny (Kingston Town)

The toilets admittedly weren't great but I really enjoyed myself, met some lovely people, everyone was lovely to me and my girlfriend. Will absolutely come again. Didn't go at a weekend though so can't say what that's like

Can't believe a piss poor bar can have the balls to charge 10 quid for a pint and a half for dark fruit. Much better bars around l

I regularly go in here the staff are really helpful and friendly and nearly always a karaoke afternoon or night that never disappoints

Bouncers pick and choose who they let in making out they had shows on, when clearly they didn't. And "try the next door" how rubbish is their customer service. Wouldn't recommend.

The gender neutral toilets are a disgrace with urine on the floor and the drinks are expensive and served in plastic glasses. An absolute disgrace.

Rather enjoyed attending here. They hosted an Alternative Market even with burlesque performers. I Had mulled wine £4.50 Spiced Rum £5.80 Friendly non judgemental bar staff. Its Spacious, clean outside. Has a lovely seating outdoor area too. It's situated on Canal Street. I quite like this street. I'll defo return

We had a brilliant day!! We had the most welcoming waiter. He’d only been working here two weeks but he was very professional and made us all (gay and straight) have a great day. Spectacular service from Shea. I’ve been down Canal Street for 10 years never really visited Churchill’s but after this experience I will be back!

Not a bad place to start a Friday night. Not too overcrowded and lots of cheesy music. There was a karaoke act singing 80s and 90s songs so the vibe was very camp. That said, there were plenty of places to sit and stand and the music wasn't too loud that conversation was possible. My first time visiting the Canal Street and was a unique experience. Although I feel it would be much better being here during summer rather than a very cold January night.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
