The bar has been given some much needed TLC. Interior has a late night neon lit vibe, cocktails added to the menu and the karaoke experience massively revamped! Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Fun. But don't expect to sing. The song queue is bloated with requests from people who have either changed their mind, or have already left because it took too long for their turn on stage. The DJ is pretty poor as well. When we were fed up of waiting for our song, we decided to go up to sing any old song that had come on the screen, but the DJ refused us, telling us we aren't the person who requested it. Nobody had been on stage for 30-40 minutes... I'd have thought the whole point of a DJ in a Karaoke bar is to make sure people are on stage singing... To add to this, new song requests had been stopped, and the DJ went ahead to play his own music whilst dancing on the stage. Absolute joke. Really abysmal. Other than that, it was fun, but as a Karaoke Bar, really poor.

VINA is good bar. I own many 5 star business & can say bar manager Judi is one of the best manager & make bar best one. He good at speaking, quick service, can make any drink you ask him. He good with customer, &make them happy to be inside VINA. Make the man laugh &the girl giggle. He is master bartender and manager. I want him to work for my business. The bar he working should be happy & lucky to have strong manager. He should promotion to top level as he is real man& runing everything and business very well and staff &customer respect him. My girls and I had a fun night in Manchester and we visited Vina Karaoke Bar. It was my first time singing karaoke in public and I loved the energy and hype we received from the people there. What I didn’t like is that the bar gets really hot when it becomes crowded and the songs we chose didn’t play until we were literally about to leave so we had to sing the songs back to back. Also, a fight broke out and the security men had to carry a man out of the bar. Besides that, yeah, it was a fun night. Would love to visit again.

Floor was a bit sticky and the lager (which wasn’t cheap) was stinking and was definitely off. Good atmosphere though and some very interesting performances from the regulars. Entertainment of the rawest variety!

Extremely unprofessional management who don’t care about the safety of customers or staff. Man was spitting in peoples pints finding it funny and the manager blamed the victims this happened to instead of solving the situation! Refused to pour fresh pints and reacted with anger towards customers for no reason. So many better places to go to for a fun night of karaoke!! Avoid this place if you wanna stay safe.

if you want to do kareoke , don’t come here. took my first experience here as a mistake. Was my friebds birthday we arrived early and requested songs around 9pm,the same people were invited up to sing and our requests were ignored which upset us.Second year in a row we returned at our friends request , once again we arrived early and we did not get to sing any of our songs.I think this place skips songs they don’t like and only accepts their friends , A lot better kareoke bars in mcr owner is nice but bartenders laughed when we were touched up by a customer who was kicked out eventually for touching us up,woukd reccomend elsewhere

What a brilliant karaoke venue 😍 Not expensive to go in, only a small door fee and drinks were very reasonable. They had a great set up - scan the QR code and put in your details to pick a song. Your name and song shows on the screen when it's your turn. Everybody in there was having a blast and joining in! It's way more fun than going into individual booths.. they had a really decent and varied catalogue of songs, too. Decor in the venue was so cool, too! Loads of neon signs & lights. I will 100% drag my friends back in when we visit Manchester again!

Got turned away at first due to dress code (I was in flip flops to be fair) but a quick change later and we were let in no issue, fairly good crowd for a Tuesday and song queues seemed to be no more than about 10 minutes so no waiting around. Judi and Evie behind the bar were great too quick service all round and remembering our order after a couple of rounds

Used to be good but now rude staff including doormen, karaoke set up is not good anymore. Different clientelle of people. Gone downhill im afraid. Lost a goodgroup of customers, not that the new staff will care. If you used to go here a few years ago I think you'll be disappointed now.

Was great. Up until my friend spoke to the dj. We visited as a group of 14 on 23rd July 2023. We had been there for coming on 3 hours and none of our songs came on so she went and asked the dj if the qr code worked or if we had to request through him. He screamed back at her “3 hours? Try having people saying this for 7 hours of your shift!”. Honestly it was unbelievable? When she went and told another friend what he had said he then began shouting across the dancefloor over the dj booth at her about how customers like me ruin his day. When we spoke to the manager on shift, she said that she had loads of complaints about him. His behaviour and attitude is disgusting, it’s meant to be a fun place to visit and have a laugh with friends. To be spoken to with a complete lack of respect and understanding is shocking.. You pay to get in then get spoken to like rubbish.. Such a let down for the company and the rest of the staff!

Dirty, drug taking, fighting all within 2 mins of us entering the bar! And we had to pay for the privilege! Glad I never have to go in there ever again!

Would avoid this at all costs, bouncers happy to let young females in but two Asian guys in front of me were rejected as they were not ‘regulars’ felt very discriminative. Found the bouncers very confrontational and the manager was also very unhelpful too. Overpriced drinks and a toilet area which you should wear some skates. It’s only a badge lads🫠

The best Karaoke bar in Manchester. Spent so many years going here. Staff were always friendly and the boss Howie is a nice bloke. Not been in years as I now live in Portsmouth. I really miss the place!!!

The DJ is so rude! He wouldn't play any of our songs (there was 11 of us) I asked if he could let me know if we will be on soon as there was about 5 other people in the venue, his mannerisms and attitude towards me was very offensive and rude. He refused to play us , considering this is a karaoke bar. I approached the manager to talk about it and he was super lovely and had a word with the DJ. He then played my song to sing but before I sang he made an announcement whilst I was on stage basically telling the whole bar I'd complained to the manager. Absolutely rude! The bar staff and door staff was so lovely. Drinks was served quickly and had some nice conversations with them. It's a shame one person can spoil the mood and night. I won't be going back which is a shame as the other staff was lovely.

A nice place to have fun with friends. Music was a bit too loud but okay after you get used to it. Plenty of choice of songs. On the other hand, the blonde tall female staff who has a permanent look of disgust on her face seems like has a problem on serving females making them wait on purpose while serving men who go get a drink way after. My friends and I tested this theory and made a drinking game out of it 😂 I think no one would force you to work there love, but if you are, blink twice next time 😉

This is a pretty reasonable late night drinking spot. And we were out in a Christmas day and had lots of fun. It was enough space around to be able to have a dance. Not sure how long the key was to get onto the karaoke but we would not interested anyway!

Amazing venue! Good Karaoke set up. Visited here with work colleagues and the atmosphere was brilliant! Staff behind the bar were really friendly and extremely helpful. I didn't get up on the stage for Karaoke myself but next time I am in Manchester I might give this place another try with a go on the karaoke myself 🎤 😄 Drinks are served in plastic glasses for what I can only presume are safety reasons. Staff are not stingy when pouring the shots, as you can see from the attached 🤣

This place is actually lovely, atmosphere is great and drinks aren't expensive for Manchester. Staff are fast and give great service. The massive let down however, is anyone in the building can remove songs from the que. You could put a song and wait but never get the chance to sing it. Karoke is great when you get the opportunity to sing a song.

Vina on a Friday night is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. It’s like lightning in your liquid soul. Vina is the best karaoke place period. You will come alive.

Super duper busy! Don't expect to sing the song you request within an hour of submitting it after 8pm on a Fri or Sat night, absolutely chocka! Had some fun times in there but be prepared to spend a good few hours and a fair bit on drinks

Absolute disgrace this karaoke bar. The guy taking money agreed to let me and my friends in for £3 each but overcharged (took payment for 4 people even though I told him I only wanted to pay for myself), our other friends following behind us and the guy then took another payment off me without my consent! I asked for a refund as he illegally took money off myself to which the response from the “manager” was “your friends can pay you back in a drink”. This place takes advantage of young vulnerable women!! AVOID!!

Terrible. I came in at 1am, paid the entry fee and immediately lined up my song. Got till 3 am, my song STILL hadn't come on. My friends who had put their song on AFTER me had got their song on before, and at 3 am my still still wasn't on. Waited 2 hours for a karaoke song, by which time I was fed up and left, didn't even get my song. Absolutely absurd, the DJ has said to my friend that too many songs had come on by 'Greg', and they'd removed it. We tried to explain to them that it was a different Greg (which it was) and they didn't believe us. Never ended being able to Kareoke. NEVER RETURNING.

Awful experience….been here quite a few times in the past and had an okay time so decided to go Thursday 21st and the bouncers who I have not seen there before would not let me and my friend in. We were completely sober and politely walked up and were told last entry has gone at half 2, which was a complete lie. We walked off and tried another place but that was shut. So we walked back past and as walked past bouncers were letting in a group of 6/7 ppl who were mainly girls. I said why can they get in and he lied and said they had stamps. After that he was trying escalate a fight and taking his vest of to say come around the corner so we let him know he is a disgrace. Such a shame because I like this place but this felt like a racial thing because me and my friend were of colour. Never going again!

Had an amazing time here on Saturday night as part of my husband's 40th celebrations. Free entry, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff who remembered drinks orders and offered service with a smile. The karaoke element was easy to sign up for on an app, and the songs rolled on. Atmosphere was electric, old and young welcomed and everyone having a top night. Would definitely recommend, SO much better than Orchid Lounge.

This can either be 5 star or 1 star depending on what type of person you are. Seems popular with a waiting list the NHS would be enviable of. Only negative is the plastic beakers ur drinks get put into

Amazing place, very welcoming... was treated straight away by the bar staff who politely asked what drink I wanted- followed by a very interesting conversation about Manchester night life. As I scouser, I wouldn’t know too much. The DJ, was incredible, good music taste, friendly conversation, and gave me and the girls an incredible night out. Would 100% come back here again for the great music, laughs and sing alongs.

Our first night out in Manchester last night and we decided to go for karaoke, WOW! Despite being the only group in there at the time the atmosphere was amazing! The bar staff were absolutely amazing going above and beyond for us and their hospitality and customers service was absolutely impeccable throughout the night! The drinks were delicious and we will definitely be back soon!

This is a fabulous venue. Enormous menu - I’m talking drinks and songs!!! Can’t wait to go back. What a place. The kind of place that makes you just love to be a life - makes you feel grateful for the world and the wonderful people in it. And music!!!! Sweet music. Music everywhere!!!!! Cheer to that!

Had a fantastic night out here. Bar staff got the orders wrong a couple of times, but it was fine. Really friendly atmosphere, with everyone cheering everyone on, rather than just paying attention to their groups.

  • 4/5 Mark B. 2 years ago on Google
Undoubtedly the best place I have ever sung 'I Will Survive' after a few drinks. In fact, the only place I've ever sung it - and I use the word 'sung' very loosely - but no matter; the group of people I was with all had a great time. The DJ looked a bit miserable, which I found surprising, as I'm sure he'd never heard anyone sing 'I Will Survive' in his bar before... A rival for the world's finest venues or the grand final of The Voice is it is not, but for a cheeky end to a good night out, I think it's well worth a visit 👍

  • 1/5 Georgia B. 2 years ago on Google
I would strongly advice anyone to AVOID this place. Came here a few weeks ago with my partner and someone unfortunately spat in his drink just as we bought it so I informed the bar manager who proceeded to shout at me “if you’ve had your drink spiked then it’s your fault for leaving it unattended” and “if you want another one you’ll have to pay for it”. Never received such appalling customer service in my life and quite clearly victim blaming is more in their interest than customers safety.

This is always the place I’ll drag my mates to. I love the atmosphere, but the staff are awful. Of course with anywhere there’s exceptions, some staff are lovely, but overall my experience with the staff has been shocking. Experience 1 - I went with my mate on a quiet Thursday, just the 2 of us. We queued a song for the karaoke as soon as we got in. After a drink, a group of girls walk in. We’re waiting for our song and the next thing we know these girls are doing their song, who clearly queued it after us. I went to ask the DJ how many songs until we’re up, and he said 12. I got counting down the songs and after 7 songs I went to double check how many songs were left. I got told 10 songs. I told him how he said 12 songs 7 songs ago, and he laughed and told me to buy him a beer and he’ll put us on. Experience 2 - a group of us went in on a busy Saturday night. We had to queue to get in, expected, and security were amazing, they were all really nice and friendly. I go straight to the bar and order a round of baby Guinness. I was being served by a guy with long hair, who I presume is the manager. He just looked me straight in the eyes and said “no”. I asked why and he wouldn’t give me a reason. The customer in front of me had just been given a baby Guinness. I asked him again why, told him that another customer just had one, and he said “no. I decide what I’m giving you. If you don’t like it go away”. So off I walk to another bar tender and order a round of baby Guinness. She smiled and started to pour them without hesitation. Then the guy who refused them went to her, told her to stop, and told the entire bar staff not to pour baby Guinness. The girl apologised, said she doesn’t know why she can’t serve them, and offered me other shots instead. Experience 3 - I returned the Monday after, still annoyed about the whole baby Guinness refusal and the rudeness of the management. I went to the bar, ordered a drink, and after a while asked if I could have a copy of their complaints procedure. They literally laughed in my face and said no. So basically great atmosphere, great security, dodgy DJs, and rude management.

Have spent so much money in here over the years but on our last visit half of our group didn’t get in as there were ‘too many males inside’. Half of us had arrived 2 mins earlier in a separate taxi and had already paid £15 in entry between us and bought a round before we had to leave as the rest of our friends couldn’t get in. It was absolutely dead inside and it was a pretty even split between male and female, the security had just decided they weren’t getting in and that was that. Biggest waste of £30 for less than 5 mins in the bar.

Better than Siam Orchid. Get in early and request your tunes. Can stay here all night, good vibes decent security. Reasonable drink selection and prices. Class.

Decent night for a group of 3 - 4. Can take a while to get your turn on weekend nights. Also the floor was sticky. However this could be spilt drinks.

Really fun karaoke bar! Drinks were reasonable and selection of songs were good. Staff were friendly but bartender with the pony tail seemed too overly keen which gives off the wrong vibe

I had such a good time here but unfortunately my sister was constantly harassed by this creepy man. HOWEVER! The security guards were so amazing and escorted him and later his friends out of the bar, so we could continue the night. I'm so grateful for their help and that they constantly had an eye out for any weirdos. Thank you so much Vina for making it a safe space for women to enjoy themselves, other than that it was an amazing night!

Dj/host doing a terrible job. Kept passing the mic to a group of very drunk people without checking names . One guy with 5 different names got the mic 5 times in a row

  • 1/5 H M. 1 year ago on Google
Used to be good back in the day. Went there a week ago and it was absolute chaos. Many drunk people, 0 for atmosphere. It seems like they started refurbishing it and left it half way. Because it looks like an underground garage, the floor is all cement and that mess in no way can meet health and safety standards. The bar is run by kids, I don't think that I have seen one person in charge and everyone looked barely 18. Some cocky white guy was serving me that looked like bad version of Backstreet Boys. The bar was busy and the staff seemed like they didn't even care, were so slow that I've planned to order drinks for my whole group, changed my mind and left after finishing one drink. This place was not worth my money! Anyone interested, there is another proper Karaoke bar just opposite.
