4.5 Star. The location is very convenient, city center location. The decor is nice. Staff is very nice. I like the soup, rich with tomato 🍅 and smell good with the herbs 🌿. Just a small recommendation, the butter is far too much and a waste, can consider small portion for butter with soup, with refill if needed. Rib eye steak is well cooked. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with salt or rose salt, that’s why deduct for 0.5 point. Mushroom is good, and I like the source comes with the veggie. To be honest this is a little bit too much for one person. Haven’t order any alcoholic drinks, but definitely will try next time.

Beautiful, stylish, elegant old British Pub in Manchester City Centre. One of the very first places I tried when I moved to Manchester and, 12 years later, I keep drinking and eating in here, and I have brought many friends too: they all love it, because it is also welcoming, friendly and inclusive.

An excellent Nicholson's pub in a beautiful old bank building. First visited with Martin Meerkat back in 1996 when several such bank conversions were taking place in the area. Used to pop in to see Jeff and the footie results. Excellent real ale but at city centre prices..£5+. Good food but also fairly expensive at £15+ for a main. There is a pie meal deal with a pint at certain times.

It's not specific to just the bank but the cost to go out and drink is getting so high now. £6 a pint and similar for a small glass of wine. This is our usual spot when meeting old work colleagues because it's good location in the centre, and you can talk without having to shout like many other bars in the vicinity. It is getting the the point of needing a refresh overall good pub and recommend.

This is a fantastic pub in a not so great location Morley Street bit tucked away . The food is OK just typical pub food . A little over priced for what you get . The building itself is is amazing full of character

Lovely fish finger butty and fast service. 0% draft Heineken is not included in the lunchtime meal deal of a meal and a drink (even though cheaper than all of their other draft alcoholic beers), which is disappointing as I was looking forward to a pint (as far as I'm aware, the Bank are still one of the only few who serve 0% on draft and not in bottle/can). Docked a couple of points as a result and in the hope that management included it in future.

Food was amazing. We had Vish as our waiter, great recommendations and really personable. Would go back in a heart beat. The atmosphere was super chilled and the food was delicious.

Excellent food, good choice of beers, all reasonably priced. Good service from friendly staff. The Bank itself is ideally placed for a visit to the gallery, the library and the city centre. We'll definitely go again.

Fantastic bar/restaurant in the centre of Manchester. Have been there a few times, always nice the next time. Nice high ceilings but what you expect in an old bank! Hope to go back soon next time we are over from Ireland.

Food was really tasty, we were a party of 4 and everyone said their food was excellent. No complaints at all and good for the price too. Only downside, kitchen closes quite early (8.30pm I think it was) so our starters came out along with the mains and sides, would’ve have preferred them to be spaced out, but that’s the only niggle. Staff very friendly and helpful, would go again

Accepted a booking for 10 last minute. Very grateful and fantastic food. Staff were top notch. One of the party fainted (long day...) and the staff looked after him very well. Can't knock anything about the experience. Will definitely visit again. Thank you!

Very nice interiour. Lots of space to sit down and enjoy beer and foof here. Nicholsons standards for the food. A good choice. Camden Hells for Uk like brand of lager. My choice.

A gem of a pub. Really nice interior with a good atmosphere. Excellent choice of real ales and lagers. I was also very impressed with the choices of gins on offer. The bar staff were also very knowledgeable of all aspects of what they were serving. Would definitely return.

Stopped in for a pint while we waited for reservations at a nearby restaurant. Good selection of real ales, but not much choice for darker ales. Although the double porter that was on, was very nice.

We went to the Bank for a Family Christmas party. We had a fabulous time. Dom and his team were excellent. The food was brilliant and the staff were amazing.

Beer is really good, reasonably priced and staff are friendly. Food needs a lot of work. Cheese and ham toastie arrived almost cold and the "cheddar cheese" was dripping out of the sandwich like wet spray cheese.

The Bank has been a feature of Manchester city centre for decades. Names for the buildings previous use. Now with a modern layout and part of the Nicholson group. Plenty of tables to accommodate couples to groups, or private parties. Good selection of beers, and plenty of food choices. Its modern generic decor and large open floorplan may result in a lack of atmosphere, for those who like cosy or traditional, but others will be more than happy with the clean and spacious surroundings.

Mulled wine and mulled cider. Lovely ambiance and plenty of space. Great venue for meeting friends or colleagues.

Allegedly award winning pies not sure who the other competitors were. Our steak and pale ale pies contained stewing steak . Looked nice thick lattice pastry yet with a fair amount of grissel. The veg was equally disappointing with stringy beans and tasteless peas. Not worth the over £15 a head cost when same pies are cheaper with a drink during the week

Beautiful place inside they have kept lots of original decor features. It is very big and spacious inside but due to the size it has to be busy for atmosphere. Still well worth a visit 🙂

We were Looking for a place to have a lunch and that was the best food which we had so far in Manchester. As usually in pubs we were expecting some frozen tasteless bits, but we couldn’t be more wrong. The chicken schnitzel was so good and delicious. Portions were very filling and in good size, drinks were nice too. Highly recommend!

The ground floor of the the early 19th century Portico Library provides a wonderful setting for a cosy but elegant pub with a solid selection of beer and dishes. Dark beer is available in the form of the omnipresent Guinness. Vegan and vegetarian options are available like the Burger with beyond meat. A rock solid choice you can't go wrong with. A clear recommendation!

The pies are really good and worth tasting and the halloumi fries were very good. The staff was very welcoming and quick to bring food and take the dishes when we were finished. Really good environment and open space.

Lovely architecture but inside it kind of had the feeling of a Wetherspoons, meaning nothing special, quirky or particular welcoming. I guess an atmosphere makes a difference and when we went it was empty. The bar tender didn't look too enamoured to see us as I think he was going to close up and it wasn't even 10 pm. As a beer drinker the selection want very interesting and again it felt like a Chain making a token gesture.

Lovely place. Enjoyed my vegan burger

Not been in here for years, large open space with high level seating and tables to match. Good atmosphere for the time if day, and one of the few remaining bars in the area. Prices as you expect for the city centre. A Nicholson's bar chain.

Quiet for a Saturday afternoon. No loud music, which was a plus, no football, brilliant. Staff pleasant. Toilets clean.

We went in here towards the end of Friday night. There were pretty much us and small other table occupied. The bar was nice, the staff were friendly and we got served very quick (so nothing like an actual bank)

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
