Good spoons in an outstanding location. Just across from a 42 Bus Line stop with the same (slightly cheaper) prices as the Ford Madox up towards the university. Can get quite busy at the weekends but usually never rammed. Lots of seating from 2 people to 6 people tables available

Pleasant service at the bar, unlike the unfriendly service from the app. The male server did not have a good work.attitude. The American burger was good, and the beer wasn't too bad. Quite possibly the end of the barrel.

Very spacious. My pizza knives was wobbly because part of the protective case/ handle was chipped the athe base. The pizza was great for the price and the service quick and nice. I visited midday on Saturday. Around me was a family with a toddler, three retired mates and what I assume were 'locals'.

The manager Baldylocks and his two door bears are a 'hospitality' joke. Never before have I been warned to get my drinks drunk. I don't know what training there doing at the 'not so' great central but it needs a revamp. Talk about lacklustre management, and dire customer service. Clueless. 5 years ago this was a spoons, and the people that worked here were happy to be working there. Now, it's full of grunting bicker types that add nothing to the customers they serve. Ring the changes Tim

Had a vegetarian breakfast. The sausages were as dry as anything. I couldn't swallow the sausages so I had to leave them. Was a total waste of money. The bottomless coffee ☕ was nice enough though.

Big room low ceiling + outside seating. Real ales and staff good. Standard spoons menu.

Breakfast Menu is good with promotion price, but the coffee is not 99p just normal price £1 45? Comparison to the other wetherspoons that allows the lower hot drinks promotion price.

Food was good and great value, however had to wait for the hot drinks machine to be filled with milk (waited for a while before they helped) having asked and mentioned this. Also when leaving, I noticed I had chewing gum stuck to my trousers. Disgusting, not clean and left me angry! Hence my 2* review.

The place was very busy and it took a little while to get served at the bar but the food arrived very quick, fare price for standard pub food

Never been in a weatherspoons before ,it was in good location around the corner from My sons new uni accommodation . I was amazed at the £1.50 coffee and free refills . We all had a meal and got a drink as part of our meal. The soup tasted home made and all the food was very good ,served quickly and with good manners from all staff, would definitely go to another weatherspoons again look out for further reviews

Well, it is cheap... Ate here after what must have been a very busy weekend. Pizza out of stock, fish out of stock. Eventually settled on double cheeseburger and all day brunch. Cheeseburger came with half a dozen cold, miserable chips. Complained and issue fixed quickly. Brunch OK for the price but only lukewarm. All in all it's food and drink but don't expect much except value. I like Wetherspoons but won't be rushing back to this one, sorry.

Plenty of students the younger set and local lumpenfolk use this place...the menu is aimed at your Sun reader and food is ready qsoon after orderimg and to an acceptable standard; and priced very economically in these straitened times. It is a large room with one or two tables outside but the road is vey busy making it viable only to the embattled cigarette smoker. The gents toilets are a bit smelly but what do you expect in a large cheap and very cheery pub?

Ordered all day brunch- they didn't bring it to me whilst I was sat with my mates. They ate all their food I still hadn't had mine. We went up to tell them about it they said a fresh one would be done soon- it wasn't done soon it took another 20 mins which they needed to be reminded about. I also asked for no beans but they brought it over with beans. It's unacceptable as the place wasn't even busy just pure laziness. Hope this communication actually gets through to their thick brains.

I ordered a large traditional breakfast and coffee, it was £8.50. I had to get my own coffee at a machine but you can refill it if you want, no charge. The breakfast was 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 3 hash browns with beans. 1 very small solitary fried mushroom? 2 pieces of toast. No black pudding or tomatoes. It was cooked well though and I didn't have to wait for it. It was very quiet but it was early Sunday morning.

Good food, fresh and hot and usually pretty fast! Drinks are standard - cheap and cheerful. In a student area so can be rammed. It's a spoons that doesn't really have a lot of character, so best just for a quite bite and cheap drink.

Went with my mum for mothers day and she had Mangalorean roasted cauliflower & spinach curry and she loved it and cherry pepsi and i had BBQ chicken, bacon and cheddar cheese panini and chips with cherry pepsi 😋😋🥰❤ and for desserts we had Warm Mini cookie dough sandwich with ice cream and salted Caramel filling and i had mini Warm chocolate brownie with ice cream and belgian chocolate sauce 😋😋❤🥰 and it was delicious and the staff was really polite and they was really good because i took my 1 year old son and asked politely for a high chair and they brought one to the table for me and my son loved it too x

Somehow everything tastes better here, although it's a chain - but it's better. Clean, nice big windows, good location. Always full. Lovely but not enough staff.

Lovely staff, food as always comes very quickly. And this wetherspoons has a different vibe, more chill and quiter than others.

Great weatherspoons every member of staff bends over backwards to help, it can get noisy because it's a student area. In fact when it's like that it's more like the greatest show on earth, always good though, can't praise it enough

Food was cold and took ages to come. Area we sat was very cold, it was close to the door, however, there was nowhere else to sit. There was a draft coming from underneath the windows. Myself and 3 other mature students had planned to stay there to work on our assignments, due to the freezing issue in there we left. We didn’t send the food back as it was too cold to sit and wait for it to be replaced plus we were hungry. I had a word with the lady who was responsible for taking comments and basically intimated it was our fault for sitting by the door! Will give it a go again but will find somewhere warm to sit….shame the 1st time experience was not great.

Lively Spoons with a good mixed crowd of people. Bar staff are really friendly and welcoming. Good place to go for a coffee and sit outside to people watch.

  • 4/5 Lyn B. 1 year ago on Google
Not one of the more attractive 'Spoons I've been in,and the service was pretty slow-mainly due to bar staff only serving at one end of the bar and not venturing down to the other end. However, as usual, drinks are amazingly reasonable and the reason we always use Wetherspoons wherever we go.

Went relatively early as had an early appointment nearby. Service quick and efficient. Pub was spotless, food reliably predictable and good value which is why love spoons isn't it?

Great food, even better experience - ran out of an item, so manager Himself came to apologise and asked if what we would like to do.

Proper good spoons. Come down on a Wednesday night for the pub quiz with some mates and have a solid time. Drinks are cheap and times are great

Great place, just opposite the Sainsbury's store in Fallowfield, but for me, taking 20 minutes to walk. Nice inside and good people too. I'll come again pretty much soon.

My very clumsy person accidentally ordered the wrong drink AND spilled my other drink. The manager Steve was a very nice and comprehensive person who replaced my drinks in a heartbeat. Thank you very much for being so welcoming, and the bouncer were actually lovely as well. Recommend this place 10/10 :)

Food is alright but definitely on a subpar level compared to most Wetherspoon’s I’ve been in. Not sure if this is due to the area being primarily students and quite busy.
