Good old school boozer near Oxford road railway station. Very good selection of changing guest ales. Bit of a rockers vibe but not sweaty. Outside smoking area .Recommended 🍻 🚊

Probably my favourite pub in Manchester. Friendly team and clientele. Relaxed atmosphere, great music and their pizzas are rather lovely too

Great atmosphere, loved the music. The staff where all nice and chatty. Everyone in there seems very chill and friendly, not rowdy in the slightest. Most pleasant evening in Manchester I've had in a long time.

A well kept pub with a good selection of real and craft ales. There are plenty of seats and the juke box plays heavy rock/metal.

Great rock pub ideally situated down the steps from Oxford Road Station. Decent range of real ales and ciders, reasonably priced for a city centre pub. £11.70 for a pint of flat cap,(excellent) and a double vodka and tonic

Proper old fashioned pub. Cheerful greeting as we came in from the guy behind the bar, beer tasted good as did the pork scratchings and scampi fries. Pub was clean and tidy, as were the toilets. What more do you need when stopping for an afternoon pint? Can't comment on the pub grub as we didn't have any.

Wow...really cool pub. Real ales, loud heavy rock music. You are out of place if you haven't got tats, black dyed hair....or ginger! Huge great boots buckles, chains and zips !! I didn't have any of the above...but loved it!! Such a good vibe. And the real ales, especially "Trooper" are excellent...

Took me right back to my student days. It was one of the best pubs in Manchester, and not much has changed - apart from the 'background' music ( I'm being ironic here. It was more like 'foreground' music). Death Metal was never my scene. Great atmosphere though.

I remember being here once many years ago. I don’t know why I haven’t been more often. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of rock, hate metal so grinned and bore the music blasting out. The music doesn’t take away from the atmosphere though. The crowd is friendly and eclectic. The beer is very decent; I had cask (a lot of which is mainstream) but it was excellent. The Guinness was very decent too. Prices reasonable. We decided to have a pizza, which at the price point was excellent. We ended up spending about 3 hours here, and I have to say I left happy. A proper decent boozer with great staff, that’s far too often over-looked.

Great pub, book tables in advance, has beer garden, great range of drinks, you can order pizza, great range of veggie and meaty pizzas. Toilets available, Juke box, great music, lovely people. Outdoor covered smoking area.

Whilst the music can be too loud indoors it has perhaps the most decent outdoor smoking area in Manchester for privacy Can get very busy though which means that it can take quite some time to get served

Cracking pub for rock music and dejection of drinks including real ale. No football shirts though.

Top pub i have been going to for years. Nice atmosphere and great selection of ales/beers. Jukebox (usually heavy metal) and pooltable. Dont forget the “no loitering” sign on the wall opposite!

I went in, to sample the pizza, with the January free pizza offer. The pizza was decent (Nduja meat feast was excellent/pepperoni, bit light on the Pep). Staff and atmosphere were great. I'll be visiting more often. Great tunes.

I have been going in the Salisbury since a teenager! We visited before watching Corey Taylor gig last weekend and was chuffed to get 25% off pizza and 10% off drinks before the gig! Food was lovely and best pint of cider I have ever had, the cheddar valley was like silk! Great music in the venue also. Good price on 3 jagerbombs for £7.50! We went in again on Sunday for post weekend drinks, always feel like home when we come back to Manchester 🤘

Excellent selection of drinks. Quality ale served with care and a discount for members of CAMRA. Spirit selection is extensive as is the choice of mixers. The music is, if you like heavy rock /metal, brilliant and chosen via the jukebox. In summary an excellent choice for the whiling away of an evening.

A great traditional pub. Good selection of real ales alongside other drinks. Don't expect gastro pup meals (but a good selection of pizzas). Wonderfully old-fashioned pub decor (if you can call it that) but people from all walks of life contentedly rub shoulders here. I first drank here 30 years ago and I don't think it's changed at all. Long may it continue!

Good rock/metal pub. Playing good music and with good beers on tap. Very busy in the evenings but a really good atmosphere. Don't bother trying to use the juke box however as its been overloaded by previous songs.

Great atmosphere, great prices for the centre if town too. A real gem. The staff are lovely and the music is excellent, and they have a nice discount if you've just come from a music gig in town. If you haven't yet, give this place a visit.

A great pub we've been to many times over the last 30 years or so. Great atmosphere, bar staff and music!!

Fantastic pub. I honestly loved it here. The fact you serve pizza right up until 11pm is genius, great music and vibe. The only downside was that we paid full price for £30 worth of pizza then sat down and saw the flyer about 25% off with gig tickets. The girl behind the bar said she couldn't do anything about it as we'd already paid. Maybe some clearer promotion on that would be helpful, we could have saved £7/£8. 😔

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
