We went there for a Sunday lunch and unfortunately it was hugely disappointing. We were swiftly taken to a table when we arrived but then waited for over 20min for anyone to take our order. We decided to go for cauliflower wings (nothing special and quite tough) and soup of the day which was roasted vegetable (definitely was expecting a nicer soup at a restaurant - this tasted like blended undercooked supermarket soup mix), and then the roast dinner, one with aubergine steak and the other with potato cake. Majority of the vegetables were extremely bland, and if it wasn’t for the gravy it would’ve been very difficult to eat it. Definitely had higher expectations from a vegan eatery. The cocktails were quite nice and were probably the highlight of the meal.

Came here to celebrate my Wife’s birthday with afternoon tea…we’ve wanted to go for a long time so we’re super excited to go. We both felt we were most certainly not let down - absolutely fabulous! Great service, friendly, warm, great decor and most of all, the afternoon tea was super delicious! Wow! Just the right amount of food - we were both full afterwards - the cakes were divine! Thanks for hosting us guys, can’t wait to come back for more!

Delicious vegan food with plenty of gluten free options. We were only visiting Manchester for one night and I found a lack of gluten free vegan options in most places (it was one or the other in most places). This was one of the nicest meals I’ve had. It’s in a lovely location also. Def worth trying if you’re in Manchester

Fantastic first ever visit to the Allotment Vegan Eatery. We arrived about 2pm and were met by very friendly and polite staff. Neither of us are Vegans or Vegaterians. We just enjoy eating different foods. As this was our first time, we opted for a sharing platter with a bottle of house red wine. We both really enjoyed the platter and wine. Both of the desserts were really tasty. The Chocolate Tart is to die for. A very relaxed late lunch was had in a nice relaxing environment. Our bill came to £58.70 which included a discretionary 10% service charge. The only minor area for improvement was that the waiter could have explained the items on the platter. We would definitely visit again.

Amazing plant based restaurant that does amazing food, drinks and afternoon tea!! We had an afternoon tea which was fabulous! It was so filling and the choices were varied and delicious. Can’t recommend the afternoon tea enough! The decor here is beautiful and very boho and the staff are super friendly and smiley. If you’re a hungry vegan in Manchester or wanting to give plant based a go, I’d recommend this place.you won’t be disappointed. X

If you take them an aubergine in on a Friday lunchtime you get 10% off your meal. It’s a great system and we love them for it. Had the sharing platter and a couple of extra dishes and was absolutely stuffed last time. Word of warning that they add a 12.5% service charge direct to the bill, but don’t tell you, so no need to be rounding any numbers up. Used to be down the road on the main drag but have moved round the corner to a much quieter spot. Clean toilets.

We went on Sunday evening, when there was a half price offer on food. This was very economical and great value. The place was busy obviously due to the huge discount. We ordered starters n a main each. The starters came within 2 minute! So fast. Main took a while as obviously they are cooked individually. Cobra was refreshing as usual. The lamb in my dish was succulent but dry in the byriani. However you do get a separate veg curry with the dry dish, but the curry tasted over sweet. Enjoyed your meal. Then you get a shot of something similar to baileys when you pay your bill! Lovely end to our meal. You may need to book as it was very busy constantly.

The positives - staff were really nice despite seeming very stressed in a half empty restaurant. The restaurant looks great, has a good vibe and atmosphere. The negatives - The food we all had was incredibly basic given the price. This level of vegan food might have flown ten or more years ago when veganism wasn't as popular and it was harder to come by. But these days with incredible options on offer in every city, the food at The Allotment really does not measure up at all and simply is not worth the price at all.

First time i have ever had an encounter with a fast food place, anyways, tonight i visited Church's Chicken Guyana(VREED EN HOOP BRANCH) im so peeved with the customer service there, before i even join the line to purchase my stuff, i ask one of the girl, do you guys have bombers? Before she could have responded, I watched that girl open the stuff to make sure that they have.... went to the cashier to make my purchase, "I would like to have 2 servings of bombers" she gonna watch me straight in my face and say they don't have, when i already asked if they have. I've requested to see a supervisor ( because she lie and the tone in which she answered me) one of the girl responded she cant come now (now tell me to all god what is that), the same person that was cashing came out at the set time, one of her peers asked her why you say that it don't have bombers, she gonna respond "we don't have bombers, note that came alone with a whole lot of attitude and hand movements" (like girl you really wanna be like that) #1 the customer service is really bad, they have a bunch of stuff advertising and nun of them in stock, the tone that the girl had who was cashing was really terrible!! Im not begging for the stuff! Where my money is spending i deserve the best of the best!! Im not even getting to tag church's page 😡 #concernedcustomer Customer satisfaction Not even ketchup they had!!!!!!!!!!!

It's rare to go to a restaurant and want to try literally everything on the menu! My family and I went here during September for an early Sunday lunch. All the covid stuff was well organised and there was plenty of space between tables Friendly, attentive service, too! From the brunch menu, I ordered the buffalo cauliflower burrito. Seriously great flavours in this thing - even if the cauli was a little too crunchy for my taste. In truth the highlight of the dish was a small bowl of well-seasoned beans with homemade tortilla chips. Delicious! Everyone else at the table enjoyed their dishes - most opted for the breakfast plate. The tofu 'bacon' is a game changer! Some ordered 'tapas' dishes and I'd love to come back one evening and work through the list. Overall, it makes me sad that I live over two hours away from here. This is exactly the kind of place to bring sceptical omnis to show them how good vegan food can be.

Tasty food, on the pricy side considering the unusually small portion size that couldn't even feed light eaters like us. Mains priced at £15 each, our male members commented that they could easily finish 10 portions without feeling full. We ended up going elsewhere for our "second dinner". Would recommend for extremely light eaters or anyone able to afford multiple mains. 😉

Visited for dinner whilst in Manchester for a concert at Bridgewater Hall. Fabulous vegan food and they were very good regarding allergies. Had butternut squash salad and tofu skewers with satay sauce to start then cauliflower harissa stew and banana blossom fish n chips with minted peas. Absolutely delicious...will definitely revisit.

Absolutely love the decor and vibe of this place. Great variety of vegan foods, full of flavour. We got to try the miso mushrooms, cauli wings, risotto and tofu laksa. Portions were average- not too big/small. I'd definitely recommend the miso mushrooms and the lemon ricotta with the risotto was lovely, nice and light. Service was excellent: friendly and relaxed. Only issue was that we found it difficult to get in. After trying a walk-in we were told to come back the next day and assured that a walk-in would be fine. When we came for lunch we were told that walk-ins weren't being accepted. Eventually we called and booked for dinner and were able to get in. It was third time lucky and I'd definitely come back (making sure to book in advance!)

Cute little place, great location and pretty décor. The menu was fantastic, I was spoilt for choice. My daughter and I chose to order various starters and share. I am so glad we did, it was amazing. The main meals looked fab too. Went Saturday lunch time, not too busy. Service not the best, but not the worst,. It wouldn't put me off going again. We had five starter's, two dips and two half lager's it cost £50. I would recommend.

We were basically left to our own devices, and it was fairly clear that the staff just wanted to get the close down done. No check back done on any of our courses. There was only 2 staff on so the wait was understandable, but what I couldn't justify was both members of staff leaving the restaurant unattended for 10 mins at one point, every single table could have just walked out and no one whould have noticed.... one of the other guests wanted some salt and had to shout into the back to get someone's attention. I have been once before and loved it, came again for an anniversary with my boyfriend, and won't be coming back as it's gone downhill. In the end, we asked for our bill, and the gent that was dressed in all black was so monotone and quite standoffish reinforcing the vibe that they wanted us out (2130). Staff didn't even say goodbye as we left. It's not worth the £68 price tag.

What a great place!! I'm a veggie rather than vegan but on a recent day trip to Norwich I looked this place up & wanted to try it out. It really is fabulous food! Who needs meat - the flavours are amazing and great portions. Will definitely revisit next time we're in Norwich. I encourage anyone - meat eaters, veggies and everyone else to try this place!

On my first trip to Norwich I found this lovely little restaurant. My luck was in as there was a cancellation which meant there was a table free on a Saturday evening. The food was simply amazing. I had the philly cheese melt sandwich and a side of coconut topped panko fried tofu. Taste, texture, presentation was all perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone, vegan or not. The food simply beats anything I've had for years.

Visited this beautiful little place in the city centre.. the inteor is relaxing and modern. The service and product knowledge was exceptional we vegans like to know every little thing about our food. Took a none vegan with me and she was blown away by the choice and flavours of the amazing food. Its very hard to find somewhere where you can relax as a vegan with friends and not made to feel ODD OR FREAKY because of our diet choices. I can't praise this place enough a lot of thought has gone Into this place to make it the COMPLETE PACKAGE.

I think that if a restaurant is trying then they should be supported in refining their craft. The world needs more restaurants like this but the mains were disappointing and genuinely I cook better at home. The good bits are the sesame tofu, very tasty, the cauliflower wings, out of this world, tofu curry, delicious, jackfruit tacos good also. The sauces they use like mayo, tartare etc all outstanding Sesame mayo needs to be bottled and sold it's absolutely mind-blowing The desserts are both delicious especially the hazelnut slice. Gets your chocolate fix. The bad bits were pretty bad :( The fish and chips - avoid, The use of banana blossom and seaweed is very clever, I just couldn't stomach the flavours and textures. ramen tasted like nothing, salt and pepper tofu is not like the Chinese one it was very dry and just had some salt and pepper on with some raw spring onion and red chilli. Probably would have been fine with a dip or sauce. The service was warm and friendly but the wait is long between courses. We did arrive a lot earlier than our booking and they accommodated early us with no issues so maybe that was us throwing things off timing wise in the kitchen. The restaurant is nice and clean and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Lots of covid measures which don't interfere with the dining experience at all. Pricewise- we ordered 12 small plates, 6 mains, 6 desserts and alcohol which all came to £300 working out at around 50 per head. Without alcohol and especially spirits I'm sure that would be a lot less Overall we did have a good time but there's no excuse for bland food -especially vegan food with all the amazing ingredients, options and resources on offer now. the food wasn't as enjoyable as it should have been and left us all a little disappointed. I have no doubt that the allotment has amazing potential and I would love to go back but given that there were only a couple of mains that were worth ordering I think that I could easily go somewhere cheaper or closer to home for the same or better. Please make your own judgements on it though because I do believe they deserve to do well but that won't happen if people don't try it.

I booked a table online for mine and my fiancee's anniversary as it is a vegan restaurant. We was welcomed with smiles from all members of staff. Our food was something we have never tasted before. Our favourite been the salt and pepper tofu and the mushrooms. Best vegan restaurant I've taken the family to ever. Including our little Yorkshire terrier, who was offered a water bowl on arrival. I wish there was a branch in London as they have a successful formula and a winning combination of fresh ingredients, great menu, ideal atmosphere and friendly service. Just one word of warning, the jack fruit tacos are super spicy if you are not used to hot and spicy foods.

Myself and 3 friends visited on a Thursday night when the restaurant was far from busy, the starters took over an hour to arrive and the main another 30-45 after that. Obviously I don't know what the situation was with takeaways however surely the in house guests should be prioritised? Honestly the wait doesn't bother me so much as the total lack of communication or apology from the staff; if you know customers have been waiting an hour for food, you have to speak to them. Not asking for money off the bill or a complementary round of drinks (though to be honest this was probably warranted), all we need is some communication. The food was nice, but I would have liked larger portion sizes (or at least more rice!) given how long we'd waited and how hungry we all were!

I went to the Allotment a few years back when it was still near the town hall -- I remember having a great time then and was looking forward to going back after all this time. I went this Monday and unfortunately had a thoroughly disappointing experience. The food wasn't bad per se, but was awfully lacking. I ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich, which came with no pickled veg whatsoever, no fresh chilli, no coriander. The Salt'n'Pepper potatoes were just salty, with no hint of the asian fragrance one should expect -- I would also have expected to see some bits of pepper, and maybe onion, amongst those, but there was nothing of the sort. The Asian slaw was a bowl of red cabbage with a British coleslaw-type cream. I sent the whole thing back and was told I would get a replacement, but what came back was exactly the same. My parents had the jackfruit tacos, which said were ok, though looked quite simplistic to me. We then chanced the sticky toffee pudding for dessert: the sauce was ok, and taste in general was along the right lines, but the pudding itself was very dry. On further inspection of the menu and photos from other reviews, I can clearly see that the tacos were actually missing the dips to go with them, and that they were simply covered with loads of fresh red chillis instead of the usual chillis, spring onions and sriracha mayo. I can also see that the Bahn Mi often looks like a completely different -- and much more appealing! -- dish, with proper Asian Slaw on the side, presented in a baguette and with, expectably, the pickled veg which make the Bahn Mi what it is! The atmosphere was rather quiet for a bank holiday Monday, with only a couple of tables full at any one time. Despite this, it was still sometimes difficult to get the attention of the waiting staff, who were at least nice to deal with when they would eventually come over. I'm not sure if they were using a different chef that night, or if they had some shortages of ingredients, or of motivation, but what they produced was thoroughly disappointing. I'm afraid I'm not going to give it another chance, nor can I recommend to anyone to visit at present. Shame.

Booked a birthday lunch here for my partner but left disappointed as the food was bland and unimpressive. We cook vegan food for ourselves at home and we could have done a much better job! The salt and pepper tofu laksa was bland and watery. It didn’t taste of salt and pepper, well it didn’t taste of anything at all. I mentioned this to the waitress and wasn’t met with much other than an empty apology. Should have said something sooner so the dish could have been changed. The dessert of a sticky toffee pudding was unimpressive too. Such a shame as we need more vegan places in Manchester that aren’t just vegan junk food but this was a disappointing visit. Had to ask for the service charge to be removed as the meal wasn’t cheap by any means and we left unhappy.

A lovely Gluten Free find as a bonus. Hidden Gem in Manchester, it’s worth the little walk down the stair to friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and beautiful food. Cappuccino’s are HUGE with wide range of milks, coconut, Almond, Oat... etc. Try the cauliflower wings. They will not disappoint. It’s bright are airy. The second photo doesn’t do the restaurant justice

Absolutely nothing to complain about! Incredible food, I’ve never had better soup! The flavours and composition of the meals is clearly the work of true experts who love what they’re doing. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and attentive, if I remember right we were served by Chloe and I’d like to say a massive thank you to her for a wonderful evening! This place is a true gem and 100% worth a visit (I promise it won’t be your last!!) see you soon! :D

We went early so it was very quiet although there was still a nice atmosphere. The menu was rather limited but what we had was excellent. We felt it was a little pricey, especially the small deserts at £7.50 each! Staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable and provided a great service. As we were leaving, there seemed to be live entertainment setting up so would've liked to have seen it therefore would pay a visit later on next time.

Extremely impressed by this wonderful restaurant. I was looking for a vegan place to hide from the rain and ended up walking in here, so lucky!! The food and service were on the same perfect line with each other. Superb quality of both. I wasn't that hungry so had a starter and side: banana blossom and cauliflower wings and they were both very tasty. It's so difficult to make a choice from the menu. I will be back soon with friends and family.

Really poor service and bland tasting food. We have really been looking forward to eating at the allotment and finally had the time to pop in today. I have to say the manager was so rude and unprofessional. We was overcharged and when we queried it she didn't even apologise just stormed of and then returned saying I have removed the soup and stormed back off! Didn't ask how our food was or our experience and to be fair it wasn't very good! The soup was really good only I had to ask for the bread as they didn't bring it out with the soup and the salad was not good at all for £6.50 was just slapped in a bowl with a bit of balsamic on it. I didn't eat it and was not even asked why! Such a sad shame I would not recommend this place and I will not be returning. Only positive is the decor was beautiful.

The food here was exceptional. As a recent convert to veganism, this was easily some of the best food I have enjoyed in my time as meat/dairy free. Service was quick & food was sensational. Will definitely be returning.

Visited here when it first moved from Stockport and they offered the 7 course tasting menu. Returned yesterday to a new menu where the food was a million miles from what it was. Such a shame as was a really nice place. We ordered a few started and the Tacos from the main. Cauliflower and mushrooms were just deep fried. No taste.. The Tacos were very nice.. i have given the 2 starts for them.. But the price for 6 small pieces of cauliflower and 6 button mushrooms was about £13! definitely not worth it. Lost its experimental tastes and experience.. As a non vegan this was a place i was willing to go to enjoy vegan food but i dont think i will be returning

We ordered a bunch of starters to share, and they were all tasty. The tomato salad was fresh and was a good contrast to all the other cooked food. I thought the different mayos were too tangy , they would have been better with a smooth creamy taste. The restaurant is really well decorated and the service was friendly. This is a great place to visit for vegans and non vegans .

First time I went it was fabulous flavoured food. Although they don't have a children's menu. If you've got vegan adults going at least put on some choice of child food, sausage or nuggets for small kids. Second time I went bloody awful. No taster menu so had to order full dishes. Risky when I brought 2 none vegans. I asked them to try the fish and chips. Its a favourite of mine at home. The banana blossom was wrapped in nori and the batter burnt on it. It tasted horrendous. They're chips were a tablespoon size of potatoes. As no taster menu it was just short of £100 for a selection of plates, none of which were nice. 4 of us ate. My youngest learnt his lesson last time and waited till we finished before getting a bag of chips nearby. Over priced and very pretentious. Would not go back.

We came in for dinner on Friday night and although I rarely leave reviews I wanted to highlight how amazing both the service and food were at The Tipsy Vegan. Staff were really helpful and accommodating when booking over email, and our experience was the perfect balance of friendly and relaxing whilst also being super-efficient with social distancing and COVID-related hygiene measures. The food was delicious, the cocktails were amazing, and the staff and atmosphere were really lovely. The Bao buns and the Coconut Tofu bites were the highlight! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when we are next in the area!

We tried to go for dinner on Friday night but having not booked they could not fit us in right away. We didn't have time to wait but having looked at the menu we didn't want to miss out, so we booked for brunch the next morning. Arrived at 11 on Saturday when it was much quieter and we probably didn't need to have booked. Brunch menu itself only had two choices but the main menu was also available so no problem there. Main menu had plenty of choice and was well labelled so my friend who is gluten free could easily choose. I had the pecan pancakes whilst my friend had beetroot burger and we shared a side of the mac and cheese. Everything delicious and very nourishing for the morning after the night out before! Service very friendly.

Top-notch! One of the most amazing restaurants, vegan or otherwise, that I've ever visited. The place is open, airy, and has a great feel. The staff are friendly and and helpful. And the food? Is incredible. The menu appears to change on occasion, but the selections have taste combinations that are nothing short of spectacular. Do yourself a favour and come here when you get a chance. We mainly came here for our vegan pal, though we were curious to try out some of the dishes, too. Ordering lime and soda proved a poor (and expensive) decision: the soda itself comes in a bottle, meaning there wasn’t any cordial left once the first drink had been consumed. Regarding the Small Plates, the Miso Maple Mushrooms were delightful, while the Cauliflower Wings were average, and the Salt and Pepper Tofu tasteless. I went for the Tofu Ramen, which got boring once I’d eaten the tofu and shiitake mushrooms. There was a giant pak choi that had been plopped into the dish: this took me forever and a day to eat. The desserts were too expensive to consider (and there were only two of them). It’s a spacious restaurant- perhaps a little bare- and the service was on the wooden side. We waited a very long time for the bill, and I had to ask for it in the end. It's not likely that I'd come back.

Friendly staff, and very clean. But the food was a let down. Cauliflower wings were very nice, but salt and pepper tofu was tasteless. Had the banana blossom fish and chips, which was horrible. The fish thing had a horrible texture, and a weird salty lemony taste with soggy batter. The peas were overdone and the plate was swimming in grease. Tried both the desserts, the cheesecake had a horrible seedy chewy topping, and the chocolate slice thing tasted like a squishy fruit bar. Very expensive, small portions, and unpleasant food, so won't be returning.

I actually have no idea why is so highly recommended. Actulally the worst vegan experience I had so far in Manchester. Spicy mayo was the strongest position on menu. Well overpriced, only few bits tasty, even when complain about something still added on the bill, no proper seasonings at all, longtime waiting for food ( wasn't busy ). One star only for a waitress - she was really nice.

  • 3/5 Rebecca M. 3 years ago on Google
This was nice enough and the ambience was really lovely, but I have to say I’ve had much more interesting and flavoursome vegan meals.

  • 4/5 Thomas J. 3 years ago on Google
Interesting meal, showing a lot of promise. But each dish had one element letting it down. For example the seaweed used for the Banana Flower Fish n chips makes it far too salty, the Tamarind Tofu surprisingly tasted of sesame and soy rather than the tamarind. Was a pleasent meal however we have been to more satisfying vegan restaurants.

The food was fantastic. Having been vegan for a year or so, the banana blossom was a bizarre and incredible dish - recreating that seafood flavour so well. But the service was really disappointing. We'd been saving for the 10 course taster with wine pairing as a real treat, and neither of us had been out for a 'fancy' meal before. But apart from the food, nothing about our experience felt particularly special. The service was fine, but not warm or particularly friendly. The food came and went without more than a few words from the staff. They forgot we'd ordered the wine pairing, and asked us four courses in if we were 'alright for drinks?' By then we were a couple of wines behind, so any pretence that each wine was selected to complement our food had gone out the window. So all in all, it felt like a bit of letdown - having none of the magic or special touches that you'd hope for from a £200 meal for two.

  • 5/5 Emma D. 2 years ago on Google
Took us a little while to find as it's a side street you can easily miss, but well worth finding. Smallish menu but with a great variety to choose from. We did small plates to share which is a great way to sample a range of things and get a feel for how consistent/good the food is. Cauliflower wings & miso mushrooms are really good, as are the tacos. Keen to go back and try the mains.

The food here was absolutely divine!!! Best tasting food ever, cooked to perfection. And the dessert! I still have dreams about that chocolate nutty cake, it was like eating pure Ferraro Roche. Probably some of the best vegan restaurant food I've ever eaten. The particular waitress who served us was a bit impatient and could do with learning a little more about customer service though. But it didn't taint the experience. Nice atmosphere and ambiance inside.

  • 1/5 Ruth P. 2 years ago on Google
Very disappointing. The Allotment is listed on the Michelin guide for it's former food quality - which used to be fantastic. The food served yesterday was far from the quality I expected from previous visits. The portions were small and the quality was average at best. The aubergine starter was so pathetically small that it is an insult to charge £7.50 for it. The tofu ramen was near flavourless brown water and again, there wasn't much of it in the bowl. No care and attention was made when plating the food and the courses were all delivered after a significant wait with scant apology. I don't know what has happened here, but the standard has slipped and I can't see myself ever returning unless there is a drastic uptick in quality and service. To top off a dismal experience a member of the waiting staff was quite rude when we brought our concerns about the food to their attention. It's rare that I have ever felt compelled to complain about the quality of food at a restaurant, but when I have the staff have generally been courteous and listened to our feedback to resolve the problem which wasn't the case here. Hearing "well you still ate some of it, so I can't do anything now" pretty much summed up how little anyone seemed to care about the dining experience. I'm just glad I didn't invite any friends along as I would have been deeply embarrassed to have suggested this restaurant.

We came here on the weekend and ordered two three course menus for £25 each. A jug of water and two glasses were provided. Waiters were nice and professional. - starter, cauliflower chicken wing, very tasty by themselves and excellent with the spicy buffalo dip. The best cauliflower wings I've had - starter, satay tofu skewers, nice texture and good taste. Dunk them in satay sauce, then roll them in coriander and peanut crumbs - main, roast with aubergine "steak". A nice selection of red cabbage, parsnips, roast potatoes, chunky roast carrot, gravy, and a bit of aubergine. I'd have like more aubergine with this as it was tasty but very thin and small! - main, laksah soup with rice. Sweet and spicy, a nice dish. Missing the usual wooden soup spoon to help you finish off the soup though. - desert, hazelnut caramel pieces. nice, great presentation. - desert, ginger lemon sorbet with something I've forgotten. Overall pretty nice, but I'd have liked more aubergine for example.

Highly recommend! Food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Firstly, they just pop a jug of water on the table, which is a lovely touch. The server was super friendly and polite, really made the atmosphere warm. I had thw offer of two small plates and a hot drink for £10. Cauliflower Wings and the Mushrooms, with an Aura Chai Latte. Wings were lovely, but a fair bit spicier then I imagined they would be, but I am massively sensitive to spice so someone who likes spice probably wouldn't be fazed at all. The Mushrooms were incredibly delicious and I will be getting them again. (Couple missing on my photo as I'd already dug in 😅) If I had anything negative, it would only be they didn't announce the 10% service charge before the bill. Not a problem on my at all on my purchase but I imagine it could sting some for a larger party. Worth it though!

A lovely lunch here. I really appreciated the waitress rushing to get my order in before 3pm to take advantage of the £12 lunch special. I got the tofu skewers and the roasted butternut squash. For either, the sauces that accompany the dishes are DIVINE. The tofu was crispy enough although I think another skewer would be a bit more filling and justify the cost. The squash was roasted perfectly, so it was easy to cut without being mushy. My hot drink was a chai latte with oat milk. Appropriately spiced, nice big mug to sip. Beautiful plateware and plating. Lovely interior decor. Warning, doesn’t do takeaway as was indicated on Google.

Great place with a lovely staff, especially Nikola and Liam who made my and my friends experience highly enjoyable and made us feel like at home! Bathroom would benefit if it had the mirror, but the food was delicious 🖤 Highly recommending this place due to good vegan food and nice staff!

EDIT: When planning our anniversary date in Manchester, this place was the first and only choice considering how amazing it was every single time. And what a waste of a fantastic place! Not surprised it was empty this time. Menu used to be so varied and exciting, now it was a few basic limited options you could get in many non-veggie restaurants. Service wasn't amazing comparing to other times, didn't feel like you're in a fairly pricey restaurant. We had a bottle of wine that tasted awful, fries, cauliflower wings and tofu laksa. Sides were quite nice but tofu laksa was completely tasteless and rice was definitely from a ready packet (for £15.50!). Shame as it used to be one of our favourite restaurants. Amazing place. We've been there twice so far and we're definitely going to go back. Fancy vegan food in reasonable price, always friendly staff and the most important part, always delicious!

Lovely vegan place with a great ambience, very attentive service and a fantastic selection of dishes. The portions are so generous that it was difficult to get through a starter and a main, so the desserts went home with us.

We went with our pooch to the Doggy Dinner day where the Allotment Vegan Eatery were donating £5 for every 3 course meal they served to a dog charity. The food was of amazing quality, home cooked, very tasty and plenty of it. Good options in the menu. The staff Liam, Silas and Georgea were very friendly helpful and fun. They made a lovely fuss of our pooch. We loved the doggy bag they gave our dog, with lots of toys and homemade treats. Lovely ambience too.

A lovely vegan dinner, light, healthy and filling. We had spicy (very) cauliflower wings, polenta chips and tofu satay as a starter and a roasted broccoli and courgette salad (served cold) and jackfruit tacos (very spicy!). Hazelnut slice was out of this world - very rich though, so perfect for two to share. Our waiter Joshua was very attentive! A clearly popular place as it was very busy on a Tuesday! Will definitely go back!

Lovely food and good variety, great drinks choice and friendly helpful staff not my first visit and won't be my last.

When we arrived we were seated promptly and drinks were ordered and received swiftly too. We then ordered the Cauliflower wings and chips for starters. At first we were only given Cauliflower wings and some sort or salad, which we did not order. After a while this was corrected and we received our starters. The mains we ordered were 2 of the tofu laksa, and for £15.50 each it was hugely disappointing. It was a waterery substance, with a lack of Courgette noodles, served with bone dry rice and stale poppadoms and tasteless battered tofu. I expressed my distaste to the waitress and she told me I could switch meals to something else from the menu. Once she came back to take my order to replace the laksa, she then told me I would be fully charged for both laksa and the meal swap. Just unfortunate really. Wouldn't go again. Over priced and genuinely tasteless.

1st ever visit. Ambience and decor was beautiful. The choice was so good and different. We had starter, main and dessert with wine. Was so good we almost were late to go see Strictly. Attentive and friendly staff but not pushy. We were spoilt for choice so will definitely go again

Had a wonderful anniversary meal here. I ordered the jackfruit tacos and the soup of the day-both were delicious. Service was okay as it seemed they were slightly understaffed but they were very apologetic and comped our drinks which we weren't expecting at all! It's a casual place but the food is very posh so definitely a treat. Would recommend it to anyone who loves vegan food!

The food was decent, nothing to rave about. The tofu was on the salty side, and the jackfruit tacos 🌮 were mostly beans. The food was below my expectations. The dessert was really yummy, save room.

Tofu Laksa Curry was below average with super oily papadum but the cheesecake was very good. Staff looked unhappy, inattentive and bored. I did not like the place and felt an urge to leave the restaurant quickly

I had high hopes entering for this restaurant having looked at the menu on their website before going. There were a few things on the menu I was looking forward to but upon arrival I was soon to learn that the menu had changed but not updated on their website. This was the first of many disappointments. I arrived at the restaurant at just after 6pm and was hoping for a quick meal on a trip away on Manchester for work. The restaurant was not busy so thought it would be easy to achieve a swift dinner. I ordered the kombucha mocktail and the tofu ham with roast potatoes. A small plate with roast potatoes came to my table about 10 minutes after ordering followed by my drink about 10 minutes after. The mocktail had very little flavour and tasted like extremely watered down kombucha with a few Blueberries plonked in. After waiting another half an hour the waitress apologised for the wait and told me my food would be 5 minutes. After another 10 minutes it finally arrived with mashed potato and roast potatoes on the plate with the tofu "ham". The dish was quite bland and not exciting at all and the vegetables cold. I have no idea what the individual dish of roast potatoes that had been accompanying me on the table for 40 minutes before the main came out were for but I did not try them to see if they were indeed as cold and soggy as they looked. Overall a very disappointing experience and will not be returning or recommending this restaurant. As an apology they did take of 20% of the bill and did not include the usual 10% service charge. Unfortunately this did not make up for my unpleasant evening at the Allotment Vegan Eatery.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
