The park is in one of Manchester's most picturesque areas, surrounded by many cultural attractions and cafes. It is a large park with a lake, woodland and plenty of greenery and offers great opportunities for outdoor walks and picnics.

Nice park. Very pleasant environment for daily walk. You can smell and feel the nature. Frozen lake in winter. And spring flowers blossom. A place for relaxation.

One of the best park in Manchester. Everyone has some activity to do here suitable for all ages. Cycling, walking, bird sighting, skat boarding, football, tennis, basketball, mountain biking, cricket, BBQ places, children park, and boating (closed) are the activities you can enjoy. Good size free parking plus nearby street parking. Only negative: most discusting toliets but better than nothing.

This park is a really nice place for barbecues, walks, picnics etc. sometimes there is a lot of litter which is such a shame as there is an assortment of wildlife around :( there’s a nice cafe/ market with community events and some playgrounds for kids too.

We visited the Thai Festival which was held here. Had a good walk around the park which was being used by plenty of people with children. Seemed like a good place to visit again.

Lovely park near the heart of the city. Two enclosed play areas for younger kids. Nice foot path for a walk along the pond area. Easy parking and accessible from different gates.

It's a beautiful park for running, picnics or just getting away from the city noises for a bit. I love going here to get a clear head during study breaks.

Lovely park amazing project "Mud" feeding the city growing food..food served Friday lunch time. playground not great, such a small play area for central Manchester only 2 swings... Could do with more imaginative play area. Great place to buy second hand bikes, or get your bike fixed and great BMX tracks.

Absolutely stunning and spectacular park. Lovely and spacious for being about a 10 minute drive from the city centre. Plenty of outdoors facilities from a BMX track to skateboard park to tennis courts and a children's playground. beautiful lake found in the middle too, as well as the quaint little market garden. There are toilets however they are not (as far as I am aware) accessable to the public. This park is perfect for a walk at any time of the day - I would recommend sunset the most though.

A superb park. An oasis in the from the hustle & bustle of a busy city. Great open green spaces, trees and and a large pond with ducks & geese. A fantastic place to have a walk, jog or bike ride. Or take your Dogs for a walk & run around A great place for a picnic with friends and family. Especially on top of the hill by the Lake. It has Children's play areas with an ice cream van nearby to treat your kids For the more sporty visitors it has Tennis court,s, Basketball court, BMX track and skate park. Another highlight in the park is Platt Hall which is located in the North East corner of the park, Platt Hall is home to the Manchester Art Galleries Gallery of Costume. It houses an important collection of costumes and started refurbishment in March 2009 - it is due to re-open in April 2010. Built of brick in 1762-64 it is an interesting building in its own right. It is a lovely Park well worth visiting and enjoying in peace

It is huge and beautiful park , play area for toddlers and lake makes it a good place to visit, only reason for giving 3 stars is the amount of rubbish i saw there, ( needs a good clean 😅)

Sometimes a little dirty but overall a lovely place for a stroll. Watching ducks and geese swimming is an additional delight. But if you want to feed them please don't just bring bread, do look at some other options such as birdseed, sweetcorn, or peas. They will be a little more hesitant to eat it but it's much better for their health! Especially given the amount of bread they get fed on the daily already.

Lovely Park for walking, riding and in our case Go-Karting. Lots of Green and pleasant flora & fauna slightly spoilt by bits of petty vandalism and litter. A sign of the time and a true shame

Great place to go for a walk, feed the birds (not bread!), walk the dog, take children etc. There's a playground for younger children, basketball court, football pitch (concrete), skate ramps, cycle track (I think you have to book this). Really great park, easy to get to , parking available or get the bus/walk/cycle. Junior and adult parkruns, near to Fallowfield and Rusholme if you fancy getting food. The cafe and market garden are open (check times) , and ice cream van and toilets.

One of our favourite parks. It has 2 playgrounds, one for younger children and the other for older one. Has a small lake, where you can go bird watching with kids, and not only. Also has restroom and changing facilities. Has another area for adults and older children to play tennis, skating, bmx track. Overall is a good place

Beautiful lake and parkland (used as a great venue for many celebrations). As many others have noted: loads of geese, ducks and moorhens, a few herons and some green parakeets.

Nice park with lovely market garden, and good play area, places to sports e.g. play tennis, football and basketball, skate park and bike track; wished they still had the pet corner that was good for children. The tarmac area around the lake could do with being cleaned regularly and students need to take their rubbish home with them
