Good hotel, but absolutely not worth the price. I arrived here with my grandfather after a difficult and tiresome day (cancelled flight from Edinburgh in the morning, which led us to be rerouted via Manchester). When entering the hotel, we thought the modest timber table standing at reception symbolised a daring and modern hotel. But it was actually a sign of the frugality which awaited us in our room. Throughout our stay, we faced an ugly and narrow courtyard, as no twin rooms have been built with a street view. The room was quite small, with just one pillow per person, and there were no hand towels in the bathroom. Not to mention the single cup put at our disposal (in a room meant for two people), which truly embodies the hotel's amateurism. Nevertheless, a couple of positive aspects. First, the location is ideal, just 5 min away from Manchester Piccadilly rail station and right next to the bustling Piccadilly Gardens and their shopping and dining opportunities. Secondly, the extremely comfortable mattresses were to die for. Finally, although there were some cracks and stains on the wallpaper, cleanliness was impeccable. But once again, despite these, the price (nearly 185 € for 2) definitely did not reflect our global experience.

Never again. I checked in, went to my room (125) and the stench hit me as soon as I walked through the door. I spent 15 minutes in the room, I found the window was broken (the lock was broken and the replacement lock was also broken) the smell was overwhelming. It smelled like the carpet had been taken from the dump and laid back in the room. I asked for a room chnage and was told they were full. They told me if the room smelled there was nothing they could do and if the window was broken there was no chance of it being fixed tonight. With no option I had to stay. I would avoid this place at all cost. I stayed here as it was booked through my work, I have ensured my employer does not pay for the room. If I could have travelled home that night I would have. Upon leaving I expressed my disgust and asked for them to bot resell the room until it had had a deep clean....I'm pretty sure my words were ignored. Avoid.

Nice hotel. Good customer service from staff. Central location. Had to buy a blanket as heating wasn't working in our room. Only continental breakfast but is enough, plenty other eat out breakfast choices. Nice bar area for late night drinks. Room satisfactory.

Great price! Lovely clean and tidy room, quirky decor. Breakfast was lovely and good value for money. Found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the perfect location, would not hesitate to stay here again. Had a great weekend staying here over Manchester Pride weekend.

Nice room in a prime location, bar and restaurant very nice. The customer service at the hotel was 10/10 with staff going above and beyond to cater for us. Would absolutely stay again. Compared to other cheaper hotels such as the Gardens in the same area it was by far and away the nicest we'd stayed in.

What excellent value for money. Far exceeded my expectations. Staff very friendly and helpful, the room small and basic. But everything you need, spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Looking forward to my next stay.

Good point: comfortable bed. Bad points: staff told me wrong room, couldn’t tell me how long my business reservation was, staff weren’t polite or clear, room is way too noisy I could hear doors, showers and people in other rooms ‘going about their business’ all night. Room wasn’t particularly clean, a lot of brown stains everywhere (shower and on curtains).

All I can say is what a dire experience this place was. Staff are lovely at reception, they have tried to make the decor quirky and appealing, lots about rain , well it's Manchester. Arriving at the room, first we found a dirty cloth on the shampoo bottle, left by the cleaners, next only two pillows on the bed, and only one spare. When we got back that evening , another pillow was supplied. Next morning , no shower gel, reported that and it was refiled. Morning two, no hot water, so no shower, reception said they had a problem with hot water. Promised a 15% refund, don't think that will happen. Leaks all over the corridor. Morning three, last morning, not taking a chance on the shower as the sink ran cold. Basically an upmarket dump. Would I go again , the thought dead body , crawling over it come to mind. Will review again if I get the refund, this could be a long time!!!!.

The rooms are small, the bed is super comfortable, and the decor is cute pop art. There is no outlet in the bathroom for safety, just FYI. The shower is great. It has a hand-held device as well as a big rain shower head. Perfect for non hair wash days. Fantastic location and great prices during the week. The breakfast is a great value and very good. I love all the different options, from scrambled eggs to yogurt. Again, you can't beat the location.

Room was nice , however there was no courteous apology for the fire alarm 🚨 going off at 7am , regardless of whether it was an emergency , test or accidental. There are certain standards to be met when running such an establishment Apart from this the bar , eating area and all facilities are good and comfort based

For a budget hotel (very reasonable prices indeed) the room size was generous and it was comfortable and clean. Very good shower. Polite, efficient and friendly staff. Fantastic location. The humourous and cute touches to the decor elevate it to a level above run of the mill budget chain hotels.

We really enjoyed our stay here for a few days. The mattress in our room was pretty hard but we slept fine. Could be softer! Don't use the local taxi service, we paid £30 to get to the Trafford Centre and we got an Uber back which was nearer £10. But the hotel is lovely, clean and the staff are nice. We would of loved a few more tea bags and coffee plus more milk as we are from Scotland and that's all we drink indoors :-)

Obviously, the hotel location is great, but services are very elementary. Breakfast should have some more cheese options. I spent 3 nights and couldn't sleep properly for 2 of those nights. Clientele is fairly bad, unsupervised tourist children causing a lot of noise and drunkards talking so loud at 2AM in the morning. Wouldn't visit again

We had a great stay, great location close to trams and Picadilly Station. Rooms was spotless and staff were excellent. Breakfast is good value and served in the adjacent restaurant were ee also had dinner on one occasion.

Pre-dinner drinks in the bar. Staff are very pleasant, and the bar seemed well stocked. Room was very comfortable. Very clean, with a good bed. Bathroom well equipped with a great sized walk-in shower. Hotel is ideally located for restaurants, including Chinatown.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the decor in the hotel is stunning, the location is great with all shopping and transport facilities, near Picadilly garden. The breakfast was OK but not great. I would come back for sure. Don't forget you have to pay an extra £1.20/night as charge.

For the budget - could not fault this Hotel! Rooms are more nicely furnished than similar priced places and have all you'd realistically need if you're just using the hotel as a base, and you couldn't get a more central location to stay! Right at the heart of all the transport hubs. The hotel is uniquely styled just like the other Ibis Styles each are but the girls loved this one with it's funky decor! The five stars is for the service - we usually stay at the pricier sister hotels but last minute availability was against us - However the staff were just as professional and as accommodating as at at the bigger chains in the Accor Group. Service was excellent - we left something behind and it was searched for and found, vegetarian breakfasts were no hassle and the buffet was topped up immediately upon us asking! Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone, and would happily return ourselves.

Quirky& Fun! Absolutely relaxed atmosphere from arrival till departure. Staff is attentive, but in a very informal way, which I love. BUdget hotel with a 5* service!

Quirky but fun! Surprisingly easy to find and to walk to form the train station, very close to the shops and the park. Love the sunglasses in the hotel, gave us good focal point for a team photo! :) Had a breakfast in the restaurant next morning. Although it wasn't a "full English" version, i did not mind it. Plenty of hot & cold choices. Even catered my gluten free needs. Will be back soon.

The rooms were really clean, and a decent size. Quirky decor that made you smile. The staff were friendly and really helpful from the moment you arrived. The location is fantastic for nearly anywhere you wanna go in the city centre. The cooked breakfast is included but I would state the toast was good, for the price of the room one cannot complain. Will definitely be staying there again

One of the worst hotels I've ever been to. The rooms are not only in a terrible condition, but also horribly dirty. The air conditioning unit in our room didn't work at all so it was absolutely freezing. Told the reception but nothing happened. Save your money and your health and avoid this place.

Previously stayed had a great room and despite a few issues was impressed and booked a return with wife. This time room (although booked same) was a lot smaller. One of the lifts didn't work resulting in delays. Breakfast was cold Was awoken at 5am with noise of the bins being emptied and the reception was understaffed resulting in the person being under pressure... long ques booking in & out. Real shame

The hotel is located close to everything and easily accessible. The rooms are clean, has the expected amenities and the restaurant has good food and also some games to lighten the mood and socialise with other guests. But what really sets this place apart was the hospitality and care the staff puts in. It was our first trip to Manchester and they gave us free of charge a flag, wristband and other items for my sons favourite team. This became THE trip of his life and he still to this day wear the items. Thank you for showing us you city and warmth in the best possible way ❤️

Location was perfect, in the heart of the City Center, close to everything like Christmas markets, shopping stores, pubs and restaurants. Very accommodating Indian lady at the Reception in the afternoon we checked in (too bad I didn't get her name). Staff are nice and helpful. Love the Jamboree Restaurant at the ground floor, which is a convenient and friendly service from Olivia. I felt safe staying in this hotel because you need a key card to go up to the rooms. The room was clean and tidy and everything was well thought of. Very modern design from the lobby to our room. Bed and pillows are all comfortable, which is why I love Accor Hotels and slept like a baby. Will definitely stay again whenever I come to Manchester.

Hotel was in a good location ,rooms were a bit on the small side but sufficient for our needs , however we could hear the people in the next room quite clearly. Hotel was clean , staff were very pleasant , did not eat at hotel so cannot review the food.

Great room, with the most comfortable bed I have slept on. I have problems with my back which are easily triggered, but not a tweak lying on that bed, amazing. Shower was huge! You could control the heating in your room to suit, or have on air conditioning. Also there was several usb sockets. I was impressed and I shall stay there again.

This was a nice hotel. It's relatively cheap and it isn't supposed to be high-end but it's got more facilities than really you would expect in such a cheap place. The rooms are lovely and clean. Air conditioned. Nice bathrooms. The shower is lovely. Very powerful but considering the price you pay, the hotel is of a very good spec

Actually it's all right. Concerned I was locked in my room (I was but it may have been me panicking) the staff were very understanding and took the incident seriously. I was moved quickly and given a free drink. Little things but they matter. I'd come back. That matters. Room charming, witty and comfortable. Great breakfast spread.

Really pleasantly surprised by the quality of every aspect of our stay here. The decor is imaginative, from the weather themed floors custom carpeted with autumn leaves and the rooms packed with its deliberately canted angle fixtures, faux-umbrella table legs and condensation drawings in the shower screen. This feels like a rally well put together place by someone who really knows what they're doing. The room was quiet, bed comfortable and the air con worked great. Lovely breakfast with lots of choices and pleasant welcoming staff made for a great stay and one we hope to repeat soon.

Eclectic hotel with friendly staff, not super fancy but fun. Rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. The one issue was the two small elevators servicing a decent sized hotel. When we were trying to leave in the morning we waited about 10 minutes for an elevator to arrive that had any space in it. Finally we and others on our floor just gave up and had to lug out heavy luggage 4 stair flights down.

For a cheap central location you can't find better. A fun quirky hotel, not really luxury but for the price it is recommended. Breakfast was really nice, unlimited tea and coffee helps make the morning more enjoyable. Room was small but adequate for a short break.

  • 3/5 Ran G. 1 year ago on Google
Great location, close to pretty much all the opportunities offered in central Manchester. Rooms were on the small side, and of course no views of any interest to boast. TV volume was restricted, had no milk tubs for tea and coffee making, and they also had left only one towel in the room, with them taking a day to give us another. The dark carpets of the rooms are also questionable, as it was hard to see if it was clean. Easy check-in and out. For a budget stay, reasonably okay.

Room was as shown in the photos. No faults regarding cleanliness at all. Hotel decor modern and trendy. Bathroom was great, AC in the room worked well although slightly noisy but no real complaints. Extractor did not seem to do a great job in the bathroom but no damp/mouldy smells so must have been working. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is in a great location in the city centre making it easy to get around Manchester. Check in was quick and easy, the room was lovely with TV, kettle, ironing board and iron and it's own bathroom with a shower. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection of food and drinks. I would highly recommend this hotel for a city break.

A reasonably priced fantastically modern styled hotel in an old building in the middle of Manchester, next to Piccadilly Gardens tram. Loads of excellent places to eat and drink within walking distance. Rooms are pleasant: decent shower, ok bed. Few minor oddities - noisy air con/heating, nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom, and pretty thin walls - I could hear my neighbors talking. But for the price, a reasonable proposition!

A friend and I spent a Saturday night here. It's in a great central location with a taxi rank right outside if you need to get far. You can also call one from a dedicated taxi phone in reception, but it's quicker to jump in one outside. The main reception area is water themed and it gives it something different. The room was a reasonable size although I did have to be careful not to knock the TV off the wall when walking around the end of the bed. The bed was large and it had a nice comfortable mattress. The bathroom seemed clean. Breakfast was good with a variety of continental and English (beans, egg, bacon, sausage) food. When we went back to collect our things so we could check out we found the maid had already been in to empty the bins and do the bathroom. The towels had been changed in preparation for the next guests we assume.....

Staff at check in were polite and attentive. Took our suitcase in 5 hours before check in and we managed to check in half an hour early. Hotel was overall modern and rooms clean but a little basic. Bathroom was lovely but we lacked hot water for around half an hour which was a little inconvenient. Bar was relaxing and breakfast was nice and hot but I think £10 was a little much due to the limited selection of hot food. Staff at breakfast lingered and it felt as though we were being monitored. The only major problems was loud guests next door to us at 11pm however as soon as we complained to reception they sorted it out. Overall this hotel was okay neither good nor bad.

A really fun type of hotel with quirky giant furniture, perhaps designed with families in mind. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were pleasant, the only thing I would comment suggestively on would be that the rooms could do with having access to more central heating

Perfect location if you're wanting a hotel that's slap bang in the middle of Manchester's shopping and nightlife. 5 minutes walk to the gay village and equal distance to the arty Northern Quarter. A hotel with plenty of vibe and the staff are so welcoming and friendly

  • 5/5 Michal C. 10 months ago on Google
The room looked great. As soon as we entered, I was more than happy with what I saw. It was big enough for what we needed, it seemed very clean. Have to mention that the bathroom was more than great. The location was also amazing - right in the center. The price we paid was a little bit too high (in my opinion) for a three-star hotel. But the hotel itself looked great, smelled great, and was amazing in general.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. It’s a very central location yet we experienced no noise from outside and the room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be that us ladies like a dressing table area with mirror to get ready, do hair etc. There was a desk area and plug points on the other side of the room from the mirror. However would happily stay here again and work around it

Fab hotel. In the middle of Manchester city centre. Rooms were nice, nicely decorated, apart from the decorations to the walls are deliberately slanted and made us feel weird staring at it haha (our opinion) we didn't use the hotel bar so cannot comment. You don't get much brew stuff in your room, but we asked at the front desk and got a lot more. Overall fab stay and would stay again.

Recently visited here for the second time and it was another excellent stay. It’s perfectly located at Piccadilly Gardens and there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants in this area to visit. The hotel itself is bright and modern with very comfortable rooms that are usually clean and tidy. The rooms with stayed in have come with free tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and two large bathroom towels. The beds are okay, a little too firm for my taste, but each person is different I suppose, but I still slept well each time I’ve visited. Check in is super easy with truly helpful reception staff making it a simple process. Standard card key entry to rooms are provided and all seven floors are accessed by two lifts located at the side of check in near the bar entrance. The attached Jamboree bar and restaurant is also a great bonus. Good selection of drinks available here as well as a decent pool table if you fancy a game. We also had inclusive breakfast with our stays and this is also served in the Jamboree bar. It’s a standard travel lodge kind of breakfast serving with all types of different cereals on offer with the usual bacon, eggs, beans and bread for toasting also available. All the staff here are also really, really nice. Always on hand to help with anything and are a credit to the hotel. If you’re looking for a well priced, well located hotel in Manchester, I’d thoroughly recommend this place.

Really comfy rooms, great location in the center of the city and made us feel welcome on arrival. Quirky interior and, considering it was city center, couldn't hear a thing once in the room. Will absolutely be staying again

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
