Nice selection of coffee and varied menu. Coffee was decent but not as smooth as I like it, but I suspect that's down to personal preference. Staff were nice enough but generally not a massively warm welcome. Toilet was good, with decent access but the lack of a sanitary bin and a very feeble hand dryer meant it didn't quite hit the excellent mark! Good space, with good distance between tables, plus the mezzanine level gives a nice view. The art on the walls is beautiful and well displayed. The jazz playing is a little intrusive but not unpleasant. Overall a decent experience.

Centrally-located with a European flavour coffee shop in the city center of Manchester. Next to Manchester's National Gallery so the views are breathtaking. The place is well decorated and invites you to enter for their warmness. They have a wide range of coffee and teas with different eateries options such as scones or múltiples cakes. Also, they have an extensive menu for breakfast and brunch. The coffee and tea are good and the price is good value for money. The service is always careful, attentive and professional to the customers. It has been a great discovery living in Manchester

A nice European-style coffee shop, located opposite of the Manchester Art Gallery. Almost as soon as you walk in, you are greeted by staff, who welcome you and advise to take a seat a table, unless all you want is a quick takeaway coffee. There is a lot of space inside the coffee house. The ground floor accommodates plenty of seating in a form of armchairs and benches. There is also a mezzanine floor, where you will find more tables. Only the ground floor can be accessed by a wheelchair or with a stroller. Toilets are located on the ground floor. The Vienna Coffee House has a great atmosphere. It feels cosy and warm throughout the café, with lots of natural light coming from large windows, quiet "coffee house" music playing from the speakers. They also showcase many art pieces from a local artist on both floors. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Make sure they got your order correctly. The service was prompt and professional. I ordered Viennese Coffee (Einspanner) and a slice of the Belgian Chocolate Fudge Cake. The coffee, which basically is a double mocha with whipped cream was pretty good. I am not sure if I would order it once again (as I found it very sweet), but it is an interesting alternative to hot chocolate. The cake was nice, but simple in terms of flavour and texture. I think adding some berries or salted caramel filling would improve it drastically. The prices for both were above the average of the city centre. The menu here is very generous. There lots of options for a quick meal and a drink. The price of afternoon tea looks like a real deal. Overall, I think The Vienna Coffee House is great spot if you want to relax and enjoy your time, without paying any attention for the time. So, grab a book, a coffee, some food and enjoy some time for yourself.

Popped in for a quick coffee after a long journey on the train. Was welcomed in and seated by a polite member of staff. There was a nice relaxing coffee house vibe and most of all the coffee was top notch! This place serves food also which I may try on my next visit as it did look good!

It is a nice small cafe that serving good sandwiches and cakes, though sandwiches were served in a slow pace, I don’t really mind as we were not in a rush and its sandwiches are actually quite tasty. I had a latte and it had a very pretty pattern on it, and I was so impressed. It’s in a convenient location and I think I would really love to come again. This cafe is dogs friendly, I saw 2 dogs were already there when I went inside.

Situated directly opposite the Manchester Art Gallery it was a perfect place for our Breakfast before visiting the gallery. Eggs Benedict & omelette were both delicious & just the rights amount. Wonderful staff. Considerate but not over-bearing. A lovely light & spacious restaurant with interesting art work on the walls & spotlessly clean. Thankyou

One of my favourite cafes in Manchester. Its just opposite to the Art Gallery. Good coffee, yummy food and many beautiful artworks on the wall. Worth to go there for a relaxing break. **just realised that the menu has been changed recently and there is no light englist breakfast (deansgate) anymore. Hopefully the owner can remain the light breakfast as full breakfast would be too much for some of the customers.**

I popped in here spontaneously for a late breakfast when visiting Manchester and seeing that Viennese style coffee was offered. I have fond memories of the coffee shops in Vienna, so I had to give it a try. I had a salmon and cream cheese bagel (not explicitly on the menu, but other variations were, and there didn't seem to be any issue) and a melange coffee. My only point for improvement would be that smoked salmon should be seasoned - some cracked black pepper, dill, chives, lemon, etc. would have elevated it. My melange coffee was very nice and I would recommend trying it. The chocolate flakes on top weren't traditional, but I don't object to it! My companion had a lighter breakfast option of a cappuccino and a croissant with jam. The croissant was very nice and she liked having the miniature jar of jam that it came with. Staff were friendly and polite, cafe tidy and clean, bathroom was modern and clean. The cafe had a bit of a Skandi feel to it as well and I liked the photography on the walls. Prices were pretty reasonable. I'd definitely come back here and try another Viennese coffee option. Would love to also try some strudel here if it's available!

I was in Manchester for the day and decided to check out this coffee shop near the arts museum. The staff came and grabbed our orders. I asked for their flat white with regular milk. They have milk alternatives as well. The coffee itself was pretty good even though I don’t really drink coffee that often to know the difference (I enjoyed it).

Lovely hot chocolate and cake. Nearly had a diabetic coma afterwards... would have been worth it. Such a shame about the 1 toilet, but I guess not much they can do about it. Defo recommend.

Great place. Excellent central location next to St Peter’s Square. Nice food and coffee, helpful staff. Best of all IT IS QUIET. Gentle piano jazz at very low volume. Excellent place to read or do your “WFH” laptop stuff. Highly recommended, especially the brekkie granola.

Went here after an overnight in Manchester city centre and the food and service is excellent. There's a wide range of food and cater for dietary requirements too. The atmosphere is weird though. There's no music and if you're not looking out at the street all you will see and hear is the staff walking back and forth to the kitchen. Shame really.

I had the full English and tea. The food was delicious, the sausages were amazing (would highly recommend) the beans were the perfect thickness and not a runny mess, the eggs were perfect and were not runny. Basically everything tasted great. Aside from the food, the whole place has a relaxing vibe. I apologise as I forgot to take a picture of my plate when it arrived as I tucked in straight away but I can tell everyone reading this review that nothing went to waste.

I had the French toast with berries and Clotted cream, the push n shoot smoothie and some of the fries. The food was spot on, really fresh and delicious fruit and the toast was made so well, very fluffy and flavourful. The staff were helpful and lovely. The place is decorated so well, it gives such a homely feeling.

I had high hopes for this place after looking on their website. Never again! Excellent service but my drink came cold and tasted awful and was not the drink i ordered that you have a picture of on your offical page, ( i have had a better drink at my local starbucks) my food came slapped on the plate and didn't go together well. They need to take the salad off the plate and put the potato on a smaller plate with less beans and coleslaw on the side, not sommit that looks like prison food. I will not be bringing the girls here for a meal as planned!

Popped into Vienna Coffee House with my son last Friday for a full English breakfast, we weren't disappointed. Excellent, well cooked food and two delicious coffee's did the job. Service was prompt and polite considering the café was very busy. Great all round experience. Would highly recommend.

It is been a year I am here in manchester, and with Vienna Coffee. Cafe is decent with specialties, full English is good, but my favorite is Belgium waffle, which is the best in manchester personally speaking. I used to spend hard time doing dissertation at this place, meeting friends here. I like this place with unforgettable memories. It is busy at the weekends, which is not good for study btw.

Delicious chips. Just nipped in because it was raining and me and my son were soaking- so glad that we did though! It was a little pricey and pretentious but I guess that’s because it’s in central Manchester. The staff were nice and the sauce with the chips was sooooo good. Would recommend.

Actually siting in here as I’m writing this, as this place is incredible. The fresh oranges juice was just what I needed and the food was delicious. The sausages on the full English is something out of this world and the smashed avocado (they give you halloumi, bacon and poached eggs) was delicious too. If ever in Manchester again, we will defo be returning

I went for breakfast on a Saturday morning, I reached easily without a reservation and was able to find a table. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I ordered flat white and eggs Benedict. Both were delicious, and the eggs Benedict was made with perfection. I recommend the place for morning coffee and breakfast

I've called here twice in the last month for breakfast. I had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, both times and it was excellent. The staff were quick and courteous. An extremely pleasant experience on both occasions.

the Viennese coffee and cake are very delicious, friendly staff too the only complaint is that the ventilation of kitchen is so poor that the smell of frying stuff is so strong in the cafe, my clothes and hair smells after leaving the café.

Nice space, staff friendly. Food was good. There is a good selection of coffee drinks but to me the coffee tastes like the cheaper roast coffee from the general wholesaler. I’d recommend the venue get coffee from a local roaster. There are many in Manchester producing fantastic coffee. It really makes a difference, given that the venue goes to the trouble to make its own juices on demand, and great coffee is what will bring me back to a venue.

Cute little coffee chop/cafe right on St Peter’s Square which we wandered upon by chance. Was quite busy but we were seated right away and the service was exceptional. Sampled coffee, smoothies, and food and all were great - the only thing that dropped a star was that the Salsa Verde Avo Toast was just a lot of tomato flavours and a bit lack lustre from the expected concept, and the panini being £9 with just crisps seemed a little steep compared to some of the other menu items (albeit city centre prices) £13 with a side of chips is a touch much. Would definitely visit again, and recommend to friends, would just spend a little more time looking over the menu/instagram before ordering and suggest posting more food pics on social media. The afternoon tea we saw served to other people looked incredible!

Lovely little cafe in a good spot, food was lovely and well presented, the ingredients were good quality and well cooked. Cafe spotless, prices fine and service friendly. Would have been 5 stars but let down by cheap brown sauce in sachets, which is a shame to slip up on something so simple.

Prompt service once you're there, reasonable price for the amount of food. Food was great. I had an afternoon tea with egg mayonnaise and cream cheese & cucumber sandwiches, latte with whipped cream, warm scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and a slice of coffee cake. Convenient location near St Peter's Square tram stop and a short walk from Piccadilly Gardens. I gave the atmosphere 3/5 which I consider a neutral score - nothing bad, nothing fancy. It was clean and quiet. I see the review before mine marked it down for not being authentic to Vienna. I've never been to Vienna and I'm rating it as a traditional English afternoon tea. I'm taking one star off the service as they're not currently accepting reservations online and they never answer the phone so I had to go in person to book a table. I recommend an answering machine!
