Tried to get a table for me and my family. We are five. The waitress declined us because apparently they were fully booked in five minutes. We came back in 15 minutes and nobody was there. Me and my family feel very discriminated by the staff of this restaurant. Never coming back.

Where do I start. I arrived and it took them 30 minutes to take my drinks order. After they took the order it took about another 15 minutes to get the drink...by this point I was debating nipping to the corner shop to get me a drink to see me through. We then waited another half an hour before they took the food order...by this point I'd been there well over an hour. A lot of dishes had 'sold out" even though the place was quiet. Food finally arrived and my French fries were brown and massively overdone (not sure how you'd manage that other than forgetting about them!) We ordered a garlic bread with out meal which came out after we'd all eaten...the awkward conversation of "do you still want it?" Ensued. On the way out of the restaurant the server chased me out saying I hadn't settled the full amount. What he was referring to was the tip... I stated that service was poor and I'm not willing to pay £30 which had been added without my consent. Won't be going back, service terrible , food ok. Would give a zero if I could.

Would not come here!! Lunch - came here for some lunch with my partner. Sat outside the seating area quite nice, waiter was friendly but very busy on his own. Food was VERY poor. Mushroom starter was barely warm, the sauce had a film on the top of it. The dish it came in was too hot to touch but food was cold. The mains - linguine far too spicy and couldn’t taste anything else. The lasagna tasted like a frozen ready meal. Will DEFINITELY not be back! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Lovely food. Our first server wasn’t so great. She was not professional and looked like she didn’t want to be there: our second server was a dream. She took over and was so nice. Made sure to keep in contact with us even when she was busy: didn’t catch her name but she had glasses and brown hair in a ponytail. This was around 7-8pm on 28th oct. She was young. Thanks so much. Food and service was great. Will be returning x

Staff weren’t communicating to give good service. We saw our food and our drinks left on the side for a long side. They had some empty tables so they weren’t serving at maximum capacity. Staff also did not have good relations with eachother so it was hard to get good service. We waited for everything a long time including the bill

We had booked online but it wasn't busy (6.30pm) and the welcome was very warm. The service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious.

We walked in and several members of staff (including someone that looked like a manager) walked straight past us and completely ignored us, in the end we had to approach a member of staff to ask if there were any tables, she checked with the manager who said it is booking only, which is fair enough, but one of the 5 staff that walked past us could have just told us that. We have been to Zizzi many times and the food is always nice but the service is shockingly bad.

Had a good meal by myself, beef short rib with extra veg and a spicy rum piccante (both very nice, meat fell off the bone so easy). Was quiet in the early afternoon so no problems with friendly timely service. Also had option to pay from phone using table number

Sat waiting for far to long for order to be taken, even longer for starter to arrive (came with no cutlery), we were waiting that long for our main the waiter asked if we wanted to see the desert menu (we hadn't even had our mains), absolutely terrible service.......AVIOD!!!!! Go somewhere cheaper with better service 😐

Perfect place for quick lunch after shopping. Food is really good and serving staff busy but really friendly.

Went for lunch with friends. Server was very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was served quite quickly which was a pleasant surprise. We had to ask for cutlery as there were only forks on the table. When we came to pay, we were informed that it was cash only which was annoying as one of our party only had cash. If we would have been made aware that it was cash only at the time of ordering we would have gone elsewhere.

got to the restaurant at 8:10pm and was barely anyone there, we ordered food and drinks and everything was fine. shortly after the starters came and 5 minutes later my friends dinner came without him even finishing the starter. about an hour after he had gotten his meal was when me and the rest of my family got our meals after having to ask multipul times where they were. absolutely disgraceful service but food was okay. probably won’t be returning

What to say about this restaurant .... First and last time I've eaten here, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The worst thing of all was the service...extremely slow, the restaurant was half full. When we arrived at the restaurant it was 7:50, it took them a long time to get us in, almost all the tables were empty and not picked up. 20 minutes to bring tap water to our table from the time we ordered it. 45 minutes to bring the starters, some frozen calamari and some calamari, 45 minutes really? 30 minutes more to bring us some pizzas that take 1 minute to cook in the oven they have. Very very slow, no one seemed to be in a hurry. We finished our pizzas and we were waiting for a while to see if we could order desserts, the manager started to clear the tables around us which were never cleaned and she didn't even take our plates off the table, they left us there abandoned until we got up and we had to go somewhere else to eat our desserts. We were there for 2 hours and 15 minutes to eat a frozen starter and a pizza, I can't believe it. The food I would rate as a 5, I have eaten in authentic Italian restaurants and it has nothing to do, there is not much to expect from these chain restaurants.

First the positives. The staff who served us were lovely. Asked for a candle for the dessert for my friends birthday. They didn't have any but managed to find a tea light and sang to her. Very friendly and helpful. They are the reason i even gave any stars. Negatives - the food was inedible. Now I did eat my meal bit only because I had missed lunch and was starving and wasn't willing to wait for a new meal to be made. Any other time I would have sent it back. Only thing I could taste was pepper. Myself and 2 other friends had the Chorizo carbonara. Mine and 1 friends was covered in pepper and couldn't taste anything else. Ruined the food. My other friends wasn't quite as bad. She could eat hers at least but it was still very peppery. Now we had like half a bowl of parmesan on our pasta so the fact that I still could only taste pepper is saying alot.

Came in for a quick meal and once entered no staff were present at the desk but then got seen to. Ordered the food which i would say is lovely throughout but still a few downers. The service needs improvement as there was a long wait between the starters & mains. Once the main arrived it was cold so not as pleasant to eat. As there was only myself and a friend at a table, a party of 10 were getting more attended to by all staff which i found the experience to be a let down also to include the restaurant was 70% empty.

Went for an evening meal seated outside and our server Lauren made us feel very welcome and at ease. We loved how personal and friendly she was with us. The food was tasty and decent quality. Would go back.

Found a table no problem. Staff very friendly and helpful. One of our party had allergies so was brought a menu that shows what food is suitable for certain allergies.

This was my first time visiting Zizzi and it was fantastic. I will definitely return. We only waited around 10-15 minutes for our food which we thought was very reasonable for an evening where a band was on at the arena. The spaghetti carbonara and the bolognese loaded fries were both delicious, as were the complimentary pasta crisps! Also, lovely cocktails and great service!

On 19th October 23 Went in to the restaurant with my daughter before we went on to watch a show at the Arena. The place was busy as I expected it to be but we ordered our food at 18:45. Drinks came very quickly but then we waited, and waited. After 45 minutes the starter came. At 19:30 I asked how long the main course would be as we were going to a show at 20:00. We were told another 10 minutes. This was not good enough so I cancelled the mains. In fairness to the manager she was very polite and understanding and didn’t charge us for the garlic bread starter. Overall though, this was an awful experience. The restaurant should have been prepared. It was a big show as it was Peter Kay so it was always going to be busy. On that basis Zizzi managers should have prepared better and put more staff on, particularly in the kitchen, or had a better system. I have never had to exit 45 minutes for a starter, anywhere so I was hugely disappointed. Fortunately the show was fantastic so the evening was a success but that had nothing to do with Zizzi.

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I’ve never been so appalled with a restaurant before. Firstly, we arrived ten minutes late, for which I apologised as we had been stuck in traffic. The response was a rude “well I’ve given away your table now, wait over there and I’ll see if I can find you a table in the next ten minutes”. Wish we hadn’t bothered. We waited an hour for our starter, which I had to ask where it was. It was fondue and it arrived lumpy and lukewarm at best and nowhere near to the same quality we have experienced before. I appreciate it was very busy, but I was with my 12 year old daughter, treating her before a concert. She was witness to a lot of explicit language from both chefs and waiting staff. Staff making vulgar remarks about customers because they rightly complained about the standard of food and the time it took for food to arrive. After the starters I decided to cancel the rest of the meal and get my very distressed daughter out of there. The atmosphere was horrible. I wouldn’t mind but it took a further 20 minutes to get the bill sorted. Awful evening and no one apology for delayed food, bad language and unprofessional behaviour, or poor quality of food.

We order 2 different types of pasta. And tea and coffe. Coffee was bad taste. Pastas taste were very basic.. they are under of average. Parmasan cheese next to pasta was not real Parmasan 😐 or not real cheese. Very bad taste unfortunately. Service person was kind.

Worst service we have received in a restaurant. (Context: restaurant wasn't even a quarter full) Took a long time to be acknowledged at the entrance, staff walking past without a word. Finally taken to a table and seated without cutlery/napkins. Slow food service blamed on chefs taking a smoke break out the back?? Nobody checked on us to see if food was okay/wanted any other drinks/desert (we would have). Had to flag down elusive staff member for bill. We enjoy the food at Zizzi but will not be visiting this branch again. Don't waste your time.

Food was excellent, well done kitchen staff. The waiter who was on shift could do with some training, the waitress was lovely though. Definitely worth a trip

Would never go again. Ordered the beef rague, parts of it were stone cold. Asked for a new one came out 3 minutes later clearly microwave the one I sent back but the waiter denied it. Ended up vomiting the rest of the night and felt awful the following day. 0/5 food standards need investigating.

Had a lovely meal with family before a show at the arena. Great friendly welcome. Staff respected we had a guest missing and waited for their arrival before taking our order. Didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was fab, as always. We used Tesco club card vouchers for the food and the staff were very helpful in showing my husband how to redeem them.

Waitress on our section was really lovely, she was friendly and attentive. The food we had was good too. The restaurant was relatively quiet yet The food took a really long time to get to us.. we had a garlic bread with mozzarella to start, which took about 35mins to arrive to our table. Our main course then took a further 45mins to an hour to arrive - we were starving. The waitress did get our drinks taken off the bill (4x soft drinks) as way of compensation

Nipped in here as we were passing & needed a quick bite to eat before we headed to the hotel after work. We were greeted at the door by George who was very polite, informative about the menu & showed us to our seat. The venue had a great atmosphere & was very welcoming. The food was really tasty & fresh We forget to ask the name of the gentlemen with blond hair but the service was equally as good Cant fault this visit at all

As usual wonderful experience with Zizzi. Wherever is it, they provide top notch customer service and quality fresh food. Garlic prawns spiedini is a usual started for me but this time tried with the soft bread. For the first time tried the cocktails is Zizzi and it didn’t disappoint me. We tried passionfruit fruitini and spicy zombie. Meat sofia pizza and chicken calabrese and amazing and i would recommend everyone to try the chicken calabrese. I would visit again and zizzi never disappoints me.

Food was very tasty, staff friendly and helpful. Small issue was the wait time between courses. Chips that were ordered never arrived which in the end was a good thing as the meal was extremely filling. Would definitely visit again.

We went to Zizzi at the Corn Exchange in Manchester yesterday with our little boy (2.5years) and although the food was lovely, it was the male member of staff who took the time to engage with my little boy that made the visit. Our little boy was wandering around (it was very quiet, only two tables as well as us) and the member of staff took the time to sit on the floor with my little boy and made him a paper plane. Later on, my little boy went in search of this man and he then gave him the 'zizzi' stamp and some napkins so my little boy could stamp it. It can be daunting going out to eat with a 2 year old and this was such a lovely visit. Thanks!

Brought my friend and myself to have some nice Italian food! It started off fine the waitress didn’t seem clued in-not sure if she was new her professionalism wasn’t the best! Was a long wait for our drinks too! My friend seemed happy with her food! Mine was ok the pasta wasn’t great- it was a long day and I didn’t feel comfortable saying it there and then plus I was too hungry to say anything! The dessert however we both got was nice!
