    What an unbelievable journey! I’ve been at UP for the past 25 weeks now and I can honestly say, it has helped me turn my whole life around completely. By far, one of the best decisions I’ve made in life! All staff are really friendly and welcoming, however I need to give a big shout out to my PT Adam. I couldn’t have done it without his encouragement, support and inspirational words. His exemplary knowledge within the field, filled me with confidence knowing I was doing the right thing to get to where I want to be. What was really handy was knowing that he was simply a text message away; even on his days off. Without any hesitation, I would recommend UP to anyone out there. Whether you’re struggling to control your weight, put muscle mass on, or even if you’re just looking for some guidance. UP is the place to be!

    Training at UP has been an amazing experience. Through working with Noel, I’ve been able to achieve a total transformation - both physically and mentally. In 6 months I’ve lost 15kg (70kg-55kg), whilst building a look and strength that I didn’t think was possible. I’ve also learned the critical importance of applying consistency and discipline to achieving goals, which I will continue to apply in all aspects of my life. Training at UP is unique - the facilities are the best and all the PTs have an incredible work ethic and commitment to their clients. If you commit to the process, you will definitely get results. It is thoroughly worth the investment and I’m excited to return in future to achieve bigger goals.

    I joined UP august 2021 with a goal of dropping a dress size and toning up. I’m 47 this year with three children who no longer need me all the time. So wanted something for myself. My initial plan was 12 weeks. My personal trainer Noel was amazing. His knowledge and expertise were of the highest standard as were his learning techniques UP is not a overnight Instagram /Facebook trend please know you are there to work hard! .. and work hard you do!! Nutrition,Training,Sleep all parts of your normal life are revisited to show you the correct way or to help your remember what’s best for you and your family . My whole family became part of my UP challenge as home cooking and eating out has to be managed. But I did manage it with help and constant support from my family and Noel and the rest of the team at UP. Once I dropped a dress size I wanted more … I wanted to continue to get fitter and stronger. My total time at UP was 30 weeks I finished this April and look absolutely amazing!! I had the transformation shoot which I’m super proud off. I highly recommend it to all .. especially ladies ..go and do it for you !

    My experience at UP with Laurence as my trainer, has been fantastic! I had never gone to the gym in my life before this, but now I can't imagine not going. Laurence’s motivation, genuine support, and expertise have made all the difference. He's not only great to talk to, taking the time to get to know me but he also has extensive knowledge in all areas of fitness/dieting and knows how to challenge and drive me towards results surpassing all initial expectations when I signed up. He has helped me feel more confident in myself and made me actually look forward to gym days! When I first looked at joining this gym the transformation stories on UP’s website seemed too good to be true, but I'm delighted to say they are genuine. By following their guidance and sticking to it, I am achieving great and realistic results. I couldn't be happier with my progress and 100% recommend this gym (specifically Laurence) to anyone seeking a supportive and motivating environment with a friendly and welcoming team to achieve their fitness goals.

    I am immensely grateful for my trainer, Adam Bailey. Since day one, he has transformed not only my physique but also my perspective on training. Before working with Adam, I had been training alone for years and had hit a plateau. My workouts became difficult, my motivation waned, and I wasn't sure how to progress physically. Despite having a good foundation, I hadn't achieved the lean build or significant strength gains I desired over the past decade. From the beginning, Adam's warm welcome and constant encouragement were priceless. He paid meticulous attention to every aspect of the process, taking the time to understand my history and help me set goals (something I hadn't done before joining). He guided me through the necessary lifestyle changes with unwavering support - sleep, training, sleep, water, steps, stress, Adam was there to help navigate it all! Now, training is something I genuinely enjoy, far more than I ever thought possible. Eating healthily has become satisfying (I was actually full whilst dropping body fat), and my confidence, especially when shirtless, has soared. Initially, I signed up for a 12-week package with a 3-week break abroad, but the experience has been so rewarding that I've decided to continue building on the strong foundation we've established. Adam, you are truly exceptional, and the knowledge you've shared with me is invaluable. I am incredibly grateful for taking the leap and signing up! I can't recommend ultimate performance (Manchester) enough.

    UP has not only changed my life, I feel like it has saved my life. When I joined I was at rock bottom with my mental health feeling very low and my physical health was extremely poor. My PT Connor has spent time really getting to know me and understand me and my triggers. Connor’s attention to detail to make sure I get the best from my transformation has been amazing. I’ve had tough days and days where I have blasted it and Connor has always been there to support me. Best thing I ever did was stepping into UP! I’m seven weeks in and I’m feeling fit, strong, healthy and super happy! This is just the beginning for me……

    U.P. has a reputation for being the best and together with the transformations showcased on the social feeds this is the reason I initially joined on a 3 month package. No stone is left unturned. Sleep, weight, steps, water and macros are tracked in the U.P. app. You are given exact instructions on what macros to be taking in for your training goals and after inputting them into the app daily you quickly learn where and how to get your protein/carbs/fats in. That alone has been a game changer for me. As for the training, its brutal at first as lets be honest who is using german body composition in their own training plan? It's all I do now pretty much! The ethos is about getting 100% out of each session so you are assessed on movements and those that don't quite work for you are not part of your programme. Movements and form are constantly modified, training tracked and every session you are pushed - even when I have gone in with muscle strains, from football, I am worked to 100% by making slight modifications - no missed sessions that can then snowball to missed weeks in the gym. So my initial 3 month package is now over 100 sessions and I've signed up for a few more yet! I dropped from 96kg to 74kg, my strength is so far beyond what it was, I have almost no 'little niggles' thanks to so many form corrections I have lost count and I even took part in a fitness photoshoot which is not something I'd imagine I'd ever do. When I do eventually finish, thanks to Christian Dyer (my assigned PT), I will have had an absolute education along with a total physical and mental transformation.

    I went into UP and was very hesitant on signing up due to the price and it being a big commitment. My initial push backs were could I spend the money and stick to the training and diet after being a yo-yo with my diet and training for years. My training was Steve Jones he was very friendly and to start with we had a great chat about what I wanted to achieve both in and outside the gym over the next few months. Steve outline my diet plans and training and we got started. Throughout the 12 weeks I struggled with the diet plan and set backs such as holidays and being ill. Steve was with me every step of the way supporting me in the gym and outside if I needed it. Every time I had a good drop on weight I would text him or he would text me to celebrate those little wins. In the gym Steve is amazing he knows when I can push harder but also knows when to not push me so I do not get injured. As the weeks progressed so did the training which maintained at a great level where I could see results but also not too hard that I couldn’t work the next day. What really surprised me is the benefits outside the gym. I have become more confident and very goal driven. My mental health and overall outlook in life has massive change and is a lot more positive. It has also had a huge effect on my work going from an average performing employee to one of the top performers. I am now 20kg lighter after 12 weeks and I have loved it that much I’m going to do another 12 weeks. all the staff are amazing and so friendly and supportive UP Manchester is an amazing place to transform yourself If you are thinking about signing up. stop thinking and do it. If you put in the work it will change every aspect of your life for the better I cannot recommend both Steve and UP Manchester enough they are the hold standard of the fitness industry

    I signed up to this gym wanting to get better at my technique, form and to improve my overall fitness, kickstarting good habits. The PT I was assigned to was very thorough with the questions and really delved into my goals in our welcome session. They gave clear critique on my form and clearly explained why the workout was set up in each way, it was all really insightful and helpful! However the reason for my 2 star review is that during my welcome I had stated that I have a history of eating disorders and did not want to be weighed, photographed or track my calories, all of these are triggers for me and I worked hard to overcome my eating disorder but it was still quite fresh. I stated that my fitness journey was NOT about weight loss or how I looked but rather I how I felt. My first session I was forced to get on the scales, have my photos taken and told that I had to stick to a very strict diet and track it, these were all things I had told them I did not want to do to protect my own mental health. Upon my second session, I was put back on the scales and I was met with a disapproving reprimand for only having lost 2lbs. I was repeatedly told off for not tracking food (I missed breakfast twice) and for having not lost enough weight. For me this was extremely damaging to my mental health and when I raised this I was met with a blank face 'why are you here then?'. I felt totally ignored in what I wanted my own fitness journey to be. I left quite quickly after. For a company that labels itself to be the world leading personal trainers, I think this is appalling behaviour. I will admit they are perhaps world experts at weight loss, but this is not how I would expect any personal trainer to behave, especially one that charges so much!

    What an incredible fitness journey the last 10 months has been. It has been an absolute pleasure to be surrounded by amazing, positive, inspirational, like-minded people, training / eating well and getting the most out of every day. Massive thank you to the brilliant Adam Bailey for all his advice, support, encouragement and friendship throughout. Hats off to him, it’s been a real team effort and I’ve loved every minute. Adam has helped me over achieve what I thought was possible and I highly recommend him, I couldn’t imagine reaching my fitness goals without him now. Adam has been on hand 24/7 not only in the gym during personal training sessions but also to offer nutrition and lifestyle advice. I never imagined it possible when I signed up for UP that 8 months later I would appear in the online edition of Men’s Health magazine. Huge thanks and acknowledgment to all at Ultimate Performance Manchester for creating such a positive, fun and inclusive atmosphere to train in. I also got involved with the Ultimate Performance Tough Mudder team! The impact the training / lifestyle choices has made to my health both physically and mentally has been life changing. For the first 6 months, I trained 3 times a week, injury free, helped me lose 24.6kg (3.8 stone) and bring my BF% from 28.2% to 11.6%. I’m delighted to write the review to 1/ document the change and encourage continued improvement and 2/ hopefully someone sees it who is in two minds whether to start training and doesn’t know where / how to begin. I can honestly say that the hardest part was not taking the leap sooner. If I can do it, so can you! You will get fitter, stronger, happier and love every minute! Go for it!

    Joining UP is one of the best decisions I've ever made. The facilities are absolutely top notch, but more importantly the atmosphere, and culture of support, is second to none. My coach, Lisa, is more than just a trainer. She's my biggest cheerleader, and she pushes me incredibly hard on and off the gym floor. My journey hasn't always been smooth, but Lisa has been there for me every step of the way and I cannot thank her enough. I'm so excited to see what we can achieve together.

    I joined UP in September 2021 as I wanted to change my approach to fitness and nutrition. As a lover of fitness, I was spending 6/7 days a week doing cardio/running with minimal resistance training but was not seeing the results that I wanted, which was to lose some weight, feel strong, gain muscle definition and improve my overall body confidence. After seeing the results of UP online and with my 40th Birthday approaching I decided to join UP. From the first point of contact with UP they have been nothing but friendly and professional. Noel, my trainer made me feel at ease with the whole process from the start and listened to what I wanted to achieve from my initial 12 week programme. Noel was extremely knowledgeable and focused on educating me about nutrition, training techniques and getting the basics right, which is what would support me achieving my results. I trusted Noel’s approach and as a result I lost 10kg, I now have abs!, and most importantly my confidence and understanding of training and nutrition has improved drastically. I have also learnt that less is more when it comes to training and by doing ‘quality resistance training’ this is what helped me achieve my results. I now spend less time in the gym, I do minimal cardio, instead focusing on my daily steps alongside my resistance training 3/4 times a week. When you join UP you think there is going to be some magical process to get the results, in fact the one thing that UP does advocate is that you need to be committed and work hard to achieve the results you want. There are no short cuts or fad diets, the process is an investment in your health and what you are taught at UP will stay with you forever. The whole team of trainers at UP have a fantastic work ethic, they are dedicated, hardworking but more importantly they are invested in their clients and their goals. For me, I was clear with my goals from the start, and Noel listened to these adapted my training and nutrition, his constant encouragement and dedication has pushed me to achieve what I wanted. I have loved every minute of my training with him so much, I am staying at UP to further progress my training, with new goals set I am excited to see what I can achieve next! From the moment you step foot in a UP gym you know you are going to be working with the best PT’s. For those who want more than a transformation this is the best place to come and for the ladies that are scared to lift weights, it does not make you bulky, being strong is the best feeling in the world!

    Being a new dad and recovering from brain surgery I had put on quite a bit of weight so I did my research to work with a group of professionals in the body transformation game, Ultimate Performance fit that glove perfectly so I jumped in 100%. I was valued and taken care of right from the very start. With my amazing trainer David, he knew exactly what I needed to do, from my training schedule right down the most important part..... Nutrition. I went from 18% BF to 7% BF, I had abs in exactly 8 weeks that's what David tole me after our first consultation, still blows me away thinking how quick that result was. David kept me on track the whole journey. So if you're thinking about body transformation, don't think anymore, these guys know their stuff and some. Throw you're seat belt on and enjoy the journey, you owe it to that phenomenal body of yours, enjoy and thanks again Ultimate Performance and David, you rock brother 🤙🏾

    I first started training at UP in May with my girlfriend, I had a secret proposal planned for the October and knew I wanted to be in good shape for it. More than that, I knew it was important for my girlfriend to be in better shape as well so she would want to look back at the pictures. UP has acted as a springboard in other areas of my life, I used the found confidence and improved stamina to start Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I'm really enjoying that. One thing that I believe would surprise most people is the holistic approach taken by UP, where they look to optimise all facets of your health, and I've benefitted greatly from this, namely from the emphasis on proper sleep. It goes without saying that I would recommend UP to anyone interested, the professionalism of the staff sets them head and shoulders above the competition.

    Without doubt the best decision I have made in regards to my health and fitness. Excellent training environment that is really welcoming, UP guarantees results as I have seen first-hand. Enormous credit goes to Aaron, he is unbelievably knowledgeable in all areas of training and nutrition as well as the science behind it all. He created a training structure and nutrition strategy specifically for my goals, which has delivered unreal results that I could never have expected ordinarily. Can’t recommend UP enough!

    I've had an incredible experience at UP Manchester, and it's all thanks to my fantastic trainer, Steve J. I started my fitness journey here in January 2023 with a 36-week program, for the first time ever in myself, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. Best investment ever made to myself. Steve is not just a trainer; he's a true motivator and expert in his field. His personalized approach to fitness has made every session challenging, enjoyable, and tailored to my specific goals. His knowledge and dedication shine through, creating a positive and supportive environment that keeps me coming back for more. Every time he knows exactly when is my last rep (before I know it) and help me beat myself one rep at a time. What sets UP Manchester apart is the genuine commitment to clients' success. The facility is well-equipped, clean, and the staff is always friendly and encouraging.     I decided to bite the the bullet and sign up to Ultimate Performance after losing my mojo for training following injuries and work commitments left me out of shape and losing fitness. It was 100% the right decision! After years of struggling to find enthusiasm for training and not getting any results from what I was doing, in 12 weeks I have drop 10kg, 7% body fat and the abs are back! I train with Steve Jones who has been incredible… Incredibly strict and incredibly supportive! We push hard in training, but we also laugh a lot. The nutrition side of things is brilliant and Steve is literally always at the end of the phone to answer any random questions I have. I feel the best I have in a long time and my entire attitude to diet and training has changed. I genuinely cannot recommend highly enough. If you’re thinking about making long term changes don't put it off, sign up today , you won’t regret it!

    I’ve been coming here for a few months now and couldn’t recommend it any more! The staff are all brilliant and are there to get you to any goal you may have. I have been training with Nelly and so far am down almost 10 KG. It’s definitely hard work but they make sure to guide you and teach you about how to look at your nutrition and health. Central location with all the top of the line equipment and super clean facilities with showers & changing rooms on site. No goal is too small or too big they’re to help you become the best version of you!

    The team at Ultimate Performance Manchester go above and beyond to ensure your experience is like no other fitness and transformation gym . From the minute I got in touch I felt comfortable, inspired and supported every step of the way. The UP family are genuinely interested in you, your life outside of the gym and how they can tailor your programme to run along side this to get the best results. The wealth of knowledge and experience that the team have enables them to get the best out of you. I come out of a session feeling empowered , exhausted and like I have really made a difference.     A great decision! I joined UP in April and 16 weeks later I am 16kg down and feeling stronger than I have in a long time. For the past few years I had travelled a lot with work and had let my health and fitness suffer as I struggled to get any routine and consistency in my diet and training. The support I’ve received from UP and my trainer, Connor Walker, has really shifted my mindset to try to improve everyday with focus on sleep, steps and tracking my diet. I signed up for 12 weeks initially but continued for another 12 and am considering carrying on beyond that as I’m genuinely enjoying the training and the visible progress that I’m making. It is a lot of money, but I absolutely don’t regret it as I’m on the way to achieving the results that I hoped for. Thanks UP!!

    Hands down the best personal training experience you’ll ever get! Ultimate for a reason and most definitely worth the investment. And I say that from experience - I’m a returning client, who just didn’t trust anyone else to provide the level of service, knowledge, expertise and accountability UP does. The entire team are nothing but welcoming, friendly and approachable from Gym Manager Steve to my Personal Trainer Laurence (who is amazing and constantly pushing me beyond my limits, bringing the fun, encouragement, education and understanding throughout). Most importantly and clearly visible is that every team member strives to deliver the best and I’d say is more invested than the trainee - they want to get those results just as much as you, if not more.     I came to UP because I had concerns about my BMI, I wanted to improve my health, and fitness. I knew I needed to make changes to accomplish my goals, and after my consultation with trainer Noel, I'm now 8 weeks into my transformation program at UP, and it has become clear that I made the right choice. Thanks to Noel's experience and knowledge, he has been able to pass on valuable information in my training that hasn't just helped me but also my wife when we train together. I started at 90kg, and now I weigh around 78kg (-12kg loss). I can now fit into clothes that I thought I would need to throw away. This has exceeded all my expectations, and I still have 4 weeks to go. You will not get this level of experience, attention, or knowledge anywhere else. Highly recommended and I'm looking forward to the next 4 weeks.

    I have just finished 16 weeks of training at ultimate performance and I can honestly say it has been life changing . Laurence my trainer has been incredible from start to finish . He has fully supported me day in day out . All the staff at U.P have always been so friendly and caring. The food choices and exercises have always been adapted to my needs . I suffer with scoliosis and Laurence has always ensured that I am safe when exercising and he adapts each session to ensure I am pain free .     My time at UP has been incredible and it’s by far the best investment I’ve made. UP have transformed me in many ways. From developing a healthier lifestyle, building my relationship with food, understanding the importance of sleep and nutrition. I walked into UP at my heaviest, low in confidence and recovering from a shoulder injury. I very quickly re-gained confidence and strength in my shoulder and I’m now lifting more than ever, plus I’m around 10kgs down in 10 weeks! This time has had a positive impact on my mind, body but also my work and personal life. I can’t thank my PT (Steve) enough - my results are from your support, gruelling workouts and guidance. You’ve taught me how to train in the gym whilst having the simplest diet - which I couldn’t figure out for years. Your an absolute legend.     Quite simply, an amazing experience at UP Manchester. My trainer, Tom Picton, has been first class throughout. I have never lifted weights in my life but, under his excellent and professional guidance, I have significantly increased my body strength, lost a huge amount of weight (which I never thought possible) and gained a far better understanding of nutrition and its effects on the body. The gym is welcoming and friendly. It is expertly managed by Steve Chambers. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to others motivated to make big changes in their lives.

    UP has been on my radar for a few years now and each summer after coming back from holiday I have looked it up and decided that I wasn't able to commit (45-mile round trip - 3 hours out of my day). Hitting 61 this year training every day but with no improvement I decided I needed to enrol. I had an assessment with Steve the Gym Manager, and he paired me with Connor which was a great choice. I'm 7 weeks in and had a 6kg weight loss so far, Connor takes photos and measurements every 2 weeks, and I can see my body shape changing - I never considered myself overweight but had stubborn fat. My food has been refined as we've gone along and the UP Transform plan is working, I'm now the lightest I have been in over 4 years in a small space of time. Connor has great attention to detail, and leaves no room for me taking it easy, but that's why I'm here. Initial sign-up was 36 Sessions and will be continuing my journey with UP and Connor.

    When I was looking for a gym to join I wanted to improve my physique and build the confidence and knowledge to be able to keep improving in the future, with no prior experience in fitness/gym culture I was hesitant when joining UP, believing the results shown were too good to be true and worried it wasn't worth the money however less than 8 weeks into my transformation I am already seeing results I can confidently say no other service/gym could provide. The gym and staff are all very welcoming and comfortable allowing people who are self conscious about gyms to feel very comfortable. When starting in the gym with no knowledge at all, it was daunting to begin with however my Trainer Isobel has adapted to me to help me learn. With each dumbbell press and rep she encourages me and pushes me to work harder and is as excited as I am with each goal. Isobel`s provided a personal/friendly and extremely professional journey for my transformation that I am so grateful for. Outside of the gym I am a more confident/ healthier and happier person with people I know noticing and commenting on these benefits as well. I can still have a normal/active social life with Isobel advising me with any questions like what to eat on a meal out. My time so far with UP has changed my life at the moment and for the future. Because of these reasons/results so I am looking to extend my membership.

    My trainer is Lisa Patel and I just have great things to say about her! I really recommend her. She’s fun, supportive, very knowledgeable and most important she kept me motivated even when my body was not showing the results we wanted. My experience with UP has been very positive, Ive lost 13kg during the programme I’ve joined and I achieve the goal I wanted. It is an investment as it’s not cheap but it was worth it. All the UP team is lovely and kind. There is a nice atmosphere at the gym which makes it welcoming and enjoyable to train there.

    Hi, I joined UP Manchester in December month last year and I found it pretty effective. However this review is dedicated to my PT Stephen Jones at UP Manchester. I am grateful to him and owe my fitness progress on fat loss to him, I found he is professional yet kind, patient and understanding. His encouragement has given me the confidence that I needed to stick to my diet and training in this program. He was always there to support and guide me and very much reachable on cellphone. After ten weeks I am happy with my progress as body fat reduced from 24% to 12% and I feel assured that with his continued training guidance and diet program I would be able to achieve my goal to build great muscle mass and a perfect beach body. Cant wait to begin next phase in the journey to boost muscles (bulking). HUGE thanks to you Steve for everything!! Wish you great in your future.

    With a welcoming staff team and great program, my time at UP has been a defining experience. Juris, my PT is invested and holds me to account for my performance both inside and outside the gym.     Joining UP was the best decision I’ve ever made and I wish I’d done it sooner. It’s not only helping me get my younger body back but it’s completely changed my lifestyle which was getting out of control. I’m only 11 weeks in but the difference already is unbelievable and I’m starting to feel confident again. I’ve never felt comfortable in other gyms but Joe always puts me at ease. He pushes me to reach goals that I never thought I was capable of and I can’t wait to continue my journey and see what we can achieve. Can’t recommend UP enough. They really are the best.

    Joining UP has been the best decision I’ve ever made. Never had I ever though I’d be the weight and shape I’m in now. My personal trainer (Darragh) educated me on the importance of nutritious food and the importance of muscle mass. When joining UP my focus was primarily on weight loss, the increase in muscle mass is just another bonus to my transformation as well as feeling more strong and fit in my day to day life. I thank Darragh as well as the whole team at UP who have been so friendly and approachable in these last few months. I am so grateful to have discovered UP

    I'm not what one would call a natural athlete, yet I've had a brilliant experience at UP Manchester. Working with Adam has been a game-changer; his dedication, professionalism, and positive attitude has made working towards my goals not only possible but enjoyable. Throughout my time here, not only have I seen changes in my physique, Adam's also taught me a lot about training and nutrition. I was an absolute novice in the gym when i started, but now I have the confidence and knowledge to move forward and continue to develop when my time at UP comes to an end. All in all it's been great. I couldn't recommend UP Manchester highly enough.

    I struggle to express how amazed I am at the results I've achieved so far whilst at U.P., losing 54.6kg (127.8kg -> 73.2kg) between July 2021 and April 2022. Kylie and the other trainers have been instrumental in changing my life, filling me with confidence and supporting me throughout. The quality of each session is exceptional and Kylie has been quick to answer any questions I've had regarding training or diet. Each day is tracked within the U.P. transform app, allowing me to constantly see the progress I've made and get in contact if needed. Throughout, the training and diet have been adapted to match my changing ability and needs to ensure I was on track to achieve my goals. I cannot thank Kylie and the other trainers at U.P. enough. It's truly a life changing transformation.
