👍 Often walk through Broadoak park with my daughter Io to Worsley and back. It's basically just greenery by the side of the Bridgewater canal and some fields but it's a nice little walk. Great for pictures too as I've taken plenty along the route People often mention walk, good, plants, garden, Great, great, cafe, Lovely, selection, Nice,

All the paths on the loopline have been done and it's now great as you can walk miles without getting muddy. The paths are well maintained so are suitable for walkers, bikers, runners and pushchairs. The loopline are pretty and you can still see evidence of the old trainline and stations which makes it intetesting

Lovely staff in cafe, food yummy & reasonably priced. Great selection of pots, water features & very talented local artist, Bob's paintings, which I'm the proud owner of three of these.

I bought some cute cacti here yesterday. The prices were good and it was nice going into a real shop to see what choice they had.

Recently been updated with a new carpark and resurfaced walkways. Plenty of routes around the park including connections to the canal and the loop line. Popular place for dog walkers and joggers. Not a park if you are looking for a children's play area as in there are no swings or slides.

Nice place to walk with a dog. They love it. There is a park run every Saturday morning. It's a good way to start the weekend

A listed Greenfield site that is significant for being the last remaining open space in Salford as enclosed by the motorway. Historically, an area that makes a valuable contribution to the rural aspect and character of Worsley; and an important piece of the recreational jig-saw, that includes the woods, canal walks and loop-line to which it helps connect. Unfortunately, it is presently also under threat of development.

Went this morning for bedding plants. 2 chaps outside helpful enough without being pushy. Plants seem really well cared for compared to our visit to B and M the night before where nearly all plants looked as though they'd been in a bushfire. Minor criticism was pricing wasn't clear on 'some' of the plants. Clean and tidy with a cafe(did not visit). We had snorkers in the oven on a low light at home , so returned to polish them off.

Pleasant garden centre with good plants and helpful staff A coffee shop is attached for drinks and light lunches which is also very good.

Had a walk round the garden centre and it was filled with lovely plants. Spoilt it by sitting down for a cup of tea each. The cafe owner should have been wearing a mask and carrying a pistol because he was the biggest robber we've come across for a long time. Two tea bags and some boiling water came in at £6 which beats Manchester Airport by a pound!

Beautiful walk through woods along the canal etc anytime of day. Walk the dog, walk for fun, walk for fresh air or dare I say... Jog or run it. Good paths can be a little muddy in parts, but those bits are easily avoided. Sections from car parks are available to baby buggies and wheelchair users. Wortha visit all year round.👍👍👍👍👍

It's small and friendly though it just can't compete/compare to a big, well known garden centre in terms of product diversity. But you support your local area as much as possible ❤️

Should be a place for the garden tools that you need! The cafe will be a good place to spend a morning on the weekends!

The guys at Broadoak are the BEST Lovely big selection of plants, very reasonable prices compared to other local garden centres. Can always have a laugh and a joke with the guys that own it, made me laugh today about the price of fish and chips these days 😂 Very knowledgeable, I'm always asking for advice and they know exactly what I need and what I should do Best garden centre in Salford 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Lovely array of plants and flowers with great colour and variety, nice cosy cafe once inside as well, very affordable and kind and helpful staff on hand.

The cafe is gorgeous, run by a lovely lady who kindly let us stop for coffee & cake despite the fact that it was closing time. The garden centre was a bit of a let down. Most of the plants inside are fake (which I understand the need for but I was looking for real stuff). I went home without buying anything - which is not normal! Outside there's a nice selection, all quite reasonably priced. Also, the whole place is really anti-pushchair, narrow aisles & steps. Even the entrance is inaccessible so we went in through the exit & despite our struggles up & down the stairs, we were never even spoken to by the staff.

Popped in at this place with my client, who has dementia on a very wet afternoon. We chose to have a cream tea but with a hot chocolate for one of them, they kindly changed tge tea to a hot choc for the same price. Lovely place, will come again.

Drove past here a few times and finally decided to call in. When I got to the till, I asked the cashier (older man, beard) what the exact species was called. He laughed at me and arrogantly snorted "no one knows any cactus names". Not sure if he spoke down to me like that because I'm a younger woman or if he just wanted to protect his idiocracy. Anyway, I didn't want to embarrass the poor chap, but I was buying an Echinopsis. I've narrowed the exact species down to Echinopsis subdenudata which is apparently the most common cactus species that's sold in the UK. Looks great invetween our Echinopsis peruviana and Lophophora williamsi. Shame about the dude that thinks its OK to patronise someone just because they haven't bothered to learn their stock. Haven't gone back since and I don't intend to.

Not far from the house. Take our two mutt's there and then onto the loop line. You'd think I was in the middle of the country side but no! M60 motor way isn't too far.

One of my favourite parks to go to locally! Great for running, Amazing for outdoor activities, super for your dogs. You can either make it a short walk or a long walk following the loop line. 10/10 would recommend.

Nice for a gentle Sunday afternoon stroll. There's a mixture of good solid paths near the free carpark and some wet and muddy stretches the further away you go. Nice selection of tree varieties. A small duckweed covered pond exists too. I enjoyed the walk back along the Bridgewater Canal.

Visited for the first time, looking for rose bushes, and other outdoor plants. Found the stock levels very low, and very poor quality. Not much choice of anything. The place is clean and tidy. I asked a chap behind the counter where certain items were, and he seemed less than interested at helping me, even though he was just casually perched on the counter swinging the lead. Won't be going ever again, poor service and poor stock quality and levels.

This is a great place for walking, cycling and dog walking. You can choose to travel along the loop line starting at Monton and come off on the East Lancashire Road and then connect up with the Bridgewater Canal and return to Monton. There are so many different routes to take depending on the mileage you want to do. Just enjoy it.
