Lovely place for brunch and drinks. Had a nice catch up with some friends. Customer service was brilliant and were very attentive. Food was also well presented. The atmosphere just gave me a lovely American style setting. Was lovely. Hope to visit again

Both a hit and a miss at the same time?! We went on two separate occasions to @fressrestaurant and have some mixed feelings. Vibe 💖💖💖💖🤍 We felt like Fress had a good vibe. It’s small but decorated with a really cool feel. We appreciated the cute velvet pink chairs and neon signs. They also had offers for cocktails and bottomless and we think it’d be a good place to for these kind events. Service 💖💖🤍🤍🤍 We felt a little let down by the service unfortunately. The staff seemed stressed and possibly down a person or two (not sure if this was the case but we did feel bad for them). We tried a few times to speak to someone about getting the bill after waiting a pretty long time and found it difficult to catch anyone’s eye. Taste 💖💖💖💖🤍 The first time we went we both ordered the ‘Smashed Avocado’. One with streaky bacon (added halloumi) and one with smoked salmon. We were blown away not just by the presentation and the delicious taste but also by the portion size! Image 5 you can see there was two pieces of toast with loads of avo and smoked salmon on each (not to mention the sauces and poached eggs). The second time we went though, the bread tasted kinda stale and the poached eggs were overcooked and almost acidic (swipe to the end for the video). Both times the coffee was super milky and not great. That being said, they’re known for their desserts, cocktails and dinner. We don’t know if it was just a bad day the second time, or we got really lucky the first time. What’s your experience? Instagramability: 💖💖💖💖🤍 The dishes were beautifully presented. Couldn’t be better and we wanted to give 5/5 but the coffee’s were so disappointing, we’ve had to reduce a heart. •Deal: go bottomless £15pp (+meal cost) •VG/VE options: Yes Insta&Tiktok: UKFOODBESTIES

I came here for Brunch with my son. He had the steak wrap, I ordered the Poached Eggs with waffles and mushrooms and halloumi. Portions were a good size and food had lots of flavour. The waffles were nice but I didn't enjoy the combo of waffles with eggs but glad I tried something different. We then ordered the French Toast with baked alaska which was very nice. I found the prices reasonable given the location and it was very busy but this didn't impact on the service. Nice decor. Steak, chicken and beef is halal. Good variety on the menu for Brunch, lunch and dinner.

Poor quality food which was created for pretty pictures ONLY - lacks substance/taste entirely. Poor attempt at full English & vegetarian breakfasts (it’s 2022 who would think such problems exist). French toast was dry, chicken was tasteless & waffles were too thick - so very doughy…. I could carry on! To think the drinks were bad too - how you get an ice tea wrong is beyond me! Menu talks more than what could be delivered - definitely needs work & perhaps a menu test before serving such mediocre food to paying customers. DO NOT LISTEN TO TIK TOK & AVOID! There are certainly better establishments in Manchester for your money… Or better yet, stay at home and make it yourself! The only saving grace was the staff who were perfectly nice, but couldn’t offer more than a sorry & small discount which was nothing compared to the amount of terrible food served… I’d rather get our money back!

Great breakfast/brunch place in Manchester's Northern Quarter (which has no shortage of the same). The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food is very high quality. Would highly recommend this place.

1 Hour wait for food we got 4 prawns in a dish and an over-fried samosa chaat, some system issues order never went through, place was empty no one realised we were sat there waiting with about 5 staff sat around until I asked where it was they checked kitchen didn't even know about it. Felt like food was rushed as I was thinking to just cancel they didn't want that. Offered drinks for the wait but appetite had gone we had to rush out as parking was ending too. What a rubbish experience. I've visited many times before what seems to be the new owners took over and it was class. I would try the brunch as it was always good but I'd probably go to the kitchen and check my order is there myself.

Came here yesterday and it was busy, however we got seated quickly. Overall the customer service was lovely here and the vibes are very nice! The food came fairly quickly and tasted good too. The tea took a bit longer to come but at a good time still!

Spontaneously dropped by Fress whilst walking by, to grab some breakfast with my partner. We chose the Full English breakfast and the Brekkie beast burger. The good: the food was hot and freshly made, with good portions. Didn't take too long to arrive either. The cheesy hash and scrambled eggs were yummy and the staff were attentive in catering to what we needed. The less-good: unfortunately lacking in flavour and quality of meat compared to some other places we've tried in Manchester. Not a fan of their flat sausage. The sourdough toast was also pretty hard, but it was better when it had absorbed the baked bean sauce! The burger was very messy to eat! Overall the experience was good, but we wouldn't rush back. We definitely left will full bellies though. 🥓🍳

Great experience here. Found it on maps last minute while on a city break here and visited twice during our 3 days. Food was nice and favourite was the cinnamon crunch French toast. We had various things between us 3 and everyone was happy with their meals Also the martinis were amazing…honestly ! And with the 2 for 1 offer this was so good Service was great and hopefully got everyone we met those days but shoutout to Connor, Rubel, Libby and Vicky. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Love from ireland !

Me and my partner came here for brunch. The food was amazing, I had the veggie breakfast and my partner had the American breakfast. Really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant, although, it was very quiet. Staff were really friendly and service was really quick

Absolutely stunning place to grab some amazing breakfast, which is just delicious. From the hip vibes and colourful decor this place is awesome. The staff are so friendly and funny with great banter and the food and drinks wow. Really hits the spot a true gem, cant wait to visit again.

Tasty food and good service. I went for the bottomless brunch and I choose the strawberry prosecco, which was amazing and staff kept it topped up the minute I finished it. I would visit again

Would visit again. I got the halal full English was very filling, flavourful and perfect on price, not a fan of the mushroom tho. Service was spot on, food time was average and everything tasted freshly made. Desi tea was surprisingly very nice. Atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Definitely would be visiting again. HALAL

My recent experience at Fress Bar and Restaurant during a girls’ meetup was less than ideal for several reasons. While the ambiance could be described as visually pleasing, that was, unfortunately, the only high point of the visit. Firstly, the venue is not family-friendly, making it a non-starter for those with children. Throughout our time there, the staff kept reminding us to keep our kids seated, which made for an uncomfortable experience. Service-wise, the waitress was a tad too pushy, specifically when it came to encouraging us to order drinks. This didn’t feel like hospitality; instead, it came across as an unnecessary intrusion. Regarding food and beverages, the options are severely limited, especially for those adhering to Halal dietary guidelines. What’s more concerning is the lack of measures to prevent cross-contamination between Halal and non-Halal food items. I ordered a Chai Coffee Latte for £3.10, but the final bill came to £6.10 due to an array of additional taxes, which was a bit of a shock. In summary, Fress Bar and Restaurant may have a nice ambiance, but it falls short in several critical areas—family-friendliness, service, and value for money, to name a few. Unless you’re solely going for the aesthetics and are flexible about these other aspects, you might want to consider other dining options.

I came here from a place down the road after waiting for service for over 30 minutes and it was such a better experience, you know like a restaurant/ eatery should be. Seated immediately. Order taken within ten minutes. Food arrived approximately 15 to 20 minutes laters and was delicious. I especially liked cheesy hash, a new addition to a full English breakfast I’ve not seen elsewhere. Busy place but demand is well managed by diligent and professional staff.

Fress is always on point!!! Grabbed a breakfast before hitting the road out of town... We had avacado on toast with the salmon and lotus biscoff French toast... Both were amazing!!! Rubel and mel were waiting on and made sure we had everything we needed... very cool guys, quality service 😎 Highly recommend!!!

Ended up here by chance, had good reviews - and we’re so glad that we did!! Great service and friendly staff Highlight - Mocktails made by Connor Not found many places that do great drinks, Connor knows how to make a great tasting drink, had to order another one before we left Food was also very nice, salt and pepper chips and buttermilk chicken was a hit, would order again, and the steak and eggs were divine. Decently priced considering your in main city centre. We’re definitely coming back again when we’re next in Manchester.

I recently dined at Fress and had an exceptional culinary experience that left me thoroughly impressed. The selection of dishes we tried showcased the restaurant's dedication to quality and flavors. For starters, we enjoyed the Haryali Chicken Tikka and the Red Lamb Chops. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Haryali Chicken Tikka was tender and marinated in aromatic spices, creating a delightful fusion of herbs and spices that was a true delight for the palate. The Red Lamb Chops were succulent and had a deliciously rich and smoky taste that made them an instant favorite. Moving on to the mains, the Murgh Afghani was a standout. The tender chicken was enveloped in a creamy and fragrant sauce that had just the right amount of spices. Paired with the naan, it was a satisfying and flavorful combination that left me craving for more. To top it all off, the Oreo milkshake was the perfect indulgence. Creamy and rich, with the delightful crunch of Oreo cookies, it provided a sweet and refreshing contrast to the savory dishes. The overall experience at Fress was fantastic. The food was of exceptional quality, and the staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the enjoyable dining atmosphere. The menu's creative offerings and dedication to flavors truly set Fress apart. I highly recommend Fress to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in a vibrant and welcoming setting. Whether it's the flavorful starters, mouthwatering mains, or indulgent shakes, you're in for a treat that's sure to satisfy your cravings.

Just had a delicious butter chicken dish and my friend had a vegetarian option. Staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. We will be going again for breakfast tomorrow. That's how impressed I was with the standard and level of service, plus its great value for your money.

Got their 50% off voucher for their new Street Kitchen menu launch and it was easy to book a table online. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered Rangeen Pani Puri, Laal Lamb Chops, Aarchari Lamb, Amritsari Kulcha Naan, and drinks. Food and drinks came at reasonable time. The panipuri was quite different to how it's usually served and we enjoyed it as we had to guess which 'shot' was what water. The Laal Lamb Chops were tender with a hint of spices that weren't overpowering the natural flavour of the lamb. The Aarchari Lamb and Amritsari Kulcha Naan were our favourite. Flavoursome. The only downside was the portion size. Not sure whether it was to do with being 50% off, the portion size was on the smaller side. The Aarchari Lamb ('Big Plates' on the menu) had only 5 bitesize pieces of lamb. Nonetheless, I'd still recommend this place for the food, friendly staff and the atmosphere. It was fairly busy.

Lovely little place. Visited for afternoon tea and a deal in the week and was lovely. Different to have waffles instead of sandwiches. Delicious, me and and my friend ate everything. Will visit again.

I came here with friends as it’s advertised on Meerkat Movies. While the server told us they don’t do that offer, we were getting 50% off the bill, anyway. My Murgh Reshmi Kebab made for a satisfying starter, but the Butter Paneer was a heavenly main! The chunks of paneer were so big and plentiful, and the tomato sauce…one of the best. It had the perfect thickness and was full of flavour. Fortunately I ordered a Butter Naan on the side to mop it all up! Plenty of vegetarian options graced the menu. The server marked all of the available dishes for my vegan guest. We were all very impressed!

My friend and I both had the vegan full English. I liked that it came with some really nice vegan sausages, mini tomatoes and tofu scramble - the latter is hard to get on a full English in Manchester. However, the food arrived like warm, almost cold and our coffee was spilled before arriving at the table and just served messy and partly empty like it was. It should have been replaced. The staff wasn't very attentive and the atmosphere was very strange. A bit dark, cold and loud. Just didn't feel welcoming.

Me and my partner went after looking for some restaurants that we knew would serve some gluten free options. The staff were amazing at double and triple checking our food choices to make sure they were suitable. The drinks were great. The staff were super friendly. Our waitress was lovely. Prices are really reasonable. We did take advantage of the 50% off deal at the moment for their new menu. Which made it a super cheap date night. Would thoroughly recommend this lovely restaurant.
