Didn't know what to expect from this place but was blown away when we visited. We sat inside towards the back and the decor, atmosphere and service were all amazing. Once you take your seat you can order from any / all of the different vendors and different waitors bring over your food and drinks. I ordered the nachos, bread and olives, cheese and meat board, steak and an oyster and loads of cocktails. Everything was perfect and the vibes were great.

I was there for Repercussion Festival this year and I really loved my time there. It's one of the best places I have ever seen for concerts, events and music festival. Underground, industrial but also futuristic. A must if you are in Manchester.

The look of this place is awesome. It looks industrial and cool but then it is an industrial unit, so.... It's really easy to get to, just across from Piccadilly Station. We went on a week night and everything was great. There were two events on, one inside and one outside. We were shown to our table as soon as we arrived, it's all table service, based on ordering through an app. It was well organised and the staff knew what they were doing. The app could be better, if you press back to many times you get logged out which is annoying. You also need to be careful to order from the correct bar (inside/outside). There isn't a huge range of drinks but enough to find something for everyone. The service on the drinks was great! Really quick and efficient. There is a really good range of food options. I didn't eat but my friend really enjoyed his pizza slice. Can't say any more. There seemed to be plenty of toilets but might be different at capacity.

Attended a Music Concert (The National) recently, have to say I was quite impressed with the whole set up. Absolutely huge inside which is great and all but from the very back you'd struggle to see the main stage. Could definitely use some screens to help with that. The facilities were excellent, lots of toilets for males and females with no queues that I experienced (though one of the cubicles I visited was, interesting, can't really blame the venue for that though). I will note that the reason for dropping a star was the ridiculous cost of alcoholic drinks once in the place. And I mean ridiculous. They where selling 4 x 330ml cans of Asahi lager for £20 - You can get the same in supermarkets for less than £5. And, they weren't even cold. I expect to pay more at a Concert for beer, it goes without saying, but that hurt and I went without all night because of it. Other than the beer pricing I'd happily attend another concert here and look forward to it.

Amazing place with great ambience. This is a re-purposed depot which is now an entertainment centre/food place. Plenty of food options, lots of different seating areas indoor and outdoor and there is also ice skating rink in the compound. Suitable for family visits, dates or hangouts for a couple of drinks.

Could not change this to freight island which is effectively the back of this building. For freight island you have to book and check abouts you want to sit as there are lots of different settings inside. Awesome warehouse restaurant bar setting. Very impressive.

Visited Freight Island, a great place with multiple food vendors to select from. Reserved a table in advance (still had to queue so would recommend going 10-15 min before you allocated time slot). There was music, food, drinks and an arcade to enjoy (10 tokens = £5).

Cool venue, but….. Depot Mayfield looks amazing, it’s a huge, industrial venue that has been beautifully decked out, however this is where the praise stops. Getting into the venue means dealing with airport type security, separate lines, bag checks and even sniffer dogs. Fair enough you might think; there’s a huge number of people tightly packed into the room and they want to be as cautious as possible. The security staff are what makes this problematic. Rude, surly and deeply unpleasant. We were herded through multiple stages of the entrance by people in Hi-Vis jackets bellowing at us. There is no actual bar, so the insanely expensive drinks are like-warm at best. The stage is weirdly low, so it as extremely difficult for my, not exactly short, fiancé to see the band at all. And the sound mix was appalling. Favourite songs were an incoherent mush half of the time. Now, none of this would have really mattered too much, certainly not enough for a one star review had there been air conditioning. More than a thousand of us were packed in tightly to see The National. Hardly a band to induce mosh pits. We were all singing, swaying and dancing, but everyone in the venue was dripping with sweat, for the simple reason that there were no fans. It made the experience extremely uncomfortable throughout the show and I’m amazed that we didn’t see anyone pass out. Leaving the concert, my fiancé remarked ‘good gig, I’d never come to this venue again though’.

We are back. Great multi use venue with a great atmosphere. Very helpful staff and with such a central location the access is really easy. Thoroughly recommend

Amazing interior, wonderfully evocative of its industrial past, but an acoustic nightmare. Went to the craft beer festival - the noise levels and reverberation were horrendous. Everyone we spoke to (or yelled to!) agreed, and some of the bar workers were worrying how they’d get through the entire event over the two days.

One of the best clubs in the world. Insane range of music and artists who come to perform. 3 main rooms, the depot (big), concourse (medium) and the archive (small). On special events other rooms also open up as well. So near the train station too, so very convenient to travel. The warehouse gives great rave vibes, but only wish it didn’t leak every time it rained

Went for the Seconds Sunday Carvery and cannot recommend it enough! Lovely staff, decent prices, gorgeous food. The beef was cooked beautifully, I'm not usually a mash lover but (had I had the space) I would've had seconds of that alone and been happy! The venue itself was great too. The steps up to it seemed a little steep but inside was an awesome atmosphere. Loads of other bars and food vendors to choose from. Mens, women's and non-binary toilets, too!

The Mayfield Depot in Manchester is a historic railway depot that has been converted for various cultural and commercial uses. Located near Manchester Piccadilly station, the depot has been the site of music events, art exhibitions, and food festivals. It has also been used as a filming location for television and movies. Additionally, there are plans to further develop the area into a mixed-use space, including offices, leisure facilities, and green spaces. Overall, the Mayfield Depot contributes to the vibrant cultural landscape of Manchester. This night we had Pete Tong in residence at the Coca Cola national conference. You can get there by tram and it’s close to some decent hotels like Motel one etc. I took a taxi and it was pretty easy to find. The inside is huge and is great for creating bespoke conference themes.

Attended the Hacienda event ...I love it here. It's huge with loads of rooms ...never knew there were so many areas . I've only been once before and thought only one room but went in about four or five...it was absolutely ram packed so ability to move from dancefloor stage and bar was very difficult when carrying drinks ....drinks very expensive £10 for the majority of them ..I ended up spilling most of the drinks trying to work my way through the crowds ...nice area outside looking over the beautiful Christmas lights ..really pretty .. toilets were a bit of a mare ...queues and stinky ..but I suppose it's to be expected it was like an indoor festival ...what I really like is that these beautiful old warehouses are being put to good use . I grew up around ancoats and love the old mills ...I'm all for retaining the beauty of old verse new builds ...had a great night all in all and the security were brill polite and quick getting through . They had sniffer dogs which I wanted to just pet and Molly codle 😀 I'd be no good carrying illegal substances anywhere ( not that I would) I just wanted to play with the dogs

We went to Homobloc the festival itself was fantastic and the crowd amazing. The main issue really annoying what the heck is wrong with the loo, like for a permanent venue cannot they have proper toilet and the whole lake by the toilet entrance was gross. Otherwise the plantroom was really cool, in the main room Depot the sound wasnt greatest by the sides. Loved Homobloc overall! Manchester never fails to impress and offer a good party.

On a very rainy Sunday the weather did affect our visit. The walkways were flooded. More signage needed. Would like to see more eateries. Not enough WCs. The show was great

A hidden gem ! Lovey place and great atmosphere. Went to watch Le Clique but had a drink before and loved the venue. There are lots of steps, so could be a problem for some but great venue.

Attended a midweek gig. Was initially suspicious about depot working as good venue for normal gigs but any reservation was gone in about 30 minutes. Amazing atmosphere (besides the £9 beers!)

Went to watch LaClique Circus by Underbelly production on top of an old disused train station and wow! Blew us away what a show they put!! It’s a must see must visit! A Great mix of comedy, circus, cabaret. Worth every penny!

We saw The National play here in August 2022 and while we enjoyed the evening, you are only really assured a view of the stage/performers if you 6ft tall and above. My wife, who is 5.9ft couldn’t see a thing and I think she was in the majority. This was made worse by the fact that there aren’t sufficient screens for those who are too small or too far away. The faculties were otherwise very good.

I attended this venue 'freight island' for a work event. It's huge! Its a warehouse with wooden tables and benches but also has some plastic chairs. There are food stations dotted around such as pizza, burgers and fries etc, Lovely outdoor area which is covered and heated and also a garden area. The seated area near the stage is upstairs and I didn't see any wheelchair accessible points. There is also a higher level of seating which will have an elevated view of the stage. Overall I loved the relaxed atmosphere of the place.

Went for the 5th anniversary celebrations of Widows Empowerment Trust. They are doing some important work supporting widows and widowers. Great venue, not ideal for speeches.

Unique venue which has lots of different food and drinks places on site, within a huge warehouse. They had live music on a Saturday and so it was possible to sit around a table and catch up with friends but also have the music to enjoy.

Great venue. Live music on the evening that I went with great atmosphere. Menu app not that easy to navigate but managed to place food order.

The place's vibes is really good but the food is not, you'd think with multiple venues competing for customers it would be top. But yeah no, limited options for what turned out to be very microwave meal like food. I ordered the burger after the tacos cause those where not it. The burger was meh, so much potential for this place to be the go to for chilling, drinks and food. You have the first 2 on lock though, just fix the food especially because of what it costs

Went for The Hacienda Returns on the 2nd December 23. Had an amazing night. It was well organised, the DJs were 1st rate as were the Groups & Singers doing a PA. Excellent venue.
