By far the best vegan (fast) food I have tried so far. Very tasty, comforting, filling. Portions and toppings are quite generous. Very reasonably priced. I had the buffalo wings and the spicy loaded fries and it was £13.50 in total, and you get so full. Also, the staff are so friendly. The place has more outside seating and three tables inside, and they do takeout. Absolutely amazing place, a must visit! I highly recommend it and will be looking forward to coming back if I am in Manchester again.

I would give 4 and a half stars. The food was nice and fresh however it was extremely salty due to the salt content of the jalapeno itself. I like the QR code order system. Very easy to use.

Absolutely incredible!! Great selection of American junk food, all vegan. The staff is super lovely. While we were eating a stranger came up to us and asked where our food was from, because it looked so good.

Really enjoyed our kahuna burgers, spicy fries and cashew nut fries. You sit in a communal outdoor food arcade and can order via your phone from the vendors around. Good place for socialising. Undercover (under the Manchester ring road bridge). Also some outdoor areas.

Popped down for tea one day to try out some bits with a friend. We shared the cashew cheese sauce fries, kahuna burger and the philly cheese steak. I was a little bit sad as the food wasn't as great as I was expecting seeing as I've heard so many great things. The cheese steak was very cold when it came so was a little tough in texture to eat. And the fries were very odd, the texture and colour of the sauce looks very different to what I've seen other people get in reviews so not sure what went on there. The burger was good through, and felt unique to other vegan burgers I've tried which is a plus 👍 It was a bit of a shame but I think I just caught it on a bit of a bad day perhaps, I'll probably try again some time as I love supporting vegan businesses and it's somewhere I really want to love.

Get the wings and cheesy chips! These were incredible. The chefs were super friendly and provided recommendations. 10/10 would recommend. Perfect when your craving that vegan junk food goodness.

Filling, juicy, tasty vegan fast food! We opted for a takeaway on a sunny day and enjoyed it during a picnic. Just give it a try whenever, wherever.

Went today, family of 5, 3 kids, and everyone was blown away by the food and service. Tasty food, and great staff, what more do you want :-)

Amazing vegan junk food -- I took meat-eating family here and they were blown away. Just make sure you go hydrated and maybe take a container for leftovers as portions are generous and it's decadent/salty AF. Staff are friendly, there's a 15% student discount and the venue (Hatch) is entirely open-air and well-distanced, with lots of other good food and drink options. p.s. if getting takeout, it's a lot cheaper to go directly to Herbivorous than to order through Ubereats (good rule for life TBH)

I absolutely love this place. The wings are always spot, the sauce on top is delicious and I highly reccomend the cheesey chips!

I will say that I'm not Vegan, but eating something like that I think I could be in future... Delicious!

The nicest vegan wings I’ve EVER tasted. Buffalo sauce 10/10. Fries crispy and fresh. Literally can’t fault it. Also the woman who is running food in Hatch is so so lovely. Service 100%.

Chill place to grab a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere and relaxed setting. The food is very tasty and probably one of the best vegan junk food experience I have had. Come hungry as you will over-spend and you will have to chow down on a lot of food!

I really enjoyed myself but my partner had a transcend experience. They kept bringing up how fantastic the food was afterwards. The loaded mac and cheese is phenomenal. The only thing I don't enjoy is eating around really loud music, Hatch is a very loud and busy place, but I could not fault my meal at all.

Lovely food and very big portions; loved the cheezy fries. And the big Kahuna burger was, well, big and moreish! A great addition to Withington. My partner liked the 'chicken'. Also good choice of beers, they had Pomona cans if I recall. I must check out the Herbivorous in Hatch also.

Amazing food. The portion sizes are really good and the price was great too. I ordered the wings and the fried “chicken” burger and it was really good. I’m so devastated this place is closing down and hopefully it will reopen in another location.

The most delicious vegan fast food I've ever had! I had the wings and cheesy fries and it was perfect to fill me up (and warm me up) on a Friday afternoon. It was beyond tasty and I've been craving it ever since. The girls are so friendly and warm, I would highly, highly recommend!

Honestly can't get enough of Herbivorous. When we're looking for a takeaway, it's almost always the one we go for. The photo is of their signature dish - the Big Kahuna burger. I'm usually skeptical of pineapple in savoury dishes, but it really works so well with the teryaki sauce and the delish bacon. Love so many things but esp the Philly cheesesteak - Homemade seitan with roasted onions and peppers, and their crowning glory - the homemade cashew cheese sauce (all the cheesiness without the plasticy texture of a lot of vegan cheeses). The seitan is soo meaty and delicious 10/10

My favourite vegan food <3 found them at Stretford Foodhall and followed them to here. The buffalo wings and cheesy fries have only got better in that time! Best eaten in, but still delicious taken away or reheated.

It's so nice to find a place to eat where the whole menu is vegan. I tried the mac n cheeze with Seitan, OMG, it was delicious. The Seitan was cooked to perfection, and the sauce, 😋 I will definitely be going back and bringing some home. Well done, herbivorous. Wish there was one in Preston

Letting the vegan side down honestly. Waited 40 minutes for food whilst numerous dishes got brought out for the social media team to take pics of whilst we sat hungry and annoyed. Eventually got a refund and went elsewhere.

Really nice placement surrounded by other restaurants , amazing texture on the fake chicken burger. I found the chicken burger a bit too salty and felt it needed something like pickles in it but still a great crunch and texture. The philly cheesesteak loaded fries were also great but again posed the issue of being a bit too salty. Overall great place though and will be back again.

We visited Hatch on a whim , had a superb meal from Herbivorous, and the environment is so unique , it's inspiring. The food was delivered promptly, great service. The area near Herbivorous is accessible, perfect for wheelchair users and those with a mobility issue, the outdoor aspect makes some areas ideal for patients who need to vape discretely. All the facilities you'd expect from a great venue. Recommend visiting.

I never write reviews but this restaurant lives in my head. The loaded fries with wings are the best thing I've ever eaten. I have no idea how they get the wings that good. Hoping they come back on deliveroo after this lockdown ends.

That's was a best takeout I ever had ! ' chees fries ' absolutely number one, but burgers 10 out of 10 as well. Unbelievable taste, presentation and they even using paper packing. Highly recommended, I wish to have some pictures but the moment I had my first bite I wasn't thinking straight 😂

Headed over to visit these awesome guys from Sheffield and was not disappointed at all, food was full of flavour and very unique, honestly one of the best food establishments we’ve had the please of eating at. First time trying this place - Firstly, I am not vegan but I like to try different vegan foods! Overall the food tastes amazing, you will not be disappointed by that, the only reason I gave 4 stars is due to the price. Detailed review below... The kahuna Burger: The "beef" texture looked like real beef and holds its structure very well. The sauces on the burger were tasty and the actual "cheese" was very impressive. The actually burger bun was very nice. The size of the burger is small to medium, decent size but you may need a side. Cheese Fries: The cashew cheese sauce on the Paprika chips was very nice and flavoursome, the portion size is also decent, the only thing I would say is the flavour gets a bit overwhelming if consuming on its own without anything to break up the flavours but overall they are nice. Price: Looking at the menu online to looking at the menu in the restaurant, there is a difference in price from £1-£2 per item which was surprising. The total cost for a burger and chips was around £15, I enjoyed the food but I just can't justify paying that price for a burger and chips despite how lovely they taste and look. Overall the staff are lovely, waiting times are short, food is good, so I do definitely recommend trying the place for yourself even if it is just once.

After recently trying to eat more vegan food we were looking for new vegan restaurants. The best vegan food we have ever eaten. The burgers and the chicken wings were so delicious and I did not miss that it wasn’t real meat. And the cashew sauce too, wow so delicious!

I loved this so much I'm posting this review almost immediately after I finished eating. My partner and I went halves on a big kahuna, paprika fries and wings and cheesy fries and I've got to say, this is everything vegan food should be. I've been veggie for over 8 years and I have never had a better texture to a meat substitute than that of those wings. Everything was amazing, flavourful and visually appealing. Wings and cheesy fries were quite spicy but in an amazing way, some places just add heat but this is not the case for this restaurant; the resounding description for everything we had is delicious

Dry and overcooked. Could hardly chew or swallow it even after drenching in the dip. All I could taste was salt. Very disappointed after seeing the good reviews on here. Paprika fries tasted good though.
