We got our kitten from here over a year ago now and we couldn’t have asked for a better cat. We could really tell the owner was passionate about the care for the kittens and once lock down has lifted we’re definitely considering getting another kitten from here as they are well cared for, socialised and often come from unwanted litters.

Great family run traditional pet store if haven't got what you need they will go out of their way to help.

Really helpful & you can tell they have the animals best interest at heart. We got a hamster from here with all the stuff. Left fully informed about what to do with her ( we ve never had one before). Will continue to come & get supplies. Really recommend . Thanks Claire

I'm in too tropical fish and cold water fish. And I find this pet shop having everything I need. Great pet shop.

Good selection of fish, owner friendly and helpful as well as knowing her stuff. Will come back again. Was the only place around that stocked the tiny African frogs I was looking for, so that was a bonus. Only issue is parking but I suppose you could park in the retail park nearby or in the street behind the shop as I did.

Delightful family run business, always have time to talk to customers about what they want. If they haven't got what you want, they will do their best to get it for you, or to suggest somewhere else you can try. I drive past at least 4 other pet stores to go there.

Honestly my favourite pet shop. I’ve only started going here over the last couple of months and every time I’ve been the staff have been wonderful. Just today one of the ladies (sadly didn’t get her name) spent almost an hour talking to me about the fish and helping me decide which was the best fit for me and how to look after them. There’s also a really good selection of natural dog treats and raw food at really good prices. I couldn’t recommend this place more!!!

Very kind staff, gave very useful advice and information about keeping fish healthy, they sell fish advisory, won't ask you buy more fish. Highly recommended pet shop. I would definitely come back again

I love this shop! All the birds, small furries & fish are really well looked after plus the staff are very knowledgeable & super friendly. They are always well stocked with everything our pets like & they do a great selection of frozen raw food too for dogs. Our dog loves their selection of healthy treats to keep his teeth clean & to keep him stimulated. The fish are amazing! They often have unusual types as well as the regular ones. I find them to be well stocked & enjoy looking at them, they’re so healthy! It’s hard to find good independent pet shops these days but this is one of them! Don’t bother with the big chains, come here instead!!

Beautiful ,clean and very convenient.Staff very friendly and helpful.I bought 4 fish today.I will definitely buy from them again.I saw today a nice fish thank ,bigger then the one I have at home and I am planing to buy it.

Great shop if u need to cut the key. Fast and efficient service. No problems at all unlike some other shops when the key doesnt fit or keep getting stuck.Can highly recommend.

I have been getting my Tropical Fish from here for years. The owners have great knowledge of the animals and always have a great, well cared for selection of fish. Great shop!

I absolutely love this pet shop, all the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble, the variety of stock they have is brilliant also love all the fish, they stock a amazing variety of fish, we have purchased lots of fish for our tank which was also from the shop, the staff are always there to give any advice needed, I can’t recommend Sunderland pets & Aquatics - Tropical Fish enough, give them a try, you will not be disappointed

Been there twice this morning as the website says open, when we arrived both times its closed. This has happened a few times to us, think you need to update the website. If it wasn't for this I would have given 5 stars as great shop and friendly staff

Fantastic pet shop with really healthy, well looked after animals. The staff are lovely, friendly and knowledgable people. Definitely one of the best pet shops in the area.

Purchased a Syrian hamster from here a few week ago as we felt sorry for it. The living conditions for the hamster are awful and the cages are way too small. The hamster has handled badly when asked to see it and we were told it was a female. We got it home and into its cage to then find out it’s a male. The hamster was terrified, couldn’t reach into the cage without it running round the cage, tried to bite us and wouldn’t come near us. 3 weeks later he is still terrified and we still are unable to handle him.

I went in for a quick visit to look at supplies for my pets and take a quick look at the animals and when I went inside it smelled horrible and the conditions were not right for the animals being sold there. I wouldn’t reccomend going to this shop for their animals and I personally think the place should be shut down.

Zero customer service. No one available to help and the staff just sit around and chat even though they know you are waiting for help. If I wasn’t desperate i would have just walked out. Had to find product myself.

if you intend to go to this store on saturday between 10am - 2pm, you will not enter, i tried they were closed or not in there. I`m not complaining about the services or prices, just that their work time doesnt match what google maps says

Staff always friendly and really helpful. Will only come here for my girls pet hamsters as they are without fail healthy, happy and already very tame and placid. Great shop 👍👍👍👍
