Car park is a little unusual - in that it automatically opens the shutter when you pull up to it, has motion sensor lights which are probably energy efficient but also makes it slightly creepy in the second before it comes on, and you need your carโ€™s registration number to unlock the door upon returning. The driving paths were decent widths and spots were medium to small but adequate as there were plenty of spots available. Similar to other Manchester car parks it is expensive, but worked well for us.

NCP are an absolute joke. Parked here a 6.15am on 28th June and left at 9pm that evening. Three weeks later and the app says I am still parked in Oxford St. That's despite leaving having an MOT done and so on since then. NCP do not answer the phone, when they do they assure you it will be remedied but don't do anything. They don't respond to emails and complaints.

VERY SECURE - So much so, there's no cameras throughout except on entry and exit. My car was broken into and there's nothing at all they could do. How can they charge so much and have such terrible security? Usually you pay for quality, but not at NCP. I would not be surprised if we found out they're "in on it", look at the reviews to see how many car break ins there have been at this one location.

Please avoid using the NCP app for payments. After leaving the parking area, the app starts a new session automatically, even after paying. NCP's customer service is terrible; they don't answer phone calls, and I had to wait for more than 3 hours on hold. When I complained online about the ongoing session issue, they said it would take 10 working days to get back to me. This response felt like a silly joke.

You need to download an app and spend ages giving them your personal details just so that you can pay for parking. Took me fifteen minutes to figure it all out, and I had to explain the process to tourists and an elderly couple who would have had no chance without. They were there for much longer than I was. When I left and crossed the street, I looked back to see another group struggling with the app. What a joke.

I used the autopay feature on this car park and have since been charged three times due to a 'glitch in their system'. After waiting on the phone for 40 mins it turns out they can't simply refund me, even though they know the multiple payments are made. I have to produce bank statements, copies of their receipts etc etc. Absolutely ludicrous and I would strongly avoid using this car park or any other NCP which only uses autopay.

There is not one pricelist anywhere in this entire carpark so I was unaware it was ยฃ4+ per hour. Won't be using it again. ยฃ24 for a 5 hour stay. Absolutely appalling.

Be careful this is a criminals playground, CVC TV doesn't work. Next time would rather park on the street and get a ticket. Just avoid at all cost.

Shame I couldnโ€™t give 0 stars. The number plate recognition system is awful, however, not as awful as the customer services helpline who argued with me that there wasnโ€™t a barrier whilst I was sat right in front of it. Turns out I should have referred to it as a roller gate. Simply shocking.

AVOID!!! Parked overnight (18th feb) and came back to the back window had been put through - only took the baby bag, and just emptied the contents in stair well!! Someone helped us clear up and said it had happened to him the week before, and someone else the night before

You park and then get bankrupt... Extremely expensive, good only for a short stay of 1 hour.

Hated the whole experience. Itโ€™s a car park that has pretensions of being an Amazon supermarket. Problem is it has none of the technology and investment to make it a pleasant customer experience. Just ends up being a confusing and slightly Orwellian experience of downloading apps and thinking something is going to happen automatically and then it doesnโ€™t. I was charged twice at the machine and on their โ€˜autopayโ€™ system and Iโ€™m still waiting for a refund.

A 7 hour and 4 minute stay cost me ยฃ29.95. The price list next to the payment machine clearly stated the price would be ยฃ20. Absolutely disgusting. I will never ever use NCP again.

Had trouble with the malfunctioning of the number plate recognition. It didnโ€™t work and there are no visible phone numbers for help. It is expensive especially for a Sunday

The car park is ok in itself, but beware the 24hr to pay. You need to put your reg into their website. If not, you get fined. If its after the 24hr you have to wait for the fine to come in the post, if you don't pay the fine quickly it escalates. We would not use it again. Since I found a preferable one, which is cleaner, well lit, and easier to get out of Manchester from, to go home.

Use this for work. it's convenient. Just one problem . The lifts don't both work all the time, and there were some thieves in the parking looting cars. Smash, trash, and go. Don't be tempted to park in the blue badge zones. Even if they are full, you will get fined.

The website states this car park requires drivers to use the NCP app. That is not true, you can simply drive up and park. It has automated barrier and pedestrian access systems to secure the car park, but signs still say not to leave valuables in your car. Reasonable prices. City centre is an easy walk.

Fantastic modern car parking hasssle free, just drive in no barriers, park up and go, to access the car park you need to enter your car reg. At the pay machine you insert your reg number and it shows you your car parked up before you pay, great car park and feel safe, as your car has to drive up to a shutter before opening.

It's a car park. It's quite cramped with small routes. The lift is often broken. It's a car park, what do you want from me?

  • 1/5 John C. 2 years ago on Google
Very expensive although handy for the Palace. Make sure you avoid going down Oxford Road which is buses and taxis only. There is a weekend matinee special price for the theatre - its just a pity that the matinee didn't finish until after the cut off time to exit the car park, hence it reverts to standard tariff. ยฃ27 for just over 6hours !

Have to drive right upto the barrier for it to open. Once inside, easy to navigate. Shame the stairways smell like wee and are filthy with left over food and waste.

Apart from the screen used to get back in, the car park was clean and really central to where I needed to go

Very small entrance , very small spaces and they had the cheek to put the prices up after a lick of paint!

Easy to get to, great location, super safe and not exorbitantly priced although my employers pay for my parking. The parking spaces can be a little cramped but I've had no issues with mid sized Vans and 7 seater Citroen's
