I've literally jus ordered a large portion ov chips bin charged well over the odds for literally enough chips for a chip muffin I will 235 for literally 25 chips pal it's potatoes stop being selfish the world's hard enough place as it is a large portion should ov bin able to feed me an the missis there wasn't even enough for me

The staff were very lovely and had a nice little chat with me whilst waiting for the food to cook fresh. Unfortunately, despite being cooked fresh, the fish was rather bland and a little mushy around the batter. However, the chips and quantity of salt and vinegar on the food was absolutely perfect! I will definitely come here again :)

Well not been in here for time but boy what a shock....got 3 chip barms..the price was mad 8.10 pence for 3 chip barm wow how the price of things have gone 😳 🥺🥺

Excellent customer service, clean and tidy take premises. Reasonably priced. Free parking immediately outside the take away, on a prominent and busy main road location. I tried the cod and chips with a coke, which came to £6.25. The food was served fresh and tasty. Unfortunately they don’t sell haddock or other fish, but overall ‘Thompsons’, is a decent chippie, that I am happy to recommend.

I did not like my super expensive fish and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas. Curry was bland, fish soggy and all batter came off (this may be the weather as it's really warm today). Best part of mediocre meal - slightly undercooked chips. It was my cheat meal for this week so I'm really disappointed. Sorry but not to my liking and would not recommend.

Got fish and chips last night the 4th August, the fish was lovely the chips was horrible white and soggy, we all left them, they must of changed there potatoes, there usually crispy.

Yesterday was the second time I have used this chippy at lunchtime, and on returning home the chips went in the bin. Re fried chips like concrete,please get your act together this is a swindle. Wont beback again

Poor quality chips does matter how much they try and hide that fact with adding more gravy it’s still poor

The Chinese curry is rubbish. Had it over my meal .Had to throw it away. I went with a friend she bought chips and curry. Chips and gravy and 3 lots of chips we got 3 lots chips chips and curry and a tube of curry and a tube gravy She didn't ask for a tube curry and a tube gravy whereas my bloody chips gravy I didn't want to give one star.

Very friendly staff but they only take cash so I had to go back to the car and borrow the money ,bought my granddaughter a child's meal it was burger and chips ,I expected a burger on a bun but I was just a burger that tasted like it had been deep fried ,the chips were not the best and the drink was a cheap tip top carton drink , it was 4.40 and to be honest McDonald's would of been a cheaper and better option.sorry won't be going there again .

ordered pie chips peas gravy got home eat half the pie which was dry and horrible now i cant stop being sick because of food poisioning.
