We went on a weekday in April and it was very quiet. Cesar and his family are the caretakers of Old Spanish Bridge and the surrounding area as it is adjacent to their property and they keep the water clean and beautiful. The water is mountain fed and quite cool initially. They also run a rope swing off the bridge and have a guide there to help people swing safely. Tips are appreciated for the swing guide. There is a snack and drink stand next to the swimming hole, and there are a few life jackets for rental ($5 USD). I believe there may be tubes for rent as well, not certain on that. Tipping is expected for the caretakers as well. We had as much fun (if not more) fun here as compared to any of the paid excursions we've been on, so we kept that in mind when tipping the care takers and the swing guide. The road to the bridge is quite rough, and one lane at times. Locals will say it takes 20 minutes from Ocho Rios, but it took us much longer considering our small rental car and the large pot holes.

Very good place but you have to be extremely careful in the water if you can't swim.. There are sink holes in it.. no changing room are bathroom on location. So get dress from home..

Very beautiful place to chill and I will relax and be with nature. The locals in the area are friendly and won't mind keeping you entertained. You can go swinging into the 17ft deep river, go river tubing, or just sit back and relax and drink a nice cold beer. Be prepared to for breathe taking experience.

A picturesque spot with lovely old bridge and clear water to swim. There is a rope swing from the bridge so people can swing off bridge and drop into the water. There is also BBQ food and drink available to purchase - not sure it's always there as we went at the weekend. The downside is that the roads are appalling and no signs to the actual bridge. When we stopped and asked we were told to follow the signs for 'Chukka' ..why they can't put a sign up for 'Soanish Bridge', idk!

Clean, clear, blue and beautiful water ! Very relaxing environment and mood. Breathtaking backdrop of mountains and of hills covered with towering bamboo groves. Friendly hosts, parking and the options of diving, tubing or swimming. Refreshments nearby. It's a total package 😁 Highly recommend πŸ‘πŸ½ !!

Great host! Very remote location, you definitely get the Jamaican experience, there are many other spots in your way, visiting them all, but don't miss out this one.

Great for the family, different depths for everyone to be comfortable. Wide open space that was able fit numerous families. I strongly suggest rock shoes. Bring your food and drinks and enjoy a great space.

Really beautiful and mystic place, there's a rope you can use to swing and jump in the river from the bridge or from the river sides....amazing water is transparent so clean you can see through it ....just be sure you don't go there after a rainy day or you're gonna find brown water like in the picture

The Old Spanish Bridge is in a very nice picturesque location. The road to get to it is not good, a combination of being narrow and a very badly potholed surface, so keep this in mind as you may encounter tour buses enroute carrying tourists to this beautiful spot. The water is shallow enough for safe swimming.

Great experience! I personally didn't jump but my fiance did... He loved it! There are life jackets if you need it for a fee. And even if you don't jump you can still enjoy the water on the shallow side... Right under the bridge is 15-20 feet!

Great place to go if you have your own car. Mostly for pictures. You cannot use the swing rope because this is a private property. This is not very where is the private vs public property.

What a fun time. Wish I had more time to swing. It's a free attraction I did tip the lifeguards who were there. Very cool guys did a few tricks for us. I went early to avoid any crowd's as I was on a time crunch. I look forward to visiting again. Nice vibes I can imagine how fun it would be with more people present.

First time visiting and it was amazing! The water is absolutely beautiful. This is a hidden gem everyone in Jamaica should visit. It’s not too far from Ocho Rios.

Clean and clear water. Shallow and deep sections for swimmers and non swimmers. Rope for swinging and diving off. Just a great experience.

Secret gem. Or more like a blue sapphire!! But one of the most treacherous drives to get here! Would not recommend unless you have big SUV clearance.

The history is fascinating and it's beautiful! That fact that it's still used after 300 yrs is amazing. It was raining so we didn't stop and swim or watch the locals do their rope tricks. It is something you should definitely see if your in Jamaica!!

A beautiful 300 year old stone bridge amidst a serene lagoon of crystal clear water. You can swing into the water or dive. An excellent place for picnics. Look forward to coming back. Approximately a 45 minute drive from Ocho Rios. Suggest a high clearance but small SUV or 4WD as the roads are in poor condition, and a lot of narrow roads. To get there you have to drive beyond the white water rafting place which is full of tourists especially when cruise ships hit Ochi. The drive itself is beautiful in the rainforest, and when you arrive there are a few locals enjoying the place. Didn't see another foreigner which was a highlight in itself.

This place is the best πŸ‘Œ and the rope is just awesome. There's a part of the water that is very deep so swim carefully but apart from that it's all good.

Only thing I dislike was the lack of bathroom, but otherwise the vibes was awesome, water was as expected cool and refreshing on the skin.

The road up is rough and WORTH it. We were flagged down by operators going to Blue Hole who told us that Spanish Bridge is closed (it's not) so ignore them. Just keep driving and experience this absolute treasure!

Amazing beautiful place. Road is a bit narrow to drive up to it. A wonderful place to spend the day swimming and relaxing. A small bar to buy drinks. Lots of parking.
