Clean, spacious and comfortable environment to shop for groceries and produce. This is important given the current health climate. Good customer service as well. The cashiers greet you when you go to cash out. Compared to other supermarkets in May Pen prices are a little higher. Worth it if you want to avoid the crowds. Update: The environment is basically the same. The cash-out lines were very short (on a Saturday evening), this equals quick service. This is the supermarket you want to go if you do not want to spend hours waiting in line.

Okay place seems clean . The prices can vary depending on what one is looking for. My only issue is the staff especially the so called "helpers " at the cashier and the cashiers themselves. They seem to lack professionalism skills and seem childlike . Smirking ,whispering and talking and making fun of anybody who may appear different from them despite being the same color just being a foreigner. This is always my experience coming here no matter how humble. The funny thing is that they ASSUME that people or myself at least are UNaware but they are wrong. I think the next incident I will report to the management These are public servants they need to represent the business better and stop mocking and making fun of customers because they themselves aren't much better especially if they are in that position Had I been a pale white or Chinese they would have been bowing down and kissing my feet. Jamaicans have too much color prejudice and it needs to stop.

It's a big convenience supermarket. It's what you expect, higher prices but more variety.

Good variety and clean but waaaay too expensive. I'm talking $40 difference in price as compared to its closest competitor. They need to do better. I go there when I have absolutely no alternative.

Valuemart is conveniently located inside Bargain Village, but it's not the best supermarket offering value for money. Infact the prices can be misleading as they have final prizes on products, but when cashing out you realize the prices does not add up. That's because what is seen on the shelves are not always reflective of the price after taxes, so be careful when shopping here.
