There is a monument here which marks the geographical centre of the island. It is about 3km off the main road and would require a vehicle that can handle rugged terrain. The area is a forest reserve with lots of tall pine trees but the area where the monument is located is open and grassy. There are a few benches there. I was told the area is usually well-maintained and used for events at times.

This was a great find.Ascending the blue peaks of Jamaica's wild interior, the Bull Head Mountains contain hidden waterfalls, winding trails, and panoramic views of one of the island's most untamed landscapes. This towering natural wonderland beckons the adventurous spirit. The 10 KM road to the monument is narrow with winding corners, only allowing one vehicle at a time. Rugged terrain requires a capable vehicle. Bring bug spray for the top, where this remote monument awaits after an adventurous drive.
