it was actually a detour, i don't have any plans on going there whatsoever, but since i had the opportunity, why not drop by the place and buy some authentic shawarma, right? i saw a video about it on facebook and they said that the shawarma there's really nice and since i love shawarma, it is a must-go! lol i was excited until i went to the place, no it's not bad, it's just that i didn't expect it to be a whole a$$ restaurant and i thought it's just an order to-go place lol i got nervous then, but the staffs are so nice and accommodating, even telling me that there's more seat upstairs. i went upstairs and it's just more awkward than when i was downstairs, so i went back and asked if i can be seated outside since im only ordering just one shawarma and be done with it. the kind gentleman told me that it's better inside and actually offered the seat in the corner, perfect for my awkward introverted as$ lol (please don't judge me i went there alone ahaha) i ordered their shawarma meal that consists of the shawarma itself and some fries with a coke drink. if you want water, it's a different purchase. the shawarma itself is really waaaay different from what we've used to eat at turk's. although it's not as salty(it's kinda bland for my tongue) but it's not bad either. it has its own distinct taste. the sauces are unlimited as well so you can put as much of it as you want! i loved it! (white sauce and chili sauce) i just don't know what's the red spice in the onions but i think that's what gave it a unique taste compared to the usual shawarma out there. it's not spicy so it's definitely not just chili powder, i like it tho~ they actually got my order wrong (gave me chicken instead of beef) but they hurriedly replaced it with the one i actually want! even though i've already bitten on it. kudos 👌🏻👍 will i come back? absolutely! and with friends as well 💕 i will definitely come back because i think i didnt enjoy my stay there to the fullest.

They serve good shawarma along with other dishes, like hummas kabab tandoori and deserts also. Sweets I like to recommend is Mouhabieh and Kunafa. They also serve chicken beef lamb and fish dishes.

The beef shawarma rice is delicious and has generous serving. I was disappointed with their mix kebab, it was so very generic and average in taste and too small serving for its price. Also i cant taste or smell any garlic in their GARLIC sauce. The place itself is clean and comfy for dining. Their staff like to gossip about foreign customers and i can hear clearly what they are talking about.

First went here in 2004, since we felt “homesick” (we lived in the Middle East for over a decade). Went here a few days ago and while it’s not the best Middle Eastern restaurant and there seems to be a slight decline in quality (esp. with the shawarma), it’s definitely legitimate and will always come back to it.

This has always been my favorite shawarma place when in Manila. Tried it again as we were in the area and it did not disappoint. Tried their lemonade from Jordan and it's so good. A pitcher is not enough.

This place serves authentic middle eastern cuisine. We ordered the kabsa rice, and the half-kilo for the meats. We didn't regret it all. The service personnel were surprised at our huge orders, but we pulled it off!! The price is right, too. 5 stars!!

I've been eating here since 2008; left the Philippines on 2016 and ate here again this year (2022). The food is still as delicious as ever! And the price didn't change much. I'm very happy. I always order the chicken tikka and the beef kebab. The garlic sauce is outrageously tasty and enhances the meat. Also tried their flan this time around. Also delicious. Don't forget to order a lassi with your drink! The shisha was also nice. They have two places there back then; not sure if it's still the same. One is more high-end, and the other more casual. First time eating at the main one.

The best ever Mediterranean food you'll find in manila at shawarma snack center. My favourite dish there is falafel sandwich and the biryani. The sauces served with the falafel were excellent. Juicy and tender kebab tastes as good as it looks. Must visit this restaurant if you're Mediterranean food lover.

Great place that serves authentic Arab food, though I must say the staff do not know the difference between the different cuisines (Lebanese, Pakistani, etc.) 😂 The serving time takes a while, but the business still does really well amidst the pandemic because of how delicious and authentic their meals are. I recommend trying their chicken tikka and chicken biryani, those were delicious! The shawarmas are about a 7/10, but then again I have yet to find a place that serves authentic shawarma as good as theirs, so I think that’s a fair rating. Overall, I love the place and would love to go back!

Never had an authentic shawarma but I could definitely say that their shawarma doesn't taste anything similar to the ones that we commonly tried. I ordered their 9" special shawarma meal which is served with fries and soda. They also give you their hot sauce ang garlic sauce. Then I got curious about the kunafa dessert and yoghurt shake. I never thought that it will taste so goood. I really like the yoghurt shake. And I will definitely go back here to try their biryani and other meals

By far, the best kabsah I've tried here in the Philippines. I loved their kebab too. Also, their shawarma (not in the picture) is as good as the ones in Saudi. Would recommend this place for people who grew up or worked in the Middle East. 😋👍

We ordered hummus, falafel, kebab, shawarma rice(biryani) and shawarma pita. We ate hummus, falafel and kebab in the resto. It was all good but I had tried better elsewhere(personal opinion). In comparison, the price is reasonable considering the quantity and quality. The serving size is adequate. It is sufficient for big appetites. The place is bright and clean.

the food was fine. used to eat here before, the quality and taste did deteriorate a bit. the service was a little slow. not the fault of staff as they were understaffed i think just 2 waiters and one cashier were serving a fully packed restaurant.

First time we tried the food here! We have Muslims with us so we really went and searched for halal restaurant and good thing we found this place! Food: we only ordered Biryani 😆 Chicken, lamb and beef Biryani. It comes with place of refreshing vegetables to clean the palate and a sauce for biryani. It tasted authentic! The meats (all of them) we're so soft and juicy! Especially the lamb it really melts in your mouth. We did try the seafood platter but it was nothing special 😅 Staff: very accommodating! They immediately seat us (there were 15 people more or less) gave us the vegetables, drinks and utensils right after! Then within minutes the 4 big platters of biryani was served. It was so fast I totally didn't feel like we waited at all. Athmosphere: there's many foreign people, probably Muslims, since this was a highly rated by Muslim friends of ours and I totally get why. Overall this was the best place I've had Biryani and would come back for that!

Been here twice and I enjoyed it, food were great and many options for combination, very authentic halal foods, even though I haven't been on arab country this place makes me feel it even my friend that grew up in dubai said so, so give it a try 👌👌👌

The food is very good and tastes authentic. I visited this place twice always with a friend who stayed in middle east for years and they said the food is really close to what they usually eat back then. The chicken shawarma is the main pick for me. You'd think the serving is small at first bite but half way through the shawarma is really filled with meat, fries and pickles. The best part - condiments available at the tables that they'll always refill. They have a wide range of choices from shawarma, biryani, classic hummus, and desserts. The ambiance of the place is average. They accept Gcash and card payments. You'll go back to this place solely for the food I would say. A must try!

It's my second visit since 2019, and now the food and the service became disaster. 1. Too Long cooking time 2. Most of the meat is not fully cooked & marinated properly. 3. Shawarma is not juicy ,its is just Hard and dry. 4 . After waiting for more than one hour we were informed that the ordored food is out of stock ( Charcoal chicken ) and we were served with chicken tikka which was Not cooked and marinated properly . 5. Service is very slow 7. We ordered for group 13 members and each food is served one by one after each 30 minutes, so be patient to sit and wait for the food to be served. 8. Hummus, and rice was good 👌

The shop has the middle eastern vibes to it, really appreciate that they made it that way. Ratings: Shawarma special 9 (Beef) 3.5/5 We got the beef shawarma and the veggies but it was a bit dry, no ketchup or tahina 🤔 anyhow they give you the garlic sauce and hot sauce. Garlic sauce 4/5 It is tasty and not that strong. Hot sauce 3/5 Homemade? I somehow felt a strong chili powder? Tea with Milk Big Pot 4/5 It is good for 4 people and it is nice to drink with a group. All the best!

Best biryani that we tasted here in Manila! The portion is for a heavy eater considering the price is ₱395. Their shawarma is good too, needs improvement in their sauce though. You may preorder to avoid waiting especially during lunch.

The hummus quality was correctly match with the version in middle-east. But the kebab was dry and black tea is just supermarket-tea served in a pot looked like Arabic. The thing made me disappointed was the waiter did introduce or consult for guest, I thought none of these food come with bread so I called a bag of bread to eat with, at the end so many breads over-order

I'm not much into this type of cuisine, but from what I hear about this establishment, and considering how other family members want to come back every so often for the food, it does invite adventure. With a lot of Arab/Persian-looking customers, it must be legit. The chicken tikka is not bad. Planning to try the moussaka when we return.

The go-to shawarma place not only in Ermita but in the entire Metro Manila. It may be nostalgia memory but I can confirm that the taste hasn’t changed since last eating here in 2011. The shawarma is still the best and still one of the cheapest! And they offer al fresco dining too for people worried about safety protocols.

I just read about this restaurant from an article on Google. My partner and I tried it since we love Persian food. Oh boy, I'm glad we did. The food is sooooo good. We ordered shawarma rice, beef kebab, falafel with hummus sandwich, and korma in our first visit. Everything we ordered was a party in our mouths. The serving? So generous. The travel from QC to Manila is super sulit. We kept coming back to this restaurant to try more dishes. It's a must-try when you're around Malate. 👌🏼

Been here many times before pandemic and was always a favorite and best dining experience due to its authenticity and taste. Today, it really2 disappointed me since they reduced all the flavor and spices. I think they try to maintain the price by reducing the quality. Just lots of bland rice and hard meat. The chili and garlic sauce are so tasteless also now. The kunafa is just sweet, no other flavor profiles. An aunthentic middle eastern food lover should think twice or you'll regret. Im so sad now. Bye2 SSC

The food is very affordable, prices range from P100 to P250. The taste and quality is sooo far from common shawarma wraps. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating to us. They even catered to our request to put the strawberry yogurt in two separate cups. The place is open as early as 10 am and closes at 2am. They also have a restroom.

I used to come here between 2007-2009. I remember it to be delicious. Surrounded by some natives and pinoys puffing some shisha. And so it was nice to be back mid month of January 2023. We ordered Shawarma, Beef Shawarma Biryani, Yogurt and Hummus. Ambiance: They remodel the place. It looks clean & a touch of authenticity of Mediterranean touch esp from the outside of the restk. You'll see some Indians, Arabs & other middle eastern eating in the place. Take out counter is outside but they have to queue to pay inside. Quite impractical. Service: I won't say it's bad but I won't say it's excellent. Since we arrive at a time wherein a lot of customers are inside & outside the resto. Waiters deliver & take orders only. You won't feel any warmth. Just plain job. I am not sure if they don't have enough manpower during that time or they were trained to not care much. Some of them at least those whom I had encounter with aren't familiar with the menu & the displayed items. Food: Hummus: Highly recommended! Super delicious. I love it! Affordable too as the hummus comes with two pita breads. You can request for olive oil which was pretty dope. I like their pita bread. Beef Shawarma: Beef was tasty. Fresh ingredients. Garlic sauce wasn't garlicky. I missed the oil Garlic sauce they used to have. Beef Shawarma Biryani Rice: Love the biryani rice. You'll taste the herbs. The spicy sauce & the garlic sauce were lacking of taste. Really. Quite disappointing. They are supposed to up the taste of the food. But no. Not at all. It turns out the old taste are too old to stay. 😣 I tried the ones in BF Homes, oh my terrible taste. And that's what's prompted me to actually go to the main branch to compare the quality. Apparently, their system failed. The beef there tasted that it was just reheated it didnt taste anything like the main branch. Yogurt: Highly commendable. Soooo love it! Price point: Affordable. Can't complain about that aspect.

Everything on the menu was, of course, has shawarna. But ordered something else because there was a sign on the wall claiming that they had them as one of the best in the menu. I was apprehensive but curious to try something new. When it was served everything looked bland and dry but they taste so great.

Great food! I really liked the flavors of the food i ordered. Not so affordable but the portion of each serving generous and the taste is great. It was my first time here and i wish they’d have a location in Davao soon. Highly recommending this place.

If u r familiar with Arabic cuisine. Then u will know how crooks they're. In the name of the shawarma plate, they're giving sizzling meat. And as per the price, the meal is not even worth half the amount. Added 60% vegetables to save meat... 😂 Juices were half watery (so called fresh).

  • 5/5 Gina 7 months ago on Google
It's the place where you can find an authentic taste of shawarma, biryani, kebab, etc. Arabic food. I've tasted other store, serving shawarma, but they altered the taste. The Shawarma Snack Center was the best tasting Arab food so far that I have tasted here in Philippines and It's also affordable. The service crew were friendly and helpful, they even give us a take away garlic sauce and spice sauce, which I loved most. I was so excited to eat the shawarma that I even forgot to take a picture before consuming it.

Discovered this gem through 'What's your ulam, pare?' and the food did not disappoint. Legit SSC supremacy! 🌟🍲 they do need to improve on keeping the tables clean after customers eat.

  • 3/5 Mohammad S. 4 months ago on Google
Food: Shwarma is close to taste but not fully. They have authentic rice meals with middle eastern menu. The shawarma is ok and the meals are authentic. Service: Lots of pinoy staff, accommodating and service is pretty normal. They also serve you equally whether you order a single item or family. Providing you sauces and tissues on hand. ATMOSPHER: The room is well air conditioned, lots of room for customers, there are also seats outside. The presentation looks good, very middle eastern, even with Arabian channels playing on the TV.

This is one of the original restaurants in Manila that served Middle Eastern Cuisine. They have been around since the 80's to and even used to serve Shawarma from a food stall in Harrison plaza. Their food is good and priced well and they have expanded through the years to have several branches around the city. The owner is very hands-on and is particular about the quality of the food they serve. You can also rent a shisha here if you want to smoke aromatic tobacco while having some Arabic tea or coffee.
