Tremendous improvement!!!! Clean and safe place nowadays but still don't let your guard down. Forget walking and rent a carriage to experience the true vibe of Manila.

Otherwise known as the Manila Cathedral, Pope John Paul II issued a Papal Bull in 1981 designating this cathedral the honour of becoming a minor basilica. Established in 1571, the Manila Cathedral still hosts daily mass, occasional weddings and important occasions such as papal and foreign dignitary visits. There seemed to be a baccalaureate mass during our visit and even though we tried, we could not get in – it was packed. We hope you have better luck as this was extraordinarily disappointing. Anyway, after exploring the Cathedral, turn around and face the Plaza de Roma. Considered the center of the city, this garden used to be an open plaza used for bullfights and other public events. A statue of King Charles IV centres the park in honour of having sent the first ever batch of smallpox vaccines to the Philippines.

Plaza Rajah Sulayman, also known as Rajah Sulayman Park, is a public square in Malate, Manila. It is bounded by Roxas Boulevard to the west, San Andres Street to the south, and Remedios Street to the north. The plaza is considered the center of Malate as it fronts the Malate Church, the main church of the district. The square is named after Rajah Sulayman, the late 16th-century sovereign of the Kingdom of Manila, who died in the Battle of Bangkusay Channel while resisting invading Spanish troops led by Miguel Lopez de Legaspi. The Square is also a place where you can see and buy paintings from new painters. You can also buy street foods ranging from pinoy style pancakes, potato twister chips, fishballs and the palamig with sago.

The Philippines is predominantly a Catholic country and thus, the Manila Cathedral (Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception) can be considered as the central religious landmark in the country. The old church exudes both grandness and reverence. A massive pipe organ sits at the loft above the main entrance. There are several chapels that are located on both sides of the cathedral and are very conducive to prayer and reflection. If you are touring Manila, a visit to the Manila Cathedral should be part of your itinerary.

A relaxing place. Where you can sit, chill and relax. During my time here, I saw different kinds of painting displayed beside this Park. And I Love it. I was amazed with different artworks, it has different styles, colors, canvas and more. But I forgot to ask about the price. I really enjoyed watching their displayed paintings. Thank you for the experience. I Love it.

Not so many people out there. We enjoy the colorful lights of fountain and music. There are still some street vendor selling foods. The parking was so nice. They charge 50 pesos.

One of the historical church in the Philippines built 500 years ago. The Cathedral is really massive and has splendid architecture which has a spanish era feel to it, even though it has been renovated so many times. There are many statues and many ornate decorations. The windows on the top have glass paintings which are really attractive. Cathedral keeps the memories of Pope Fracis's visit years back, which is carved on to the main door. The church is more refined and stylish now. Parking space is at the back of the Cathedral at Anda street. ♿✔️Accessible entrance is at the right side of main entrance. Face shield and mask is a must to enter. There's temperature check at the main entrance. All other entrances are closed for now. As of now there's only one holy mass at 5pm everyday for limited crowd.

Very picturesque place to go with a loved one. Pretty water fountain with nice colours and many great restaurants all around to choose from. They were playing fun music when I was there in the night so if you like to dance in public like nobody's watching, this is the place to be! But just a kind heads up, people will be looking: Be prepared to meet people asking for alms. Lots of kids in need there, also selling things. We tried to buy as many flowers as we could. Also, I was told to watch my wallet and valuables for pick-pocketers just in case. 💐💐💐

The Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral is a Neo-Romanesque Revival Architecture building. Its building roots travelling back from c.1571 as a Parish under the Archdiocese of Mexico. It was rebuilt and resdesigned eigth times until its final structure on c.1958. A church dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of Mary; thus, its principal patron, together with Saint Rose of Lima and Saint Potenciana as secondary patron saints. It is also the episcopal seat of the archbishop of Manila.

Majestic and historical place in Manila. The Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the Manila Cathedral, is the cathedral of Manila and basilica located in Intramuros, the historic walled city within today's modern city of Manila, Philippines. Manila Cathedral started to open their doors again to the public last September 16, 2020 to maximimum of 80 people with strict compliance of safety protocol.

The Church is well maintained. Structurally sound. Some historical details might be modified due to multiple renovations but still, the whole structure is breathtaking. There are also church's personnel that offers tour services around the cathedral if you want a deeper understanding about the history of the said place. There are souvenirs for sale inside the place. Best place to take photos as well. And, for those who are planning to set this place as a wedding venue, highly recommended. But I do recommend to avoid littering. Please observe cleanliness and order. Also, avoid making loud sounds / noise inside the cathedral. It is a place for worship. Please also respect other religion's practices and presence. Please don't vandalize. In general, very awesome place. Highly recommended to all tourist. Especially to those who want to see in person the one of the historical sites in the Philippines 🇵🇭
