Nice coffee shop on a quiet neighbourhood street. They offer hot and iced coffees, food and a good variety of locally roasted coffee beans. If you buy a bag of coffee beans, you also get a free coffee (which we weren't told about until after we had ordered coffee, so beware!). Nice outdoor seating as well (nothing indoor, maybe pandemic related); but only a few tables so be prepared to wait as it's a popular spot.

Sharing some shots of the renovations made to the space. Definitely prettier and more seats available for everyone. Liking the vibe ofc. **************** Its been more than 5 years since i stepped inside this coffee shop, i vaguely remember the interiors. There were some tables and chairs to have u finish a drink and go. Not best to hang and linger, atleast imo. Anyways, i get our coffee beans from them and usually have it delivered. I had the daily brewed which used their switch beans, which was okay. 👍 They also have location exclusive drinks. Legazpi Village exclusives shared on the photo below.

A modern and modular-style cafe, Yardstick prides itself in their obsession for coffee origins and quality. For the coffee enthusiasts, this is a must place to visit. Its good for regular customers as well who are busy with coffee meetings and client discussions. Keep it up guys!

Neighborhood cafe that serves good coffee. It is situated in Hop Inn Hotel Ermita, a short walk from Manila Bay and Raja Sulayman Plaza. The ambiance gives a laidback feel.

Good coffee and, recently, a bistro style sit out space they share with Your Local. I had an excellent Cortado with oatly milk. My partner loved her sweet Pop Corn Latte! And we had a snack of Mock Mentaiko Fries - fries drizzled with a tasty secret sauce! Yardstick also sells Oatly oatmilk!

An early sunday morning bike ride to Yardstick Coffee might normally look like this. Coffee is superb! Worthy of our 20km bike toil to taste coffee magic, and experience a slow Makati moment.

Coffee is brewed with passion here. Freshly roasted coffee with intense flavor. Laid back shop set up with lots of "coffee things" hanging around the store to be checked out. Recommended spot for coffee enthusiasts.

Really good specialty coffee shop, serving curbside coffee and food. Service is fast and staff are very nice. Al fresco dining is nice and there’s plenty of space especially on the weekends. Location is also very accessible to bikes.

I came here as a coffee place I frequent in Qc gets their beans here. Upscale clientele. Utilitarian furniture. I suggest you get coffee here but hang somewhere else. The clientele borders on the middle and upside. Some people bring their dogs. If your a dog lover you would enjoy seeing the happy dogs.

While price creep is real from pre-renovation, at least the food remains good and the coffee is adventurous. Popular with a certain demographic so, personal taste applies for atmosphere.

Yardstick always has incredible coffee and creative drinks. Their food options are also great - lemon curd waffles are my fave! If you get coffee for home you haveeeeee to try their Golden Ticket blend. Def a hangout spot vs a quiet work spot - the level of foot traffic they get keeps it on the noisier side. Attentive staff and great hospitality.

It’s more spacious than I thought it was! There were also plenty of chair and table setups making it ideal for solos, pairs, or groups. Especially on weekdays, a huge chunk of the patrons are on work mode, bringing their laptop with them. I think it helps that they have loads of sockets. WiFi is not available though. They don’t have a washroom or toilet, so you’d have to go out the door and use the restroom nearby, which is about 40 steps away.

Great space and good staff. No walk in option for a pour over or other manual brewing methods except for espresso or turbo shot. I’d prefer to see some flat burr grinders and more immersion or pour over method options available, but overall very good and definitely better than average. Bean selection is sufficiently discriminating. Turbo shot was done well, which makes me wish I could see how they do with pour over. They also sell espresso machines if you don’t like having too much money in your wallet. ;)

I love that they made this place big as their coffee is really great! I tried the Legazpi coffee exclusives, Coco Loco and Bittersweet Symphony, and these coffee blends are uniquely good! They also serve the orders fast considering the flow of people in the cafe. It's not the hype that made this cafe busy but the flavors are really good! We'll surely keep coming back for more.

Definitely one of the best coffee I have tried in the Metro. I ordered the Iced Feel Good Latte (Legazpi exclusive) and it reminded me of pumpkin spice latte. The coffee used in my drink also has fruity notes which I love. My favorite thing during the visit was the friendliness of the staff, especially to the security guard. It's my first time here so I was kind of intimidated because there were so many people. He assisted me where to order, where's the menu and he even gave me a nice chair because I was uncomfortable sitting in the window seat 😅 Will come back again for sure!

Yardstick is a very comforting place for me. The large and airy interior and the minimalist design makes it a great place to work in. Aside from their delicious baked goods, I’m also a fan of their cold brews to go. They offer different kinds to suit varying tastes. These make for a great pick-me-up during workdays.

It's overrated and over priced. I expected more given the reputation it has but it felt like a failed attempt at minimalism. The food and coffee were alright but not nearly worth the cost. The ambiance was sub-par but the crew were friendly and the service was quick.

Delicious single origin small lot coffee. A friend introduced me to the La Palma which is sweet, almost fruity. The cold brew is velvety smooth and punchy. Popular with freelancers, almost looks like a coworking space. AC and acoustics could be better though.

Was wandering about and at the corner of my eye, I saw this little shop near the Blue Tricycle lane. If you're a shy person like me, you'll be intimidated by the place because of all the laboratory like instrument. I was greeted by what I assume is the owner and she explained to me the various information regarding the coffee beans. I myself is not a coffee expert, and she is really enthusiastic about what she's doing and that enthusiasm rubbed off on me. She's cool. I had the Robusta Sultan Kudarat beans, with the siphon method. That was my first time having a siphoned coffee, the experience, truly is aesthetically pleasing. The coffee maestro, definitely is passionate about the coffee. You could observe it while he's brewing. They also have this upper floor space, and it's super cozy. I may have found my new 'tambayan'.

One of the coffee place that I’ve been seeing in Instagram that really caught my attention is Blocleaf. Located in Malate Manila so I really have to find a schedule just to find this place. So in one of those weekends me and my coffee/food buddy decided to go on a simple manila crawl. We started of with Blocleaf since according to google maps its just walk from Diamond Hotel. Blocleaf is bright spot in the street of MH Del Pilar. Just below Hop Inn hotel ermita. The place is really neat clean eye ctaching since the area of MH Del Pilar got the old dirty looking Manila vibe. I love how minimalist Blocleaf is with the accent of wood and plants. This is the perfect place that you want to spend your weekend morning waking up. Relax, light and chill. For my coffee/drinks I got their iced matcha latte since it was a beauty in the picture haha. Tastewise I was a bit disappointed due to the lack of Matcha flavor. I think it was a bit diluted by the ice. Maybe next time I’ll try it hot. I also got to taste what my buddies ordered. The hot thai milk tea was so good. I love this better. I really should had my matcha latte hot. We also tried the Ube cheesecake. Also enjoyed this cake. Not too sweet but the ube flavor was also very light. Not bad. Overall love this place feel but for the food/drinks I think they still can improve on it. But when in Malate looking for a grerat coffee spot this is really a great option. Suggest go for the hot thai tea latte that’s a sure winner.

Spectacular coffee and menu dishes. For first timers, try their oatmeal coffee. No regular dine-in now (July 2021) but al fresco dining is available on Fri, Sat, Sun. A little on the expensive side.

I would give a 6/5, I love their Yardshake and now they offer a bigger size for P20 difference (12oz P200; 16oz P220). The food is alright but the yardshake is worth getting every time I go to Makati :) Seating was very full when we went so take out is usually the way to go for this!

I just want to give recognition to songs they play in this coffeeshop. It adds so much to the atmosphere, cozy and warm. The price is not too budget friendly (Food-wise) but they're coffee's pretty affordable. This place is pretty good for when you want to catch up with your friend over coffee. The staffs were very nice and the doorman was friendly.

Good Coffee is a given for yardstick. They have a wide selection of beans for latte and black options. I usually check out their cold brews because they sometimes feature some of their special/limited beans at a very good price. This time I ordered their grilled cheese, which I rate as 4stars only because although it hits that greasy spot, it feel a bit short in terms of tastiness and the tomato sauce was a bit runny. It's a good place to do some work, with an abundance of work-friendly seating for solo work and even more collaborative meetings. I chose a more pocket seat away from the noise to have more concentration. They have power outlets too in some of the seating areas, just check with the staff. Definitely coming back to to try the other new food options which I haven't tried, and of course, their coffee!

Yardstick Coffee is famous for its coffee, and I’ve been eager to try it out. My expectations were high, but so far, it hasn’t let me down. Here’s what I ordered: Bittersweet Symphony ₱200 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 True to its name, it’s a mix of coffee’s bitterness and a hint of sweetness from the corn slushie. It’s an interesting combo and tasted nice! (although i found the corn slushie a tad too sweet for my liking) Sea Salt Latte ₱210 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I’m no coffee expert, and while this drink was pleasant, it didn’t stand out to me. However, this drink seems to be a crowd’s favorite, so I guess taste preferences vary, and you might want to give it a try yourself. KFC Bagel ₱450 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 It was alright, nothing remarkable about the taste and it’s quite filling.

It’s the way Coffee should be. I got the “worlds most sought after coffee” Geisha from Panama and it blows my mind. Made me dig into my pocket for it but it’s worth it. Really! I love the way the store is arranged where one can interact or perhaps be with the barista for the brewing experience. And the crew are just as nice as the beverage served. Try asking them about the story of your coffee to appreciate your drink. Hats off to this cafe. Despite the location and from where I’m coming from I will surely be back.

I would recommend getting an espresso-based drink instead of a pour over. I think you get more value out of your money that way. The hand brewed items on the menu are a bit pricey, but I guess it's worth it to some consumers. If you want a good pour over coffee at a better price, head over to Curator, just a few blocks away.

Delicious pour over coffee from various foreign single origins. Nicely served in a beaker, wooden tray, and with a small card describing the coffee bean variant you ordered. The barista politely and gladly answered my query on his water to beans ratio. They're a bit pricey though per cup compared to other equally delicious specialty coffee shops. And sadly, they don't champion our local coffee beans. The wooden tables are adequate and have a nice height for leisure or work. The stools though are not comfortable. A little foam upholstery would've been nice. Overall, good place to visit.

The stuff cared only familiar customers who come to the cafe often . She was talking with the customer loudly . But she wasn’t kind to us . Drink is good . Meal is nothing special.

A small intimate cafe serving coffee, pastries and sandwiches. I've only tried the cold Americano and a cookie so far and I am more than satisfied. The coffee had kick and was hardly bitter. The location is a little bit out of the way from the usual crowd but it is worth a visit. I would suggest that the management invest on sturdier furniture pieces. The ones right now, although very modern in aesthetic, are not constructed very well and really heavy, especially the stools. Despite the heft, I was not able to put my entire weight on the tables for fear that I might break them.

Such an interesting find along M.H. del Pilar Street. Don't be fooled by the super small space: this cafe packs a whallop in terms of aesthetics. Didn't try their coffee (they use Philippine beans), but I enjoyed the Chai Tea Latte (could have been a bit hotter). Definitely a must visit every time you are in Malate. I haven't tried their food yet, but will definitely do next time.

I cannot understand good reviews here.. It is why I come for breakfast but was very disappointed. The coffee is just undrinkable due to sour milk, it is better next to at 7-eleven. The sandwiches are frozen. Tea not tasty. Unfriendly seller. Too expensive for that poor quality. I don't recommand it at all.

  • 4/5 Levin P. 5 years ago on Google
Small but cozy place. Interior design is relaxing, but not dim due to large windows. This maybe helpful if you want to do some work since the brightness can help keep the sleepiness at bay. The cafe is hidden away from the heavy foot traffic of Malate, Manila area. I spent about 4 hours there with no other customers in the shop. They have good, strong coffee with the right amount of "creaminess". They also have a good selection of teas. They use loose-leaf teas that are very aromatic and relaxing. Also, their avocado cheesecake is superb- definitely a must try! They also serve some sandwiches and pastas. I tried the longganisa pasta. But I feel that it was not worth it. It tasted OK but I expected more from its price. Most of the other food items are as pricey as the pasta I tried, but I haven't tasted them yet to make a verdict. There are electrical outlets available for charging your gadgets. Free WiFi is also available. Seats are not cushioned. They are not ideal for lounging around and some people may feel uncomfortable after a few hours of sitting. As I said, the place is out of the way of heavy foot traffic. Normally, you would need to have a private car, Grab, or a taxi to get there comfortably. You may also try the jeeps that pass through MH Del Pilar street if you are familiar with their route. Or you could walk, especially if you want to see the uh... sights of Malate.Haha!

A hard to find, cozy and minimalist café in Malate where you can spend a quiet time with God. 🙏 Their carrot cake is superb too! ❤

  • 4/5 Camille J. 5 years ago on Google
The place has a laidback vibe perfect for quiet study, work or catching up over coffee (or tea) and cookies (or cake). It is unfortunate that the storefront faces west - great if you are waiting for the sunset over Manila Bay (although you can't see it from inside the cafe) - but a little too uncomfortable to be chill.

Nice pour over coffee. Single origin is a bit pricey though compared to others. Don't expect much on the ambiance and interior because it feels like you're in a garage with seats and tables. My wife also tried the mocha, but I personally didn't like, I just think that the chocolate overpowers the coffee too much that you may think that you're drinking hot choco. It's worth a try though for coffee aficionados. The service is so so. The guy who took my order is not very welcoming and feels like he wants me to leave because I don't belong there.

Had a lovely Sunday brunch. Tried cold brew coffee and it was good. Although they are famous for coffee, pasta was the best part for me. This place is not far from the legaspi park and greenbelt, but the whole street was quiet and peaceful.

Good food, great coffee and pet friendly! They only have a couple of tables outside if you wanna "dine in", but mostly do pick ups and takeaway. Nice that they have their popular blends in nespresso compatible capsules apart from the beans itself.

  • 5/5 Iko D. 2 years ago on Google
Since I visited during ECQ, only takeout and delivery are accepted. Ordered their handbrew coffee. It is pricey but the coffee is flavorful. I enjoyed it. Hope to try their waffle next time.

Good pour over coffee. Takes a while. I wish they used the local beans though instead of always the Colombian. Also, they close randomly.

Ordered their Golden Ticket Blend Flat White. The blend is supposed to taste almond, caramel and chocolate but the coffee was just meh, bitter. I don't think they monitor the milk froth temp. I prefer my white around 60-65C but they served the coffee <50C. Pricey 9oz coffee served in a low-quality paper cup. Also, they won't accept dine in. Third Wave Coffee shouldn't be like this. Overrated, overpriced and unejoyable.

  • 3/5 KK L. 2 years ago on Google
Coffee was decent, not much space for dine in since there’s only a few tables they set up on the street. I’ve bought there twice, once is an iced latte and the second time was a hot latte. I feel that the iced latte milk taste isnt to my liking and the second time hot latte was scalding hot. Please watch out the temperature served to the customer, latte to go is supposed to enable you to drink it as you go.

It’s always a good day when you get a cup of coffee from Yardstick. My favorite drink (oat caramel latte) isn’t available right now so I opted for an iced mocha and it definitely hits the spot!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! Coffees were good, however the service and the lines were really slow. The lady at the cashier took really long to take orders and for us to get the order, it took 1hr 15mins. The place wasn’t short staffed at all, the flow was just not there.

  • 3/5 PP M. 9 months ago on Google
Coffee as always is amazing. Although they ran out of single origin coffee and only had the blend it was still goo. Also didn’t get to say it was take out so they placed it in a take out cup. Noticed the difference of the amount of coffee it dine in or take out but nonetheless it wasn’t much difference. The French toast was too expensive and had no flavor :( i was super disappointed since it caused 450 pesos. Quite scared to give the other food options a try but will certainly be back for the coffee.

Great place, place is big but not large enough to accommodate specially at their busy hours since it can get crowded, medyo well known rin ang area, their pour over coffee are also great, hindi ko natry yung pastry nila since it was out of my budget during my visit, would try them on my future visit though. Marami kang pagpipilian ng coffee and it's also bike friendly.

Loving the new look of this coffee shop! Lots of space and seats, but it was almost full when we dropped by during a holiday. We were very happy with the coffee and cookie we had. Looking forward to trying their food on our next visit.

Super chill environment. Laptop friendly — they have lots of outlets. However, they don’t have WiFi. The coffee creations are really unique and interesting. I loved the corn slushy coffee and the sea salt latte! Bathroom is outdoors and in the lobby of the building next door.

Packed for a Sunday morning. Queues can take a while but the team tries to clear you as quick as possible. Service was great, food and coffee was as expected. Overall, definitely would be dropping by again if I'm back in Manila.

Ambiance is great, generous seating with outlets, and excellent coffee ground options. Wasn't able to test their WiFi but seems pretty good based on the volume of people working.
