Very interesting cultural center, it’s a three floor temporary exhibitions center with currently three shows of a very high level. I’m surprised that I oly found its existence by walking on the street, it was not mention in any cultural papers. If you pass some days in valencia you should definitely check what is going on there.

Fundacio Bancaixa is a truly magnificent place. The regular influx of new exhibitions keeps the experience fresh and engaging. A visit here is a feast for the eyes and the mind, making it a must-visit destination for art and culture enthusiasts

Very dissapointed. We paid entrance for only seeing two floors: one with paintings from one artist and one with only furniture, the collection was not versatile. It was not clearly indicated where to go, multiple floors were not accessible.

What an absolute joke. Charged 4 euros each to enter and it turns out all they had open was about 150 square meters on the 4th floor showing about 30 pieces of furniture, that was it. The lady at the front desk didn't mention that every other floor and room was closed. We were in and out in 5 minutes including toilet stop. If pretty much everything is closed then there is an obligation for them to tell you what should expect before collecting your cash. Totally disrespectful and disappointing.

A well curated exhibit of art. Each floor has a specific theme, ranging from art nouveau , contemporary and modern art, which changes each season. Beautifully displayed.

This private centre is used for talks, lectures and exhibitions, as well as housing a private collection, open to the public. It's small and well-run and sometimes holds unusual exhibitions with some surprising works of art. If you want a quick dose of culture, it's conveniently located in the city centre. Worth a visit.

Visited the art exhibition of Joachim Sorolla it was brilliant. The initial welcome was great and the first room showed his life. If you don't speak Spanish it's worth using the QR code which allows you to read in English. There is an impressive presentation which is well worth sitting through. The way the pictures are brought to life is unique. Finally the Virtual Reality is worth the entrance fee alone. Highly highly recommend a visit.

I was really surprised. There are currently two great exhibitions and a third is starting in 5 or 6 days. Very nice frame. Admission was probably en Euro if I remember correctly, I didn't regret it. The museum is located on the edge of the old town

Art museum with ever changing exhibitions. You have to pay to get in, unlike some of the other museums in the city.

A gallery that offers different exhibitions roughly half a year. If you are visiting in 2024, do not miss the Sorolla exhibition! I have visited the Sorolla en Negro (Sorolla in black) exhibit before, but this time it is about his use of light, for which is he is famed for. It also includes a VR experience at the end which I was awed by. The waiting time is usually none. Usually there is no English text (depends on the exhibition) - I would recommend using Google translate's photo tool.

The art exhibit at Fundacion Bancaja Valencia featuring Sorolla, Magritte, and Botero was an absolute delight for art enthusiasts. The collection was thoughtfully curated, and the works of these masters were awe-inspiring. The exhibition space was well-organized, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the art. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in fine art and culture. Kudos to the organizers for putting together such a wonderful experience!

Went to the Sorolla Exhibition and loved it! They combined the original art with some new features like virtual reality and a movie room. Loved the idea. However, it was a bit disappointing that the about/welcoming text of the exhibition was available in English, but nothing else was then eventually explained in English. For international visitors it would have been nice to have some translation.

We came to see the Sorella exhibition, which was very very nice (great pieces, scenography etc). Sadly the visit ends with a VR experience (which is ok if you never tried) where some of the ppl taking care of it were not very pleasant, ignoring us or turning their back when we were trying to talk to them. Then during the VR experience I was also told by someone to keep walking while I was in a dead end in the VR scene, with no further instructions (we were not told we had to wait at each section for a door to appear at the end of a timer). So I proceeded following the person in front of me who was a bit ahead in the script, and ended up walking through a wall. I got then blamed by the same person saying "you know you're not supposed to pass through walls right ?!". I answered that yes, I know about VR environments a lot and it was indeed confusing to have to do that, but since he told me to keep walking, I did, and used the person in front of me as a guide. Since he then stayed silent, I raised my headset because I didn't know what to do nor where that person was. He immediately blamed me for that, saying sarcasticly "Oh, then you should know that you're not supposed to remove or touch the headset as it's EXTREMELY fragile ?", while I raised it very cautiously of a couple cm, holding it firmly with both my hands, to see him while confused. I litteraly design and concieve those type of headsets, anyway. He also for some unknown reason weirdly backed off his head, raising his palms up when I answered. They're not EXTREMELY fragile as he overexagerated it, if you manipulate them cautiously. So yeah for the high price you have to pay to enter this Private fundation, it wasn't such a great experience at the end, but the Sorella exhibition is totally worth it. ❤️

There was no exhibition when we visited and the receptionist charged us the normal entry fee without telling us about it. She sent us to the 4th floor to a small room with some pieces of old furniture. It was a disgrace!

Great collection.Never seen so many drawings of Picasso and Goya in one place. I loved the collection of the British Artists. A great summary !

Great space (3 floors open when I visited) for temporary art exhibitions. Lighting, hanging, display wonderful. The Sorolla portraits especially good. Only negative, no photography allowed and no exhibition catalogue either.

If you only go to see the work of Juan Genovés it will be enough. His paintings are a must see up close and in person. Great art!

Unfortunately most of the shows seem to be about showing off their personal collection or trying to increase the value of certain late career or dead artists. Usually very conservative, either classical or very established mid 20th century painters. Costs 7 euros & is rarely worth it.

Great small carefully curated collection and exhibitions in a beautiful part of the city. It's a shame that orientation materials are sparse and few English translations included .

Attended a Flamenco and Classical music fusion performance. The performance was excellent and very entertaining. The venue was OK but more designed for a business presentation (there were pull out desk in the arm of the chairs).

This museum is generally good value for money, now around 7€(don't forget your student card for discounts) compared to prices in other countries. I was very impressed with the beauty of the exhibition of Valencian painters - Porcar, Lahuerta y Lozano, though all the exhibitions were of high quality.

Usually has a great art collection to see. The building itself is very impressive from the outside, and had many floors of galleries to visit inside.

The best place to see modern and contemporary art in Valencia.

👍👍 This is an amazing multicultural space with talks, drama, live music and all sorts of cultural activities, some of which are accessible to English speakers and others are worth it even if you don't speak Spanish
