Amazing art ... totally recommend this place. Free entrance too. Beautiful central garden. Unfortunately no little café to stop off and have a drink, but lots of exhibition spaces. Really we've always found an excellent selection of artists work... great building to explore. We just visited March 2022- brilliant exhibition on Global Warming. Front of house staff are all very helpful and friendly. Lockers available with returnable coins.

This is a beautiful exhibition space and recently they do have some interesting collections on display. However the security totally spoils the experience. They must think they work on a building site or a bank and try to intimidate visitors with their presence by closely following you every minute. If there's one visitor in a room multiple security following you or they are just constantly staering at you It's ridiculous. The institution needs to provide training to their staff. A museum security must remain invisible and polite at all times. Not clicking the visitor counter in your face. Just ridiculous.

Beautiful building. Free to enter. Some interesting exhibitions if you like Contemporary art. The facilities were clean. Access is easy for everyone. One of the best parts is the centre where you can sit / relax and take some time out from the city. The staff were friendly. Overall I would recommend

Interesting mix of ancient building and modern art. The place is quite amazing and relaxing. I was less impressed with current expositions but there were some good pieces of art. Definitely worth the stop as it's free anyway so nothing to regret afterwards.

We stumbled across this place during our visit to Valencia, and decided to enter as the entrance was free! The building itself is worth the visit already, and we saw some very interesting exhibitions too (my personal favourite: the illustrations by Miguel Calatayud). Eventually we spent much more time here than we expected 😀 If you have some time, definitely worth visiting!

This is my favorite (free!!) museum in the city. The exhibitions are always very thought-provoking, there are wonderful events and lectures, and they often have interactive exhibitions for the whole family. There are three levels of exhibition rooms, the upper dormitory often being overlooked and forgotten. It is a beautiful juxtaposition of modern art with beautiful historic architecture.

Surprising find, and free! Beautiful former cloisters with colourful courtyard and colonnade illumination. Rotating exhibitions.

Beautiful architecture to view but none of the exhibitions have English explanations (just Spanish and Valenciano) so didn't really understand anything

Really cool cultural hub in the centre of the city. Free entry, beautiful outside central garden in the courtyard. Some interesting artistic exhibits, but the information was in Spanish and Valencian (I think). No English. There was a free live music event that evening so I came back at 7:30pm. They also gave us a free alcoholic beverage.

It was free on Sunday, you have where to leave small luggage, but there weren’t any functional sinks in the women’s bathrooms.

Very interesting museum with free entrance! It is located in several historic buldings, all connected, and from different eras and architectural styles. The exhibitions I visited were great and diversified. In the center it has a very peaceful garden, where you can relax. A must-visit for art and architecture lovers.

Incredible old venue, parts of it dating back at least 400 years. Beautiful courtyard area & usually has several art shows going at the same time so there´s usually at least one good one! Free entrance too & in the beautiful old Carmen district with good cheap bars & cafes on the same block.

Amazing place in a city center - El Carmen. Always has new exhibitions of local and international artists 👩‍🎨 The entrance is free of charge. A wonderful way of spending a couple of hours if you wish to taste the art, not only the amazing Valencian cuisine.

What a beautiful place to visit! The building is an old convent and has some lovely calm peaceful and pretty little gardens. So serene. The art was amazing!! And the information about the artists and their work was so good too, with QR codes that link to websites with more information (useful if you're not fluent in Spanish). All free!! We loved it!

beautiful building without a doubt, with so much more potential. There were a few exhibitions going on, some quite good. Set up was chaotic, illumination was quite poor and most of all for only 1 exhibition, the signs were also in English. When I informed why I was told this was what the curator wanted! The exhibitions could be more interesting/ better understood when explanations could be read in an international language. Valencia has many tourists these days. Up your game CCCC!

I’m so much into this exhibition center, modern, vivid, vintage and elegant. Love the vibes there. What’s more, it’s free entrance! Drop by anytime and let the exhibits surprise you.

Definitely a must if you're in Valencia. The historic building is incredible and it's a really peaceful oasis in the city. Free to enter and the exhibits change frequently and have been interesting to us.

A must visit for contemporary art lovers. The building in itself is worth visiting.

Really interesting building with a wide range of quality exhibitions. And it was free. I'm amazed that I'd never been there before and that I heard about it on a radio programme rather than from local publicity.

Huge art place with free entrance. This month there was exposition about planet problems such as pollution and global warming. Different small thematic rooms.

Great exhibition! Very colorful, artsy and educational. Our kids loved it! A lot of the rooms and places in the building are closed and you can get lost roaming the hallways… but fun experience and perfect to start the day in Valencia!

Great show!!! in an old building of the 13th century Art exhibition of contemporary art! A very interesting idea of the authors who advocated the protection of flora and fauna! They expressed their support for nature and natural phenomena with their works!!! A call to people to hear nature!!! Very recommend!!!

This place is a cool art venue with many temporary exhibitions, and the entrance is free. It was a cloister before becoming a cultural center. The garden in the center is lovely. When I visited, there was an exhibition called “Emergency on Planet Earth”. It was super impressive! The staff was very helpful.

Historic building, formerly a convent, housing very interesting exhibitions of art. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free admission.

I thought this was a wonderful exhibit. I did want to add that the security can be a bit overbearing, as one reviewer mentioned before. At times, especially in the main exhibition room, it can really feel like they are breathing down your neck. Highly recommend a visit though!

Very nice and welcoming staff, free admission but the museum in itself is poor and is not worth visiting especially if your visit to Valencia is short

Fine contemporary art museum in Valencia, worth a visit for the historical architecture alone, ambitious curatorial programme.

  • 5/5 Svetlana D. 2 years ago on Google
Interesting and social exhibitions. Exhibitions change frequently. Free entrance.

  • 4/5 Ana S. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful place to see some interesting art expos and simply enjoy the architecture. They have great safety precautions due to covid which is very much appreciated but it would be best to have more air conditioner in the halls because it can get heated with the masks. The staff is super friendly though and super open to helping!
